Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 735: Haunting
Chapter 735: Chapter 735: Haunting
Xu Tian shifted, trying to get comfortable. Just as he was about to fall asleep—
He felt it. The air changed. The room felt... smaller. Like the walls were closing in.
His eyes snapped open. The wooden ceiling above him seemed lower than before.
His heart pounded. Then—
Something cold wrapped around his neck. A hand. A hand that wasn’t his.
Xu Tian gasped, trying to sit up, but the grip tightened. His breath hitched, and his chest burned.
He struggled, kicking his legs, but he couldn’t see who was choking him.
Then, in the corner of the room—
A shadow moved. It wasn’t just a shadow. It had a face. A wide, twisted smile. Dark, hollow eyes. It was watching him. Enjoying his struggle.
Xu Tian’s fingers clawed at his own neck, but there was nothing there. No real hands. No real body.
Just pressure. Like invisible fingers squeezing the life out of him.
His vision blurred. His heartbeat slowed.
Just when he thought he would pass out—
The pressure vanished.
Xu Tian gasped, rolling to the side, and coughing hard.
His body was drenched in cold sweat. His hands trembled as he touched his neck.
Nothing. No marks. No bruises. But the feeling... it was real. He looked at the corner again.
The shadow was gone. The room looked the same as before as if nothing had happened.
"Did I just have a dream?" He muttered in uncertainty.

Meanwhile, Yu Holea had laid on the bed and closed her eyes when she felt a warm hand around her waist.
A small smile appeared on Yu Holea’s face, as she heard Qiao Jun’s familiar voice,
"Wifey, why is your name linked with that stupid newbie when I am your husband?"
Yu Holea turned to the side where Qiao Jun was lying. His dark eyes stared at her with a playful glint, his lips curved into a slight pout.
"You’re jealous?" she teased, resting her head on her hand.
Qiao Jun pulled her closer, his arm tightening around her waist. "Of course. The whole live chat was talking about you and that newbie."
Yu Holea chuckled. "It’s just a show. You know that, right?"
"But I don’t like it." Qiao Jun buried his face in her neck, his warm breath tickling her skin. "You’re mine."
She sighed helplessly. "CEO Qiao, are you really so free that you have time to watch live comments?"
"I only watch when it involves my wife." He lifted his head and looked at her. "Tell me, did that guy do anything inappropriate?"
Yu Holea rolled her eyes. "Xu Tian isn’t like that. He barely talks."
"Hmph." Qiao Jun’s grip on her tightened. "Even if he’s quiet, I don’t like him being close to you."
"You’re being unreasonable," Yu Holea said, amused.
"I’m your husband. I have the right to be unreasonable."
She shook her head but didn’t argue further. Instead, she nestled into his chest, feeling his warmth.
"Alright, alright. My dear husband, don’t be jealous. You’re the only one I see."
Qiao Jun seemed satisfied with that answer, as he hummed in contentment and kissed her forehead.
Yu Holea let out a small sigh.
After a while, she fell asleep and Qiao Jun turned invisible so that even if the program team entered, Yu Holea wouldn’t get caught in any scandal.

Meanwhile, a figure sneaked out of one of the houses and made its way to a jungle. Once reaching there, the figure waited for someone.
Two men soon arrived at that location. The figure handed them money and asked,
"Do you both remember what you have to do?"
The two men nodded their heads vigorously. One of them had a scar on his face with a tall build, while the other one looked scrawny.
"Good, now go before anyone spots you both." The figure said before retreating to the house.

Qiao Li reached the location and saw a beautiful villa. The villa was of blue and white color, and right in front of it was a fountain.
There was green grass around the villa, and a stone path leading toward the entrance of the villa.
Qiao Li followed the path and since there was no guard, she easily reached the door. After taking a deep breath, she pressed the doorbell button.
It took a little while but the door was swung open. A young man with silver hair appeared in Qiao Li’s view.
Qiao Li was instantly excited and rushed to hug him,
"Brother Lin!"
Ou Lin on the other hand froze, he watched as Qiao Li like a koala wrapped herself around him.
"Brother Lin I missed you so much! I have been trying to find you for such a long time and finally, after so much searching, I found you. Brother Lin, why are you avoiding me?"
Ou Lin as if coming to his senses pushed Qiao Li away and said coldly,
"Leave."
Qiao Li stumbled back, blinking in shock. "Brother Lin...?" Her voice wavered as she looked up at him.
Ou Lin’s silver hair gleamed under the soft porch light, his expression as cold as ice. There was no trace of warmth in his dark eyes.
"I said, leave," he repeated, his voice void of emotion.
Qiao Li clenched her fists.
"No! I won’t! Not until you tell me why you disappeared! Why did you cut off all contact with me!"
Ou Lin’s jaw tightened. "There’s nothing to say."
"That’s a lie!" Qiao Li snapped. "I know you, Brother Lin! You wouldn’t just abandon me like that! Is it because you have become bankrupt-"
"Enough!" Ou Lin’s voice was sharp, cutting through the night air like a blade.
Qiao Li flinched but refused to back down.
Ou Lin took a step forward, his towering figure looming over her.
"Go back to where you came from, Qiao Li. Don’t look for me again."
Her breath hitched. "Brother Lin... do you hate me?"
Ou Lin’s fingers curled into fists at his sides. He turned his face away. "It doesn’t matter."
Qiao Li felt her chest tighten, a lump forming in her throat. "It matters to me!" she shouted. "You are brother Lin...the one I admired and want to marry. How can you just-" change.
"Because I’m not the person you knew anymore," Ou Lin interrupted. His voice was lower now, almost pained, but he quickly masked it.
"The past is gone, Qiao Li. Accept it and move on."
Qiao Li’s eyes burned with unshed tears.
"No. I won’t accept it. You promised! You promised to marry me in childhood! Then suddenly you changed and stopped talking to me. Not to mention... even when your family went bankrupt you didn’t ask for help from me. Why? I am your future wife..."
"You aren’t." Ou Lin said before looking at Qiao Li with a calm expression, "I like someone else."
Qiao Li as if her heart was shattering, took a step back, disbelief washing over her face.
"You... like someone else?" Her voice was barely a whisper, her fingers trembling as they curled into fists.
Ou Lin nodded, his expression unreadable. "Yes."
Qiao Li’s lips parted, but no words came out.
For years, she had believed—no, known—that she was the only one for him. That no matter what happened, their childhood promise would hold true.
And yet, here he was, telling her it was all meaningless.
She forced a shaky breath. "Who is she?"
Ou Lin remained silent.
Qiao Li’s nails dug into her palms. "Brother Lin, you’re lying." Her voice wavered, but her determination burned bright.
"You would never fall for someone else. This isn’t you."
"You don’t know me anymore, Qiao Li," Ou Lin said, his voice steady. "The boy you remember is gone."
Qiao Li shook her head.
"No. I refuse to believe that. I—" She stopped, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Then, her eyes darkened.
"Fine. If you like someone else, tell me her name."
"Her name is Jiang Pei." Ou Lin said. "She is an actress. After your family moved out, she and I became friends, and from then on I started to like her."
"No! No!" Qiao Li shook her head in disbelief.
"You weren’t with her just 4 years ago, not to mention I kept on sending letters to your address all these years, though you didn’t reply you must have read, right?"
Ou Lin’s gaze remained indifferent as if her words meant nothing.
"I never received those letters."
"You’re lying!" Qiao Li’s voice trembled with frustration.
"I sent them! Again and again! But you ignored me, didn’t you?"
Ou Lin exhaled, his eyes darkening.
"It doesn’t matter now, Qiao Li. I have moved on. You should too."
Qiao Li clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms.
"No! You can’t just push me away like this!" Her breathing was uneven, her emotions spiraling out of control.
"I loved you, Brother Lin! I still love you!"
"You don’t love me," Ou Lin said, his tone distant. "You love the memory of a boy who no longer exists."
Qiao Li froze. The words struck her harder than she expected.
