Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 75: Do you not want me?

Audrey skeptically followed Alpha Lake inside the forests, her hand wrapped securely around his as he led her deeper into the forest.

"Watch it, Catherine," Alpha Lake said as he lifted a branch off the way for Audrey to pass.

Audrey had been lost in deep thoughts and wasn’t really paying attention to where they were going, not until now.

Alarm bells went off in her head as she saw him leading her to the same direction as her secret garden.

Has he found her out? Or had he discovered the secret garden with her status and wanted to ask her about it?

No! This isn’t how it should be, he wasn’t supposed to find out this way!

"Uh... Why-where... Oh!" Audrey breathed in relief as he led her past the two huge trees.

"What were you saying, Kitten?" Alpha Lake paused and turned to her.

"Um, was just asking when we’ll get there, my legs are starting to cramp-Ah!" Audrey screamed as she was suddenly swept off her feet, causing her to instinctively wrap her arms around his neck.

"Then, let me carry you all the way," Alpha Lake smirked down at Audrey.

"Put me down, I can walk perfectly. Hey! What are you doing?!" Audrey frowned at him as she felt his hand squeezing her ass.

"Shh, quiet Kitten, we’re almost there," He said, pretending not to know what Audrey was talking about. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Audrey was tempted to tighten the hand around his neck and strangle him to death. She sighed resignedly and decided to watch the trees above to kill time. But something else caught her attention, the ethereal beauty of the man who had her in his arms.

His clean-shaven jaw had an angle that could cut a diamond, his neck looked like it was sculpted by a Greek artist, his thin and kissable lips looked so sexy when he smirked, and his lashes were something even she was jealous of.

She never admitted it, but, she was always lost each time she gazed into his mysterious grey eyes.

"Quit staring and confess your love already," Alpha Lake teased her, wearing a sexy grin that set her heart racing.

Audrey scoffed," You wish."

Alpha Lake chuckled, "We’ll see."

Audrey bit her lips to stop herself from letting a moan slip through her lips when she felt the vibration of his chuckle and voice through his chest, it sent tingles traveling faster than lightning through her body and hitting straight to her clit.

Unconsciously, Audrey raised her hand to his jaw, slowly stroking it with her fingers.

Alpha Lake instantly stopped when he felt Audrey’s delicate fingers on his jaw.

He tightened his arm around her body and gazed down at her with a feral and heated look.

"We’re here," He said with a strained voice like he was trying to hold himself back from doing something he shouldn’t.

Audrey blinked back to reality as she felt herself being slowly lowered to the ground.

But as she stood, none of them made a move to step away from each other, Alpha Lake’s arms were still tightly wrapped around her waist, and her arms were also secured firmly around his neck.

Audrey looked up and found him gazing down at her with an unreadable expression on his face and eyes.

She could claim she couldn’t understand the expression on his face, but she definitely understood the meaning of the hard thing she felt poking between her thighs.

Audrey quickly removed her eyes from his and stepped away, but he drew her back and she was back in his arms in a matter of seconds.

"Do you not want me?" He asked in a raspy voice beside her ear.

He placed a tender kiss beside her neck, the hand holding her waist moved lower and grabbed her tender ass, squeezing and massaging it.

"I, I don’t," Audrey lied.

Alpha Lake smiled and looked down at her body.

She still had the sports bra she had used to fight in, he smirked as he saw the the outline of her nipples on her bra.

"You don’t, but your body does," He used his thumb to massage one of the pointed nipples, causing Audrey to bite her lips and clench her fists behind his neck.

"Don’t hold them back," He used his thumb to free her lip from between teeth, "I love hearing your moans. You won’t believe how much they turn me on," He whispered seductively.

Audrey closed her eyes as he continued to stimulate her nipple, "S- stop," She gently pushed against his chest but he didn’t budge.

"Um, where did you bring me?" Audrey asked, escaping his sultry questions and sneakily stepping away from him.

Audrey quickly put some distance between them and turned her back to him, but the image before her took her breath away.

The grass below her feet was soft and green before her was a beautiful view of water flowing from a huge inclined rock down to the clear stream with mossy rocks lined sparingly along the stream.

The sides of the stream were lined by a particular type of colorful trees, making the place look so calming and welcoming.

"Beautiful," Audrey whispered.

Alpha Lake smiled as he stared at Audrey’s impressed features.

"You like it?" He asked from behind her.

"It’s so cool," Audrey chuckled.

She genuinely liked the place, it wasn’t as enchanting as her secret garden but it was still a charming sight.

"We can come here often then," Alpha Lake held her hand and started walking along the bank.

"We?" Audrey asked, raising a brow at him.

He shrugged his shoulder and didn’t reply.

"You come here often?" Audrey asked again.

"Yes. Especially after my run. I come here for a natural bath and to relax," He replied, leading her to sit under an elevated branch.

"Sometimes I come here when I just want to unwind from all the stress. Alphas get stressed out too," He said with a quiet tone as he lowered himself beside her.

Audrey felt bad thinking there were times he used to come here to escape from all the stress of life.

People saw him as the mighty and feared Alpha, as someone who always solved all their problems, always ready to protect and fight for them. But there was no one there to solve his problem or protect and fight for him.

Thinking about it made her realize that he’s been living a lonely life, but she never noticed it before, especially when she hadn’t left the Pack, she always saw him as a complete devil because of the way he had treated her, even though his actions were not justified nor was he fully forgiven, at least she had come to know and understand him to an extent. And she knew that he needed all the love and affection he gave to others, especially his Pack members, even though they didn’t see or appreciate it.

"Have you come here to unwind... Since I came?" Audrey asked, picking up a beautiful red flower beside her leg.

"No," He replied simply.

"You keep me busy and inquisitive enough," He turned to her, looking her directly in the eyes.

Audrey furrowed her eyebrows as she stared at him.

"Inquisitive?" She asked with a frown even though she knew fully well what his inquisitiveness was about.

"Yes, Catherine. I’ve questioned my logic as an Alpha from the moment I set my eyes on you," He replied honestly.

He had decided to be open with her about all his thoughts about her, maybe she would see his sincerity and tell him the truth about herself.

"I see, because of that Audrey girl?" Audrey asked.

"Well, it’s part of it. Or, it’s actually the genesis of my confussion," He sighed.

"Okay, What are you inquisitive about?" Audrey asked, mentally preparing herself for the questions she knew would come from the day she set her foot back to the Grey Blood Pack.

"Will you answer honestly?" He asked seriously.

Audrey sighed and nodded.

She would try to be honest in the best way she can.

"What are you?" Alpha Lake braced his hand on top of the branch in the space between them and lowered his face to hers so he could read the expression on her face and find out if she was going to lie to him or not.

"Wow, that’s a very simple yet complicated question," Audrey chuckled lightly.

"Answer me, Catherine," Alpha Lake pressed on.

"Well, I’m Catherine, your human secretary and-"

"Let me rephrase the question, Catherine," He put his index finger below her chin and tilted her head up to look into her eyes.

"What kind of creature are you, Catherine?" He spoke slowly, clearly, and directly so she wouldn’t mind any word he said.
