Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 869: Sealing
Yu Holea stood by the window, the soft morning light shining on her face. She looked calm, but her heart was full of many emotions. She had just told Qiao Jun the big news: their daughter would be leaving soon, beginning her journey with her new guardian pet.
Qiao Jun was happy. He smiled brightly and held Yu Holea’s hand.
"This is great," he said. "With someone strong by her side, we don’t have to worry too much."
Yu Holea nodded slowly. But deep down, a strange feeling was starting to grow in her heart.
Before she could say anything more, a familiar voice echoed in her mind.
It was Zephyr, the spirit of the Talisman Pagoda.
"Yu Holea," Zephyr said, "now that you’ve made your choice... do you want to keep the pagoda, or pass it down to someone else?"
Yu Holea froze.
For the last four years, she had barely used the Talisman Pagoda. There were no more strong enemies in her world, and even the mysterious portals had closed. The power inside the pagoda had become too great; this world just didn’t need it anymore.
She took a deep breath and replied, "I’m ready. You can take it back."
For a moment, Zephyr was quiet. Then his voice came again, a little sad, but warm.
"You’ve made a good decision," he said softly. "You’ve done well, Yu Holea. I’ll help you part with this gift... but I’ll leave behind something special."
Yu Holea tilted her head, curious. "A gift?" she asked.
"Yes," Zephyr replied. "The next master of the pagoda will be someone related to you. And because of your years of hard work, the talismans have become even stronger. This time... the new master may be even more powerful than you."
Yu Holea smiled, her eyes shining. That meant someone she loved... someone in her family... would be safe and protected.
She was about to ask who it would be when she suddenly felt it... Zephyr’s presence was beginning to fade.
A strange feeling of loss filled her chest. Zephyr had been with her for so long. He wasn’t just a teacher; he was a friend.
But she didn’t cry.
She had always known this day would come.
Instead, she gently placed her hand over her heart and whispered, "Thank you... for everything."
She looked up and smiled, proud of the talismans she had made with her own hands. She was glad she had taught them to Zephyr, too; maybe they would help someone else now.
Just then, Qiao Jun’s crystal communicator buzzed.
He looked at the screen and laughed. "Yue just sent me a message," he said. "He found a creature that can stay with our daughter!"
Yu Holea’s eyes lit up. She knew Qiao Jun was talking about Yue, his loyal spiritual pet, a silver-white fox who had gone on many missions around different realms. Yue was clever, brave, and full of experience. With him around, their daughter would be in safe hands.
She nodded with a small smile. "That’s good."
Suddenly, the air shimmered, and a figure appeared in front of them.
But... it wasn’t Yue.
Instead of the white fox she expected, a black crow flew into the room and landed gracefully on the floor.
Yu Holea blinked, confused. She didn’t recognize it. Still, she bowed her head politely.
But the crow hopped forward, flapped its wings, and spoke in a raspy voice:
"Hello, Madam."
Yu Holea froze.
That voice...
She stared at the crow. "W-Who are you?"
The crow let out a strange sound, maybe a laugh? It looked strange, even a little creepy, with its dark feathers and beady eyes.
"I’m Yue," the crow said proudly.
Yu Holea took a step back, stunned. "That’s impossible. Yue is a white fox, not a crow!"
The crow puffed up its feathers and said, "I know. But this form helps me save energy. My missions have tired me out. It’s... ugly, I know, but I promise I’m still Yue."
Yu Holea stared for a moment, then slowly nodded.
Her heart softened.
Even though Yue now looked different, she could still feel the old kindness in his voice. She smiled gently. "Thank you, Yue. I... I will repay this favor someday."
But Yue shook his head. "No, Madam. I owe you. If it wasn’t for you, Qiao Jun wouldn’t have lived. If Qiao Jun hadn’t lived... I would’ve died too."
He paused, then added, "Your child is like my master too. I will protect her with my life."
Yu Holea’s eyes filled with tears. She quickly turned away.
Her heart ached.
Her daughter... her little girl... was leaving.
She would grow up far away, in another world.
Just then, she felt a warm presence behind her.
She turned and saw Qiao Jun standing there... along with her master, who had just arrived.
They said nothing at first, but their eyes met.
And in that silence, Yu Holea found peace.
For the next few days, Yu Holea and Qiao Jun made sure to spend as much time as they could with Qiao Yun and Qiao Zhen.
They took the kids to fun places, told them stories every night, and stayed close, especially to Qiao Yun. She was going to leave soon, and they wanted her heart to be full of happy memories.
Qiao Zhen, their five-year-old son, was a quiet boy. He didn’t say much, but he always stayed close to his sister.
He noticed when she was sad, and he would gently hold her hand or offer her a small toy. Even though he was small, he understood that something was happening.
His sister was hurting, and that made him want to be there for her all the time.
Qiao Yun, on the other hand, acted strong. She didn’t show many feelings.
Even when they all went to the amusement park, she just nodded and walked quietly beside them. But something changed once they got inside.
The music, the cheerful screams, the bright lights, and the rides started to pull her in.
They went on the merry-go-round first. Qiao Zhen laughed loudly, holding onto the horse.
Qiao Yun didn’t smile, but she didn’t frown either. Then they went on the spinning cups. Qiao Jun spun it fast, and suddenly Qiao Yun let out a small laugh. Yu Holea turned sharply, surprised.
Qiao Yun was laughing.
A real laugh. Light, short, but real.
Yu Holea felt her heart warm up. She looked at Qiao Jun, and he looked at her. They both smiled. It had been so long since they had seen their daughter truly smile.
By the time they finished riding the Ferris wheel, Qiao Yun was even giggling. Her eyes sparkled, and her steps were lighter.
Yu Holea held her hand and asked, "Do you want some candyfloss?"
Qiao Yun paused and looked up at her mom. She blinked and said softly, "I like the candyfloss you make better."
Yu Holea laughed. "Of course! Who said I’m going to buy it from outside? I’ll make it myself."
Qiao Yun smiled sweetly and nodded. "Mama is the best."
Yu Holea felt her chest tighten, but this time it was from joy. She ruffled her daughter’s hair and motioned for Qiao Jun to follow her. They spent a little more time playing, then returned to Qiao Mansion.
Mrs. Qiao and Mr. Qiao, now sixty years old, were waiting for them with open arms. The children ran to their grandparents while Yu Holea went into the kitchen.
She cooked several dishes and brought them to the dining table. Everyone sat down and began to eat.
Qiao Yun took a bite and sighed happily. "I love Mama’s cooking."
Then she added, almost in a whisper, "I want to learn how to cook too..."
Yu Holea froze for a moment. Her hand holding the chopsticks trembled a little. Then she smiled and reached out to pat Qiao Yun’s head. "I’ll teach you," she said with a soft voice.
That night, after everyone had gone to bed, Yu Holea and Qiao Yun were curled up together under a soft blanket. Yu Holea gently cuddled her daughter, breathing in her soft scent.
Suddenly, she whispered, "I want to spend one more year with you."
Qiao Jun, who was also in the room, looked up, confused. "But... she was supposed to leave soon, right?"
Yu Holea turned to him and said gently,
"I want to teach her more. Cooking, drawing, talisman crafting, and even mystic powers. I want her to remember everything I teach her. I don’t want her to feel lost when she leaves. I will seal it so that she doesn’t lose those memories."
Qiao Jun stayed silent for a moment, then slowly nodded. His gaze softened. "Then I’ll help too. I’ll teach her some of my knowledge. And I’ll do the same for our son."
Yu Holea smiled and nodded.
From that day on, their small family lived happily. Each day was spent learning, playing, and making memories.
Qiao Yun learned to cook simple meals, mix colors for painting, and even carve small talismans.
