Chapter 108: A Father, Niece & A sister

Audrey instantly felt her wolf becoming aggressive toward the man who had just interrupted them.

Alpha Lake felt her change of mood and tightened his hold around her waist.

"Uncle, I didn’t know you were coming," Lawrence said, a little bit flustered. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Sandra noticed it and wrapped her arm protectively around his.

"Yes, Lawrence, I have just arrived a few minutes ago," Malachi said and turned to Alpha Lake with a huge smile.

To everyone’s surprise, especially Audrey’s; she saw Malachi’s wolf flash dominantly across his eyes, and without being told, she immediately understood why her wolf was being extremely aggressive.

"No," She whispered and took a repulsive step away from him.

Alpha Lake frowned at Malachi as he sensed Audrey’s increasing discomfort, but no one knew that Audrey wasn’t the only one who was uncomfortable with Malachi’s presence.

"I appreciate your presence, Malachi, but you have to leave," Alpha Lake stood protectively in front of Audrey.

"I mean no harm, Alpha," Malachi said convincingly.

"I just want to take my children back with me," Malachi said, shocking everyone.

Audrey angrily clenched her fists beside her.

How could this be? A monster, her Father? How did this happen?

She was thrown off for a second, her brain running wild in every direction as she thought of the incident that would have led her mother to go and have an affair with the devil that was standing in front of her.

And, by saying Children? Did he mean there was another person amongst them who was his child, too?

"Children?" Alpha Lake’s voice was cold.

"Yes, Alpha, my two lovely daughters happen to have been hiding in your pack," Malachi said.

Sandra looked over at Maria, the two girls instantly having a bad feeling about who Malachi was referring to, they felt the once cozy atmosphere turn uneasy and foreboding.

"Audrey, is he my Father?" Maya slowly and quietly walked toward Audrey and hid behind her.

Audrey only held Maya’s hand highly in comfort.

"You’re daughters?" Alpha Lake walked dangerously close to him, his wolf now dominating his eyes and his Alpha King aura oozing out from his skin with every step he took.

"Yes, Alpha King, I believe the person you’ve introduced as your mate, and the girl behind her are my daughters," Malachi said, his head lowered in respect to the powerful Alpha standing before him.

Audrey’s friends gasped so loudly from the shock they got from such unbelievable shocking news.

"You dare to claim my mate as your child?" Alpha Lake’s voice was very even and calm, but his eyes carried a dangerous storm on them.

"He’s not lying, Alpha," Audrey suddenly came forward and stood directly in front of Malachi, Maya tagging behind her.

She wasn’t scared of him. She had just been shocked and disappointed that she had such an evil and foolish father. But she was about to make him understand that he had no rule over her.

He was as good as dead, just like she had originally thought her father was.

"My cubs, I’m happy to finally meet with you," Malachi said with a kind and warm smile.

If Audrey didn’t know him better or hadn’t seen his dirty dealings with Sulivan when she read Sulivans mind, she would have believed his fatherly love act. But she was fully aware of what his plans were with her sister.

"Andrew, take him away from here," Alpha Lake commanded.

He knew Malachi was a secret dirty mafia, and he didn’t want him anywhere near his mate.

He was a corny and sadistic man; he was ready to do anything to get what he wanted.

"No, wait," Audrey said to Andrew, who was about to walk toward Malachi.

"Are you sure?" Alpha Lake asked gently.

He could still sense her restless wolf, and he knew she was still uncomfortable around him.

"I’m harmless, and I’m willing to take you both back to your rightful pack. Come home with me," Malachi saw that Audrey was stopping them from sending him away and thought that she was happy about discovering him as his father and wanted to form a bond with him.

He was happy; he could sense something special from his two daughters, especially Audrey; he believed they’d be of great use to his underworld plans and with his plans of attacking and taking over the Grey Blood Pack.

He just needed to convince them to come with him.

"You’re Malachi?" Audrey asked calmly.

Malachi was a man who loved respect and reverence; hearing Audrey referring to him and just Malachi ticked him wrongly, but he masked his anger; he believed it was something he could correct later when they would finally be under his control.

"Yes," He raised his hand to touch Audrey’s cheek but she easily stepped away from him.

He heard someone chuckle mockingly beside him, and his control threatened to snap, but he didn’t let it snap; he had so much to lose by letting his anger get the best of him.

"Do not lay those filthy hands on me, Malachi," Audrey warned.

"Now, listen, and listen carefully," Audrey grabbed Maya’s hand and brought her out from behind her to stand beside her.

"I don’t want to know how this happened," Audrey waved her hand back and forth between her and Malachi.

"I just need to reassure you that you do not, and will never have any claim or rule over us. We do not accept you as our father; therefore, from now on, never cross our paths again; not even as a mistake. You’re as good as dead to us," Audrey said firmly.

"You heard them, old man," Alex said from beside Andrew.

"What are you going to do when he realizes that you’re a witch, you and your sister?" Malachi asked with a smug smile.

"Where will you go?" He smiles crookedly at her.

"I suggest you leave before I make you regret the day you left your bitchy mother’s womb," Audrey flashed her wolf threateningly across her eyes.

"An Alpha wolf," Malachi was awed, his eyes shining with greed and hateful intent.

"Andrew," Alpha Lake called.

"As you command, Alpha," Andrew replied and immediately went over to Malachi.

"No need for the violence, Beta, I’ll leave. But know this, Alpha, you can’t handle her; I sense a strong presence within her; only I can subdue that power," Malachi said and walked past Audrey.

His body touched hers and he passed by, causing Audrey to wince painfully and stagger.

"Are you alright?" Alpha Lake was quick to stand beside her and hold her up.

"He has my mother as a hostage," Audrey said, staring at Malachi’s retreating figure with absolute hatred and vengeance in her eyes.

"What?!" Maria asked loudly.

Alpha Lake felt how uncomfortable Audrey was getting with everything, so he decided to take her out for some fresh air to clear her head.

"Come," He said and held her arm. Leading her away from the group.

"You’re Audrey’s sister?" Sandra was bewildered.

"How?" Alex questioned, perturbed.

"I-I don’t know either," Maya replied, looking all perplexed.

"I didn’t want to say it, but since it’s gotten to this, I’ll tell you," Maria said, looking at their faces.

Sandra nodded her approval, already knowing what Maria was about to say.

"You’re not only Audrey’s sister...you’re her niece too," Maria said.

"What?" Maya asked, her cute face scrunching up in desperate confusion.

"What do you mean?" Stacy asked, wrapping her hand around Maya’s waist.

"Let’s go somewhere, I’ll explain everything," Maria said and led her friends out of the hall.

Alpha Lake and Audrey were walking through the beautiful park in front of the gym.

Audrey was quiet, thinking about everything she’d witnessed that evening.

Her eyes got distracted by the enchanting wired bulbs hanging around the trees and casting their warm light onto the soft grass.

"Hey," Alpha Lake drew her into his arms and hugged her tightly as they stood under a tree.

The soft wind kissed their warm skin, blowing their hair around in a romantic manner.

"I’m here to listen to you. Whenever you’re ready," Alpha Lake said gently, kissing the top of her head.

Audrey took a deep breath into her lungs, tightening her hands around him.

"My mother is living like an animal in the Death Claw Pack," Audrey sniffed.

"Hey, hey, don’t cry, come here," Alpha Lake led her to a cement-sculpted chair and lowered himself on it, gently placing Audrey on his lap.

"Everything’s going to be alright," Alpha Lake placed her head on his chest and softly patted her hair.

He was angry, but he wasn’t about to let his emotions show, he needed to be strong and stable for his mate. But, within him, he had already planned a way to kill Malachi, a slow and torturous death.

"All this while, I thought I was abandoned; I never knew she was somewhere, stripped of her freedom and living each day wishing for death," Audrey said, her voice more stable than before.

"Tell me, love, tell me what you want, and I’ll do it for you," Alpha Lake said, his voice strong with promise.

"Death. I want Malachi dead," Audrey said, her voice soaked in anger and revenge.
