"Come on..." I urge Elian as I stand proudly beside the bath I drew for him.

The tub is filled with warm water, milk, relaxing oils and rose petals and polygalas.

Elian stands at the entrance of the bathroom with his straight hands and fingers locked in front of him. His cheeks are red, and he’s nervously scratching one leg with the other.

He’s clad in a silky see-through bathrobe I got him, and he looks like a little present.

"You... did all this for... me?" He questions, and I smile at him.

"Yes, I did. I hoped it would help you relax and heal faster." I reply, and his red eyes stare at me with silent awe.

"You didn’t... have to. I’m not used to people doing so much for me..." He begins as he walks slowly over to me, and my smile grows as he gets to me.

"You should get used to it. Now, you have people who would go over and beyond for you. Especially me." I reply as I lift his chin, and his lips quiver.

He suddenly wraps his arms around me, and I freeze.

He makes a sound like he’s about to say something, but no words follow.

I smile, and I know what he wants to say. He doesn’t have to speak for me to understand him. I can sense and understand his gratitude.

I wrap my arms around him and pull him closer to myself. I bury my nose in his hair and take a deep breath as I feel the warmth of his body against my bare chest.

I ruffle his hair and gently kiss it, and he looks sup at me.

I stare into his eyes and smile at him. I brush his brown hair back, and his eyes twinkle like enchanted rubies.

I don’t know who ever dared to hurt him in his past life. I don’t know how anyone would look into these innocent eyes and decide that pain is what he deserves. I may not be able to fix all of them, but every wound that the world has left on him, I will try my best to heal.

I place a feather-light kiss on his forehead, and he buries his face in my chest, causing me to smile.

"Are you ready for your bath, my love? We don’t want the water running cold." I speak, and he nods shyly.

With a smile on my face, I scoop him into my arms and kneel beside the tub. I gently place him into the tub, and I hear him exhale in satisfaction as the warm water embraces his skin.

In the milky water, I help him take off his robe and drop it on the floor beside me.

Then I pick up the soft sponge I got for him and begin to run it gently over his hand.

He stares at me in silence, with a completely red face, and I smile at how adorable he looks when embarrassed.

"Join me." He says, and I pause, and I look up at him in surprise.

"Your... body needs to heal, too, right? I couldn’t draw a bath for you, so let’s share this one." He adds, and I smile.

Without a word of protest, I stand up, pull off my Krompa, and get into the tub behind him.

With my legs spread out on both sides of him, and him between my legs, I begin to gently wash his back. He hugs his knees as he plays with the petals in the bath, and I smile.

"Elian...?" I call softly, and he turns his face sideways so he can stare at me.

"Yeah?" He replies, and I take a deep breath.

This isn’t how I planned to ask the questions, but I... a lot of things haven’t been going to plan recently. So, I’m just going to ask now because, for some reason, it feels right.

"I know you want a befitting proposal... And to be honest, I planned all of that..." I begin, and he slowly turns around in the tub to face me.

"Now just feels... perfect, and I don’t want the moment to slip by..." I continue, and I see his eyes light up.

"Elian, will you make the most honourable Alpha in the world, but agreeing to be... my partner in love and law... for as long as you’ll have me?" I ask, and his jaw drops.

"Marry me at the next full moon," I add, and a massive smile splits his face. My heart pounds as I watch tears build a thick wall in his beautiful red eyes.

"When you put it like that... How can I say no?" He replies, and a relieved sigh escapes me.

"Of course, I’ll marry you, Koda. Who wouldn’t want to?!" He adds with a laugh, and I join him as he closes the gaps between us and lies against my chest.

I hold him to myself and look up to the ceiling as gratitude fills my heart.

"And I hope you know this is for life. If I see some scrawny Omega around you from henceforth, you’re going to have a missing people problem on your hands." He says, and I can not help the laughter that escapes me.

I laugh hard at his words, and he joins in. Our laughter fills the space, and tears rush to my eyes.

I can’t tell if they’re happy tears or tears of gratitude that Goddess Thalyra found me worthy of such a treasure. I never thought life could be better till this ray of sunlight rolled into my life.

I never noticed that I was incomplete... Till he completed me.

He snuggles closer to me, causing the water to swish around us and the petals to drift on the water’s surface.

"I love you, Koda." He whispers, and I look back down at him.

"So much. You have no idea what you mean to me." He adds, and my heart skips a beat..

He looks up at me, and our eyes lock.

"In a world filled with riches, magic, and unfathomable luxury... I’ve been blessed with the greatest treasure yet." He says, and my heart quiets as his word wraps around it like a blanket.

I take my hand out of the water and caress his cheek as I stare at his delicate features.

"Where did you learn to talk like this? You speak like a poet." I reply as I run the pad of my thumb over his lower lip, and he smiles as he rests his head against my chest once again.

"Maybe that’s what made Shakespeare such a beautiful writer. Love births a stream of creativity that can not be contained." He whispers, and I smile as I gently stroke his hair.

"Hmm..." I reply, even though I don’t know who Shakespeare is, but I get his point.

"My love for you, however, is a light that illuminates the shadows I never knew my heart had," I reply, and he looks back up at me with a smile so bright, it warms my heart.

"Now, who’s a poet?" He whispers, and I chuckle.

I stare at him in silence as I hold him in my arms, right where it feels like he belongs.

My heart was silently making wishes I never knew about. And yet... of all of them, you’re the only one that ever came true.

I will make sure I spend every waking day letting you know that.
