Help, I'm in Another World and All the Men Are So Hot! [BL]-Chapter 115: A Promise to Protect
The elf’s smug face was annoying, but at that moment, he looked almost divine.
Damien reluctantly decided to overlook the elf’s inappropriate behavior.
"So?" Damien pressed.
"Huh?" The elf raised an eyebrow.
What now?
"So? Don’t you have something else to say?" Damien repeated.
The elf’s smug face grew even more self-satisfied.
Ugh, he’s so annoying!
...But, I have to do this to help Theo. I should just put up with it.
"...I’ll owe you one, so please cooperate," Damien said.
"Where’s the ’please’?" the elf teased, grinning.
Damien felt a wave of anger. He wanted to punch that grin right off his face.
"Please," Damien said through gritted teeth.
The elf’s smile grew wider. "I’ll accept your ’please’ if you let me touch your backside as much as I want."
Damien was stunned.
This guy...!
"Hmm? I can’t hear you?"
"I’ll let you touch my backside as much as you want, so please do it!" Damien shouted in frustration.
"Alright! One favor and unlimited butt pats, deal!" The elf responded with a satisfied smile as he slapped Damien’s rear.
One day, I’ll make this guy cry.
...
Once Damien had come back from being a human chair, he stood beside the elf, both of them now by Theo’s bedside.
As they moved closer, Damien had almost ruined the magic device each time his hand brushed them, and now, only a few of the magic devices remained on Theo’s body.
"Alright, stay still," the elf commanded.
While saying that, the elf continued to fondle Damien’s rear.
He had allowed the elf to pat it, but he definitely hadn’t given permission for any fondling.
"I told you not to move," the elf scolded. "In order to manipulate mana you need to do it carefully, so don’t move at all."
Damien tried to swat the elf’s hand away, but he was immediately reprimanded.
If you need to do it carefully, then why are you even need to touchme in the first place?
"The mana you release, the further it gets from you, the more it mixes with the surrounding mana and eventually just becomes ordinary mana," the elf explained. "That means, the further away you are, the less efficient the absorption will be, but the closer you are, the more efficient the absorption becomes. However, if you’re too close, it could be harmful to someone with high absorption abilities, like Theo. That’s why I need you to stay in that position. Don’t move a muscle."
Damien clenched his fists. He’d heard it was for Theo’s sake, so he wouldn’t move—not even an inch.
Even though the elf’s hand on his rear was annoying, he would hold still.
The elf started chanting a spell with his eyes closed.
Damien could tell he was truly focused now; the elf’s hand on his rear had stopped moving.
...Was it strange that Damien was measuring the elf’s seriousness based on something so trivial?
As those thoughts crossed his mind, something sparkling caught his eye from the corner of his vision.
Wondering what it was, he watched as the sparkles grew more numerous, until the entire area around him began to shimmer.
The sparkles, in a strange mix of colors, slowly gathered in one place—right in front of Damien’s chest—and eventually formed into a thick beam of light that connected to Theo’s chest, where he was lying in bed.
"Ha... that should be enough for now," the elf muttered, wiping the sweat that had appeared on his brow with his sleeve.
So, this is how the elf was sending mana to Theo?
Looking closely, Damien could see that the sparkles around him were being absorbed into the light beam, flowing steadily toward Theo. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"The spell is fixed now, so a little movement should be fine... about a step in any direction," the elf said.
T-That really is ’a little.’
Well, still, it’s a lot better than being completely immobile.
The elf started fondling Damien’s rear again, but Damien decided to let it slide—just this once, since the elf seemed to be working hard.
"How long do you think it will take for Theo to wake up?" Damien asked.
"Well, if it’s just waking up, it shouldn’t take too long. It should be soon," the elf replied.
Almost on cue, Theo’s eyelids slowly fluttered open.
"Theo!?" Damien gasped, instinctively stepping forward before quickly stopping himself.
No, no, I can’t move... I shouldn’t move.
But it’s good... Theo’s waking up!
Tears started to well up in Damien’s eyes, and he couldn’t stop them.
"...Har? I’m so glad you’re okay..." Theo whispered, his voice weak but full of relief as he looked at Damien. Afterward, he glanced curiously at the light beam connecting them.
"Ah, Theo, that light is your lifeline. You probably can’t move, but don’t try to, unless I say it’s okay," the elf instructed.
"T-Teacher? W-Why are you here...?" Theo asked weakly, his voice full of surprise despite his exhaustion.
Ah, just hearing Theo’s voice, no matter what it sounds like, reassures Damien...
"I will explain everything that happened while the young master was asleep," Sebas said, breaking the silence.
The elf didn’t seem inclined to explain anything at all.
Leonide was still standing by the wall, as usual.
Damien, overwhelmed by his emotions, couldn’t stop the tears. He couldn’t speak, nor could he even manage a smile.
In moments like this, it was definitely Sebas who could be relied upon.
...
"Is that really what happened...?" Theo’s voice broke the silence, after Sebas continuing to explain the situation. Also during his explanation, Theo’s color visibly improved.
At first, his face had been deathly pale, but now a faint flush of color was returning.
"Teacher, it’s my first time meeting you in person. I’m terribly sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused. Sebas and Leonide must’ve been worried too."
Theo, unable to move, gave a small bow of his head to each of them.
And then, finally, he spoke again.
"Damien... I’m so glad to see you again."
He said it with a gentle smile.
