He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 465. Trap
The shadow creatures came out of the shadow expanse, numbering the two thousands.
"Attack."
Kailen floated tall, calm, feeding them commands via thoughts.
The shadow creatures bolted towards the battlefield, their obsidian figures casting an eerie glow across the battlefield.
Some made use of teleportation runes to appear swiftly before vampires. The vampires launched various attacks towards them, blood spears, blood ravens, alongside others.
Some of the shadow creatures were extremely colossal. They stomped on enemies like crushing a bunch of ants.
Screams reverberated across the battlefield.
The humans didn’t know who these obsidian creatures were, but it seems they were on the side of the humans.
This boosted their morale, and they fought with fervor against the vampires.
Others made use of illusion runes to confuse the enemy, creating openings and striking them to death in that brief moment.
Some shadow creatures flew, launching various attacks from an aerial standpoint, against vampiric beasts.
Poisons fell strategically like rain, turning vampires suddenly into weak non awakeners, destroying them, and killing them.
The chaos rippled forwards towards the vampire commander’s region.
Ascorn knew something was wrong. His army was being thinned for some unknown reason.
"Didn’t we just thin down their reinforcements?"
He was puzzled.
His crimson eyes glowed further for a moment, and returned to normal.
"Who the hell is this guy?"
Ascorn squinted his brows.
He turned to his lieutenant.
"Watch my back."
"Let’s see how well those creatures of his can fight. Time to initiate plan B."
"Forbidden vampire arts, Puppetry."
Ascorn’s eyes glowed more crimson.
A crimson, foggy energy suddenly spread, blanketing the void and the battlefield.
Several vampires became extremely weak when this crimson energy spread across them, as if their strength was suddenly absorbed from them.
It was obvious that this attack, whatever it was, siphoned the power of the vampire army.
Then, several ginormous crimson puppets of various shapes started appearing from the foggy energy and landed on the battlefield.
Kailen, using his elemental mirroring, noticed that the puppets had the same universe energy pathways distribution like that of the vampire army.
He knew what this meant.
These vampire puppets were an extension of the lifeforce of the weakened vampire army.
If these puppets died, the army would die.
A glint of ruthlessness flashed through his eyes as an insane thought brew in his mind.
Ascorn observed the vampire puppets at work.
They had preternatural speed and strength, and they clashed with the shadow creatures and the human army.
Affinities and blood based attacks clashed in cataclysmic proportions.
The attacks caused the moon to shake, and rippled through the void. The void trembled and shook. The attacks launched were very cataclysmic.
Kailen’s vice commander stood by his side.
Scared about what was happening.
"We are done for," he spoke, feeling helpless.
What was happening was mind boggling.
The vampire puppets were dominating and ending the summoned creatures of the Red Commander.
The numbers of the Red Commander’s creatures kept reducing.
The human soldiers were also being overpowered as a result of this. Many were slaughtered mercilessly.
Kailen observed calmly. The death of the human soldiers seemed like nothing to him.
His subordinate couldn’t help but charge recklessly into the battlefield on noticing this.
He just couldn’t take it anymore.
Why were they just standing around doing nothing when the human was being slaughtered mercilessly?
Even if they couldn’t fight back, were they supposed to disrespect the deaths of their comrades by being cowards, observing this massacre without doing anything?
Even if it would cost them their lives, they could not just stand by and do nothing.
Kailen didn’t care about him. He just kept observing everything with a calm expression.
In a moment, the vice commander, a rank 7 beginner stage galactic level lifeform, was drowned in the attacks, trying to play hero.
The human army too was being wiped out.
"What happened to our reinforcements?"
"What’s that commander doing?"
"He’s just watching us get slaughtered?"
"Fuck him sideways!"
Very soon, the human screams died down.
The field flowed endlessly with blood, and human corpses littered grotesquely everywhere.
All of them had died.
They had been killed.
The only one who remained at the moment was Kailen.
Ascorn had been observing everything with a satisfied expression.
It seemed the human had given up and was waiting for his death.
If he had not given up, why would he watch the entire human army be slaughtered and just watch it occur passively?
The human knew his fate was sealed, so he had stopped trying to fight aimlessly.
"Perhaps I should capture him. He looks pale skinned, blood will be delicious I suppose."
Ascorn observed the 500 elite vampire squad with him, who were not involved with the making of the vampire puppets.
The vampire puppets he had created by sacrificing the strength of his army had yielded tremendous results.
As they neared Kailen, he suddenly smiled.
"Come out, everyone."
The shadow creatures all appeared from the shadow expanse and surrounded the vampire puppets.
Before Ascorn and company could even process how the dead creatures could come back to life, Kailen used a teleportation rune to disappear away from the vicinity.
He commanded the shadow creatures to self detonate.
Booooooooooooooom
Cataclysmic sounds reverberated throughout the battlefield, as the shadow creatures self detonated alongside the blood puppets.
This caused a backlash to occur amongst the vampires, those whose lifeforce had been an extension of the vampire puppets.
These vampires fell lifelessly on the battlefield and died. They were extremely numerous.
Ascorn processed everything with frightened realization.
This bastard had set a trap for them.
He had sacrificed the human army for this moment.
He had realized the mechanisms of the vampire Puppetry. He saw through the weakness, and the backlash associated with the death of the vampire puppets.
He made them think he had surrendered by being passive.
He let the vampire puppets approach him because he was luring them into a trap.
He made it look like his summoned creatures had been truly killed earlier to give them a false sense of victory so that they drop their guard for the trap to work perfectly.
Then, at the right moment, the human commander summoned his obsidian army when the vampire puppets had all gathered together around him.
After that, he self-destructed his creatures and the vampire puppets, which triggered the effects of the death of the vampire puppets, leading to numerous vampire deaths across the battlefield.
Who the hell was this guy, and why has he not heard of him before?
Why was he even thinking of this at this point?
He had also received a backlash since he was the one to cast the skill.
His strength has dropped from the rank 3 intermediate stage galactic level to rank 7 beginner stage galactic level.
He didn’t know how strong the opponent was.
He had to flee.
"Retrea—"
He didn’t even finish speaking, when a tiny obsidian pin coated with a poison of Kailen, pierced directly through his external jugular veins.
Suddenly, he fell lifelessly on the ground and died.
The elite unit of 500 remaining vampires stared at the pale white skinned human, dressed in clothes that didn’t fit a battlefield—hoodie, jeans and sneakers—and calmly floating before them, in terror.
Could a human make vampires feel this level of fear?
Were humans not supposed to be their prey?
