Chapter 69: Chapter 70 The Groveling Han Bing!

Han Bing bowed her head, her posture downright groveling.

Even Tang Xuewu was taken aback. How could Qin Long know a big shot like Han Bing, and why is she so respectful to him?

"Sorry, I refuse," Qin Long said coldly, not even bothering to lift his eyelids.

"This..." Han Bing was startled, a flicker of coldness flashing through her eyes. When has she, Han Bing, ever been rejected like this? But she needed Qin Long’s help today and had no choice but to suppress her anger.

"Young Master Qin, I was recommended to you by Madam Zhao," Han Bing said with a soft smile. "She will also be at the banquet today."

Hearing this, Qin Long fell into thought. Why would Zhao Ruoying recommend this woman to me? Could she have found a lead on the Snow Heart Grass? If so, my right leg could recover soon. After all, Zhao Ruoying has already gathered the other herbs. The only one missing is the Snow Heart Grass, which grows in the Extreme Cold Land and is incredibly difficult to find. It’s highly likely she’s found a clue.

"Did she tell you anything?" Qin Long asked, looking at Han Bing.

"Young Master Qin, I’m not sure. Wouldn’t it be better for you to go to the hotel and ask her in person?" Han Bing said, her expression full of flattery.

"Fine," Qin Long said with a dismissive wave. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

"Excellent! Let’s go now!" Han Bing rushed forward to take Qin Long’s cane, ignoring everyone else.

"Where are you taking him?" Tang Xuewu bit her lip, stepping protectively in front of Qin Long. Han Bing looked dangerous, and although Tang Xuewu was afraid, she refused to let Qin Long be put in harm’s way.

"Get the hell out of the way, bitch!" a woman in black leather pants behind Han Bing suddenly roared, glaring fiercely at Tang Xuewu.

Han Bing had seen many beautiful women, but Tang Xuewu was truly stunning, with a perfect hourglass figure, fair skin, long, slender legs, an exquisite face, and charming, almond-shaped eyes. Ordinarily, this wouldn’t concern her. What did concern her was the boundless killing intent suddenly radiating from Qin Long beside her. Han Bing looked up at him and found his cold, hard gaze locked on her bodyguard.

"She is my fiancée."

The words struck Tang Xuewu like a clap of thunder, and she froze. An immense sense of security washed over her. Deep inside, a warm current enveloped her heart, and her pretty face flushed with a mixture of shyness and indignation.

BOOM!

Han Bing and her bodyguard were instantly stunned. They had gone through so much trouble to coax Qin Long out. If he snubbed them again over such a trivial matter...

"You’re courting death!" Han Bing shrieked, grabbing her bodyguard by the hair and viciously kicking her in the chest.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Each kick landed with ruthless force until the bodyguard coughed up a mouthful of blood.

A chill shot down the spines of Zhang Meilan and Tang Xuewu. Just a single look from Qin Long was enough to make a queen-like figure like Han Bing personally beat her own bodyguard? How could he possess such power?

"Now crawl over there and kowtow to your sister-in-law and beg for forgiveness!" Han Bing snarled. "If your sister-in-law doesn’t forgive you, I’ll dump your body at the bottom of the river today!"

The bodyguard nodded desperately. She scrambled on all fours over to Tang Xuewu, kowtowing and pleading, "Sister-in-law, please spare my life! I was blind to your status, and my mouth is foul! Please, a great person like you shouldn’t concern yourself with a lowly person like me..."

Tears streamed down her face as she kowtowed so hard that her forehead began to bleed.

"That’s enough, you didn’t mean it," Tang Xuewu said, finally snapping out of her daze.

"Come here."

Tang Xuewu didn’t want any more trouble, but Qin Long’s icy voice cut through the air. This wasn’t about being petty. Today, he had to establish his dominance and make sure these neighbors would never dare to mock Tang Xuewu again. Anyone who bullied Xuewu had to be prepared to face his wrath.

"This..." The bodyguard was dazed.

Standing to the side, Han Bing thought for a moment before saying coldly, "Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear Young Master Qin’s order?" Han Bing was about to explode with anger at her subordinate. "Useless bitch, get over here!"

"Yes, Sister Bing." The bodyguard nodded repeatedly and scrambled over to Qin Long.

Qin Long looked down his nose at Han Bing and ordered icily, "Slap her."

"Slap her!" Qin Long repeated.

SMACK!

The bodyguard cried out in pain.

"Again! Harder!"

SMACK!

SMACK!

"Have you not eaten today?!"

Han Bing herself was a trained fighter. Hearing Qin Long’s command, she unleashed another vicious slap. With just a glance, Qin Long had made this queen-like woman bow and scrape in total obedience. The haughty bodyguard was used to being arrogant and overbearing; she had never been beaten so miserably. And it was all because she had insulted Tang Xuewu.

The onlookers were so frightened their mouths hung agape. Those who had harbored thoughts of leering at Tang Xuewu or mocking her couldn’t help but touch their own faces. If even Han Bing’s personal bodyguard was beaten so brutally for offending Tang Xuewu—by Han Bing’s own hand—what chance did they stand?

Seeing the terror in his neighbors’ eyes, Qin Long felt quite satisfied. He didn’t care if they mocked him. But if anyone bullied Xuewu—be they a neighbor or some damn big shot—they were courting death.

"Young Master Qin, please don’t be angry," Han Bing said, looking at Qin Long with a fawning expression. "When we get back, I’ll destroy that mouth of hers."

Qin Long gave a slight wave of his hand, then turned to Tang Xuewu and nodded. "Xuewu, I’m going to a dinner party. Don’t worry about me."

"I’m not... worried..." Tang Xuewu’s face flushed red as she lowered her head and whispered, "Just... don’t drink too much. Come back early."

"Alright," Qin Long said with a gentle smile.

Nearby, Zhang Meilan watched with cold eyes, not daring to curse at Qin Long. After all, even a major figure like Han Bing was treating him with such reverence. She certainly didn’t want to offend the Underworld Queen of Jiangzhong, a woman whose ruthless methods made countless people tremble in fear.

In an instant, the entire convoy of Rolls-Royces vanished from the street.

The terrified onlookers quickly scurried away, their opinion of Qin Long completely transformed. First, it was the ’Iron Lady’ Zhao Ruoying who came personally to invite him. Then, it was Li Yao, the head of Jiangzhong’s Flying Dragon Bank, acting as his personal chauffeur. And now, the Underworld Queen of Jiangzhong, Han Bing, was inviting him with such groveling deference. Could it be that Qin Long is actually someone incredible? Isn’t he supposed to be a penniless good-for-nothing? But how could a good-for-nothing command invitations from so many powerful people? They were all so respectful, terrified of angering him—even the famously fearless Han Bing... It seems that ’fool’ is anything but ordinary! From now on, we have to stay on Tang Xuewu’s good side. We can’t ever offend her, or we’ll end up dead in a ditch.

With these calculations running through their minds, everyone departed.

Shaken, Zhang Meilan pulled a stunned Tang Xuewu to the sofa. "Xuewu, what in the world is going on with Qin Long?" she asked, looking at her daughter with a bewildered expression.

"Mom, I don’t know either..." Tang Xuewu admitted, just as baffled.

"How could a she-devil like Han Bing be so respectful to him?" Zhang Meilan couldn’t help but press.

Tang Xuewu shook her head and sighed. "Maybe we never truly understood him. It’s possible... that the old Qin Long really was someone extraordinary," she ventured.

"Extraordinary?" Zhang Meilan scoffed. "He’s been a fool for three years! Apart from our family, he’s had no contact with the outside world."
