Chapter 117: A Visit To Daddy

Death Claw pack...

Elena was furious; she had tried to convince Malachi not to contact Audrey anymore, but he had refused point blank. This was what she had been avoiding all her, it was finally happening, and she was not going to take it lightly.

She was walking angrily to her lair when she was suddenly stopped by her black raven.

"Kraa!" the raven cawed, landing on her shoulder.

"What happened, my dear? Did you find me the amulet?" Elena asked, stroking the bird’s head with her finger.

The raven cawed again, clicking its beak and shaking its head.

"Oh, you found them, I thought they were dead," Elena said ominously.

"What?! They serve her now?!" Elena was furious.

The witches she sent to attack her sister now serve her! This confirmed that she had indeed reincarnated with her powers, and the fact that she was able to drive the darkness out of their souls meant that she was still stronger than herself.

She needed to act fast, things were starting to spiral out of her control.

She entered her lair and saw the three girls sitting zoned out in the chair. She got more angry as she looked at the girls. She should have known they’d be good for nothing, their souls were too weak to contain the darkness.

Since the girls woke up after their initiation, they’ve been this way; quiet and unresponsive; she had to keep them and monitor them for a while; if they remained useless, she’d have to discard them rightly.

Her hands were already full; she couldn’t add a bunch of stupid girls to her problems.

She hissed as she walked past them and angrily arranged the bottles on top of her table.

"Catherine, you just wait; I’ll make you regret your reincarnation!" She said angrily.

"Mistress," Janeth suddenly whispered behind Elena.

Elena’s ears perked up as she heard one of the girls speak; she quickly turned and was surprised to find three of them on their feet, staring animatedly at her.

"Good, finally, I have the right puppets for you, dear sister," Elena smiled as she stared at the girls.

"Are you ready for your first mission as dark witches?" She asked them.

"Yes, mistress," They replied at the same time.

Elena chuckled, already imagining the joy she would feel if these girls proved their usefulness to her.

Grey Blood Pack...

Audrey and Alpha Lake were walking behind Andrew to meet the ex-dark witches when Audrey suddenly saw a Raven fly above them.

She paused and studied the raven, and indeed, the bird kept flying over and over their heads.

"What’s the problem? Saw something?" Alpha Lake asked, walking back to Audrey.

Andrew stood at a distance, patiently waiting for them.

"I think I should place a protective barrier around the borders," She said thoughtfully.

Alpha Lake followed her sight and looked up at the sky too, but he couldn’t see anything, just a few birds flying around.

"Why, do you think someone might intrude again?" Alpha Lake asked.

"They already did," Audrey stretched out her hand and a black Raven suddenly came and perched on it. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"A raven?" Alpha Lake asked, confused.

"Not just any raven. A dark witch’s messenger," Audrey said.

She closed her eyes and rubbed her fingers on the bird’s head, chuckling as she did.

Through the bird’s mind, she saw Elena speaking to the three girls she had sent to her; she couldn’t hear the words because it seemed the bird was seeing them from a tree branch if it was closer, she might have heard what she was asking them to do.

But, from the looks of things, the girls have been successfully converted to dark witches, and without being told, she knew she was ordering them to do something evil.

Audrey slowly opened her eyes and smiled, silently thanking her sister for the heads-up.

"Good birdie, unfortunately, she can’t see this memory from you," Audrey spoke softly to the bird and placed her other hand over it.

She enclosed the bird in her hands and lowered it to the ground.

"You’re free now," Audrey spoke and uncovered her hands.

Alpha Lake, who was quietly watching Audrey, widened his eyes as he saw her release a snail to the ground instead of a bird.

"What did you do?" Alpha Lake asked, staring at the snail as it crawled away from them.

"It’s Elena’s spy raven. She’s sending people to us soon. We have to be ready," Audrey informed.

"Won’t she suspect?" Alpha Lake asked, pointing at the snail.

"The only thing she would know is that her raven never returned. Think of it this way; the bird gets to live a slow and steady life for the first time, witnessing some peace and quiet. And it even got a shell to hide in when things get rough for it," Audrey chuckled at her words.

"True," Alpha Lake nodded, "Whatever my Luna decides," He said and held her hand in his.

Audrey chuckled and walked ahead.

As they reached the building where the rogues had been kept and trained, a girl walked out from it and waited for them to meet her.

"Alpha, Luna," She bowed to Alpha Lake and Audrey.

"You asked for me, what’s urgent?" Audrey questioned.

"It’s Elena, I need to tell you why she asked us to attack you," the girl said.

"What’s your name?" Alpha Lake asked.

"Camila, Alpha," Camila replied.

"I see, Camila, what did she ask you guys to do, I’m sure it’s not just to come and cause chaos," Audrey said.

Camila shook her head.

"She had asked us to retrieve the amulet for her," Camila said, pointing to the amulet around Audrey’s neck.

Audrey unconsciously raised her hand to her neck, holding her necklace, "That’s obvious, it’s always been her target," Audrey’s eyes looked like she was recalling some distant memories.

"A fortnight from now, she plans to attack this pack. I promise that we all shall stand by you and defeat her," Camila said, bowing her head.

"I see, I appreciate your willingness. But, I’m not going to force you into this if you just want to do it because you feel you owe me for liberating your souls from darkness," Audrey replied.

"No, we’re doing it because we want to. We’re grateful to you for giving us a pack and a home, and we will do everything possible to protect you and our new home; please, let us fight beside you," Camila spoke seriously.

Audrey and Alpha Lake shared a look and he nodded at her.

"Very well, Camila, prepare your people, you shall all engage in extensive training from now on, together with the pack warriors. We’ll be ready when they come," Audrey said, her voice firm.

"That’s not the only thing you wanted to tell her," Andrew suddenly spoke behind Audrey

Camila bit her lips and stared at Audrey, shifting, uncomfortable.

"What is it, Camila?" Alpha Lake asked with a frown.

He felt like he was about to hear something disturbing.

"Before we got converted by Elena, we were all kept inside a cage-like prison, but inside there, there was a short iron demarcation, we never knew who or what was there because we were all chained and couldn’t move," Camila spoke uncomfortably, she wasn’t fond of the memories she was recalling.

"Every day we saw Alpha Malachi go into the demarcated prison, and we would hear him, well...fucking the woman who occupied the other side," Camila said, looking away from Audrey.

Audrey frowned, not wanting to let the idea form in her head, "So? Why do think it’s necessary to tell me?" Audrey asked.

"Well, when she wanted to convert us, we were freed one after the other and were taken to a dark alter behind the cage-like prison, and when it reached my turn, I happened to see a glimpse of the woman, even though it was quite dark in there, but as a wolf, I managed to see the woman and take in her features," Camila raised her head and looked Audrey up and down.

"And?" Alpha Lake asked.

"When I met you, I realized that the woman’s features were very strikingly similar to yours. I don’t know if the information would be helpful to you, neither do I know if the woman is related to you in any way or not, but I just wanted to tell you because you looked so much like her," Camila finished with a bow.

Audrey clenched her fists angrily, she knew who Camila was talking about was no other person than her mother.

So that monster even went ahead to rape her mother every day.

She was going to make him beg for death, but death was going to be so far away from him.

"The woman you saw, is my mother," Audrey said in a low tone, her face set hard and determined.

"I’m really sorry, Luna. I never knew," Camila apologized.

Audrey shook her head, "No, it’s not your fault," She smiled.

She turned to Alpha Lake and said in a determined voice, "It’s time I pay Daddy a visit."
