He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 483 . Healing competition
The healing competition was next.
Very soon, the contestants from the various empires took the stage for the healing competition.
The first representative for the Tian Xu Empire, the lady who insulted Arrie Hall from the stands earlier, walked towards the competition grounds.
Several eyes traced towards her.
"That’s Emmanuella, the first on the healing rankings of the Tian Xu Empire academy."
"As beautiful as the rumors say."
"I heard she’s at the rank 1 beginner stage galactic level. Her healing skills are powerful."
"It seems the Tian Xu Empire plans on going all out this time."
"Look, that’s Vincent Ven. He’s the healer from the Empire of Deserts and Sands. I heard that he once healed an entire army of 700 men at the rank 1 beginner stage galactic level."
"What you are saying is not complete. These fellows were at the verge of losing their lives, but he managed to bring them to full sustenance in the span of a few moments."
"That is Freaks from the Cornelius Empire... this guy is equally terrifying. Not much is said about him, and he mostly keeps to himself. But he cannot be underestimated."
"That is Paul Swanson from the Uzumaki Empire. There are rumors that he combines healing with research to produce innovative outcomes. He’s studying at the Titanium Research Institute Branch in the Uzumaki Empire."
The spectators discussed among themselves animatedly. Unlike the runesmith competition, only four empires were participating in the healing competition. The Astral Empire and the Vatican Empire did not participate in the healing competition.
This was a common occurrence. It was natural for an empire to not have extremely elite prodigies for all competitions. This happened whenever the conference was held. So the Vatican Empire and the Astral Empire did not have anything to be ashamed of, and no one looked down on them for that.
Various sick and maimed individuals at the beginner stage galactic level were brought to the competition area. These were captured criminals who had been tortured for information and had been maimed in different ways. The criminals were at the rank 1 beginner stage galactic level, chosen according to the strength of the healers. In healing, you were able to heal those at your awakener level or below. You could not heal someone above that level.
After the criminals, a mix of individuals from different races, numbering about 950, were brought to the competition grounds. The female machine race host—the Secondary Carrier Alliance head of the Vatican Empire—announced the rules.
"The rules are simple. You are required to heal as many of these criminals as you can. The quality and speed of your healing, and the number of criminals you are able to heal, will be calculated by the AI system monitoring the competition, and the results will be decided based on that.
Also, note that everyone can forfeit at any time. If you forfeit, the registered backup participants from your empire can replace you. However, the number of patients you heal before you forfeit will not count. The results of the one who replaces you will be used. The competition ends when all the patients are healed. You may begin."
When the order was given, everyone got to work.
Healing energy of different colors shimmered to life around the participants. Each one of them moved towards the patients and started healing them.
Some of the patients had limbs that had been severed, maimed eyes, and nostrils.
But when the healers started working, each of the people they encountered recovered fully with their healing energy. This was to be expected due to the fact that all the healers were at the rank 1 beginner stage galactic level. They were all skilled.
The audience was completely mesmerized by the performance of these healers.
Cheers from supporters from various empires erupted as they cheered for their empire representatives.
The higher-ups at the VIP seats were all silent, observing everything calmly. This competition was really tense. The youngsters were equally matched.
"The only difference between their performances is the speed of their healing. The mysterious fellow from the Cornelius Empire, Freaks, right? Looks like he’s taking the lead. He’s the fastest amongst the healers," one senior said.
Another nodded. "The youngster from the Tian Xu Empire is also not bad. But she seems to be slowing down."
"Looks like that girl will disappoint you," a senior from the Arman Empire (The Empire of Deserts and Sands) said, as he pointed to the higher-ups of the Tian Xu Empire.
The words of the higher-ups from the Tian Xu Empire got stuck in their throats as they observed the participant from the Arman Empire, Vincent Ven, completely overtake not just Emmanuella from the Tian Xu Empire, but all the others from the other empires.
The results had not been decided, and there were more of the criminals to heal. But from the look of things, the spectators knew that if nothing changed, Vincent Ven from the Arman Empire would be in first place. Paul Swanson from the Uzumaki Empire would take second place. Freaks from the Cornelius Empire would take third place. And the representative from the Tian Xu Empire, Emmanuella, would be last.
Emmanuella was completely tired. Her universe energy reserves could not keep up with the performance. She had taken a couple of universe energy recovery elixirs, but she was still behind.
These guys were monsters. Her pride had been crushed. She felt very humiliated.
"At this point, I cannot shoulder the blame for our loss. Let’s just forfeit and let someone else come and continue," Emmanuella mused. "It’s not like I’m the only one at the beginner stage galactic level. If they come and we fail, it will look like I did my best, and they came to ruin everything."
A glint of selfishness flashed through her eyes.
"I forfeit."
The moment Emmanuella spoke, she left the competition grounds under the gazes of the spectators.
The backup participants from the Tian Xu Empire sighed. The strongest healer amongst them had forfeited. Even if they decided to go and compete, it would be futile—the results were decided.
Just then, someone stepped out towards the competition grounds.
Arrie Hall? Was she not a rank 5 supreme stage ascendant-level lifeform? What was she doing here?
In the VIP region of the higher-ups, the Tian Xu Empire leaders sighed.
"It seems we have lost in the healing competition too."
The other higher-ups from the other empires were enjoying their misfortune. These old men had been boasting about their previous victory for the last 200 years. Now they knew what it felt like to taste defeat.
"I don’t think you should give up just yet," Old Ha suddenly said, pointing towards the competition grounds. He was currently smiling. Why was this guy happy? Right! Arrie Hall was the fiance of his grand disciple. It seems he was rooting for her and not the Tian Xu Empire.
The higher-ups from the Tian Xu Empire stared at the competition grounds.
A young lady with white skin ,white hair, a petite and beautiful frame, and a bubbly smile on her face. She was donned in a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
"Arrie Hall? Is she not at the rank 5 supreme stage ascendant ... what?"
"Was she hiding her strength all along?"
"It seems even her seniors are surprised."
The other higher-ups discussed as they noted the expressions on the faces of the higher ups from the Tian Xu Empire.
"But can she pull off a miracle? Are the odds not against her? With the speed of the one in the lead, and even the others, can she stand a chance?" the higher-ups and even the other spectators thought.
"Go get them, babe," Kailen mused from the VIP seat of the Astral Empire participants, where he was the only one there.
A light smile tugged at the edge of his lips. He couldn’t have been prouder of Arrie.
