Chapter 660: Chapter 660. Gather

The banquet proceeded without any hiccups. Soon, the event came to an end. The powerhouses present returned to their destinations.

Kailen and his loved ones spent some time together. For a week, they did nothing. They played virtual universe games, visited scenic sites in the RiverBlood Empire, and caught up with one another during the time they were apart. It was a moment of relaxation.

During this period, Kailen had asked Arrie, Lawrence, Micheal, Lian Yu, Miranda and the others what they wanted to do, now that they had graduated from the Dao Enlightenment Academy. The group revealed they wanted to enter into seclusion and try to break into the universe level.

Kailen understood that this could take a while. He didn’t doubt their cultivation speed. Each one of them were geniuses in their own right. Reaching the rank 7 supreme stage dao level was definitely going to be easy for them. However, breaking into the universe level required one to achieve a consummate law state. For some, this took centuries. Some never achieved it in their lifetime. The universe level was a chasm that didn’t just require one to take a rank 7 talent enhancing elixir to cross; one also had to reach the consummate law state which was no easy feat.

Kailen knew the reason why he had broken through easily was because he naturally had preternatural comprehension abilities for the law of space. Also, the time dilation artifact had further influenced his comprehension ability for the law of space in a mysterious way. Not everyone was like him. His thoughts were not prideful; he was only being realistic. But, he didn’t doubt their abilities. Kailen wished them good luck.

He spent some alone time with Arrie during this one week period too.

As for Kailen’s grandparents, Old Ha, the Atrexians, the Ashtons, Phila, Phoebie and others, they returned to their stations in the Astral and Arman Empires.

Arrie and company too, decided to enter into seclusion in the RiverBlood Empire. This was because the imperial capital of the RiverBlood Empire had better cultivation resources than the Arman and Astral Empires. Even Micheal didn’t return to the Heavenly Lightning Sect, the sect he founded, which was now one of the cultivation havens in the Arman Empire to cultivate. Legoland made provisions for them in the Imperial capital. They were provided with the best of resources for their seclusion.

Kailen’s friends, Arrie included, eventually entered into seclusion to cultivate, to break into the universe level.

Currently, Kailen was at the beach relaxing. He had chosen this villa in the royal palace because of its serene view.

"It seems none of them will become arbiters before they break into the universe level. After all, they don’t intend to emerge from seclusion for any reason until they break into the universe level. I was really looking forward to it though," Kailen thought.

Even if some of the current arbiters broke into the universe level at some point, any of his friends who could qualify for a replacement for any of the arbiters at the said time could not be considered because they were in seclusion and had no intention to come out of seclusion for any reason until their breakthrough was complete. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Well, each one of them is destined to walk their own paths. Everyone is working so hard," Kailen thought. "Looks like it’s time to enter into the pocket world. When I return, I’ll contact the Principal and assume my professorship role in the academy."

Kailen disappeared from the beach.

Eight days later, Kailen reappeared on the beach again. He had spent 200 days in the pocket world.

He had broken through to the rank 3 intermediate stage universe level during this period in the pocket world. Kailen had also engaged in law battles with several creatures in the pocket world during this period. He had also had duels with his shadow creatures. At the same time, Kailen had spent time making various runic artifacts and alchemical products.

When he came out of the pocket world, he sent some of the runic artifacts and alchemical products to the Arman and Astral Empire for the preferred use of his grandparents and other loved ones who needed these products. At the moment, the economy of both Empires had also been boosted massively as a result of Kailen’s fame and influence. Plus, no empire in their right minds dared to cause any trouble for them.

However, Kailen didn’t let his guard down. He was always one to be careful. Several shadow creatures guarded the empires covertly. Runic arrays and several poison networks were implemented as protective systems against possible invasions, although Kailen doubted anyone will try something like that after The Great Erasure.

Apart from Kailen’s systems of protection, Legoland also sent some Intermediate stage universe level experts to back the ruling powers. This was another gesture of gratitude on his part, to Kailen. After Kailen handled these matters, his heart was at ease.

"Time to contact the Academy Principal."

In one of the Staff Residential Districts, in one of the mentor Villas, several academy mentors were currently having a discussion. The atmosphere was very lively. Currently, they were relaxing, eating and exchanging drinks. Various conversations filled the room. The sound of some pop music was playing in the background. This was a small get together they had organized after returning from some missions.

"Did you hear the news?"

"Heh, Lecturer Isaheo is pissed."

"Isaheo, the one they say could become a professor very soon? Why?"

"Well, apparently, the academy higher ups are considering someone else."

"Someone else? Could it be Lecturer Harisa?"

"Not really. It’s none of the Lecturers. Rumors are that some unknown person who’s not even in the academy is about to be made a professor directly!"

"What? How’s that possible? No wonder a lecturer is pissed."

"Yeah, even I am offended. One has to climb the ladder through sheer effort to get to a professorship level. Is the academy not insulting the efforts of staff members by doing this?"

"My thoughts exactly. Lecturer Isaheo has every right to be offended."

"But I’m very curious about whoever this person is. This is the first time since the founding of the Academy something like this has happened."

"Also, it seems no announcement has been made about this person’s identity."

"Perhaps, it will be done during the professorship ceremony of this mysterious person."

"Well, many lecturers will be pissed. Even the five professors may not deem the person worthy of being in their ranks. After all, they spent painstaking efforts to get to their level. If someone simply crosses all protocols to become a professor, won’t that be insulting to them?"

Suddenly, their ID slots blinked. Their eyes widened.

Every person in the academy, staff and students currently on academy grounds, had received this message. They were all to gather in the Great Hall of the Academy, for an inauguration of the professorship ceremony of this mysterious professor!
