Help, I'm in Another World and All the Men Are So Hot! [BL]-Chapter 117: Unexpected Rewards
So, for now, Damien decided to kiss him again.
"Now then, let’s stop fooling around and get to the topic of the reward."
Damien and Theo exchanged glances, and as Damien leaned in to kiss Theo again, the elf interrupted.
Damien was getting frustrated.
But still, the elf had helped Theo, so he couldn’t be too upset.
Now, he just wanted the elf to hurry up, take his reward, and leave.
"Of course. I apologize for the trouble I caused," the elf said. "Regarding the reward, can I consider it as a loan for now?"
A "loan," huh? That made Damien wonder if the elf always had some kind of debt going on.
The elf seemed to really like making these kinds of exchanges.
"Hmm, I would say yes, but the reward for this time has already been decided."
"Eh? Really?"
Damien noticed that Theo also looked surprised by that.
"What is it?" Theo asked. "As promised, I will do everything I can to meet your wishes."
"Well, it’s simple. I would like to stay in this mansion for a while."
Damien couldn’t hide his displeasure the moment he heard the elf’s request.
He felt his face stiffen.
"Teacher, staying in one place for so long is unusual for you. Of course, we would be happy to have you, but didn’t you dislike living in human settlements?" Theo remarked.
"That hasn’t changed," the elf responded. "But this time, there’s an interesting test subject here."
The elf looked at Damien as he said that.
Damien froze. It seemed like the elf was eyeing him as the test subject.
"...Damien is something I deeply care for. If anyone tries to harm him, I’ll stop them, even if it’s impossible," Theo said, his voice cold.
Damien shivered. He wasn’t the one Theo was addressing, but hearing those words made him feel like he was being protected, and it sent a chill down his spine.
He realized he had to be careful not to make Theo angry.
He would spoil Theo, cover him in sweetness, and make sure nothing happened to him.
"Hmm, that’s the spirit. Come at me if you like," the elf said with a chuckle. "But... well, let’s say I find Damien quite useful as a toll for me to relax. Don’t worry, I don’t plan to break him."
Bad news. The elf had taken a liking to Damien.
Damien couldn’t suppress his disgust.
For a moment, Theo stared at the elf suspiciously, but eventually, he seemed to relax, probably deciding there was no deception involved.
"In that case, you’re welcome to stay," Theo said, his expression softening. "Stay as long as you like."
"Hmm, I’ll be a bother, but don’t worry, I won’t stay too long," the elf assured.
So it was decided that the elf would stay in Theo’s estate for a while.
Damien’s plan was to find a way to get him out as quickly as possible.
...
"Sebas, you did it very well," Theo said. "The mansion must have been in an uproar when I collapsed, but you managed to keep everyone together without incident. That was a great achievement."
Now that Damien thought about it, even though it was a huge event when Theo collapsed, when Damien woke up, there wasn’t a hint of chaos in the mansion at all.
It felt like a state of heightened alert, but everyone remained calm and the mansion looked just like usual.
Looking back on it now, it was impressive how Sebas managed everything without letting any issues arise after Theo collapsed.
"I’d like to give you a reward. Is there anything you’d like? You could take a break and visit your grandchildren, if you’d like."
"Wait, Sebas has grandchildren?!" Damien thought, startled by the mention.
He had never once gotten a sense of Sebas’s personal life, so hearing Theo mention it was a complete shock.
Wow, Damien thought, he’d love to meet Sebas’s grandchildren.
"Thank you. Well, there is one thing I’d like," Sebas said.
"Of course, anything you wish."
"Although this is after the fact, I used one serving of the Ceylome tea that was granted to us by His Majesty the other day. I would like to ask for your permission for that."
"Wait, you used it already?!" Theo exclaimed with wide-eyed.
The elf, who had been quietly listening, looked flustered at the revelation.
"I apologize for using such a precious item without permission," Sebas said, bowing his head deeply.
"There’s no need for that," Theo replied. "I was just shocked, and I know you very well Sebas, I’m sure it was necessary. It’s fine. I forgive you."
"Thank you very much," Sebas said, bowing respectfully, while the elf sighed in relief.
Damien clicked his tongue, not impressed.
"Now, next up is Leonide," Theo said, turning to call him over. "Come here... Actually, why are you standing so far away?"
Leonide had still been standing against the wall, as the elf had instructed, but now Theo called him over.
"I... well, a few things happened," Leonide replied awkwardly.
"...?" Theo looked at him with a puzzled expression, but Damien thought it wasn’t something that needed an explanation.
It was all the elf’s fault.
Leonide, following Theo’s instructions, walked over and knelt beside Theo’s bed, taking a formal position.
"Well, that’s fine," Theo said. "Now, about this situation... if Leonide hadn’t noticed Damien’s special condition, things would have escalated much further. Therefore, Leonidel’s contribution is exceptionally great. In recognition of his efforts, I will grant him one wish. Anything he desires."
"Whoa!" Damien thought, impressed.
Certainly, if Leonide hadn’t noticed, it was highly likely that Theo would have remained unconscious for many years, if not decades. In a sense, it could be said that he saved his life.
He saved the heir to the marquis family. Considering that, perhaps this level of reward was only natural.
"I humbly accept your words. If I may, I have one request," Leonide said.
"Of course, if it’s something I can grant, I will."
