Getting a Technology System in Modern Day-Chapter 1039: The FINAL FIGHT III
Aron immediately moved from his location without wasting a single second, the moment he sensed spatial instability, as it was one of the only few attacks that could actually go through his shield.
But the spatial fractures were just the after-effects of a complete attack from the Grand Xor’Vak, who had used the stellar storms in space and forced the magnetic lines in them to cross and short-circuit, releasing a burst of energy equivalent to millions of hydrogen bombs.
At the same time, he had also compressed the stellar wind into a razor-thin blade of high-pressure plasma, creating a shock front that missed Aron, who moved from his location very fast, and went on to hit the dwarf planet. The pressure difference was so extreme that it created a supersonic boom in the plasma, creating a visible ripple on the stellar medium that looked like a crack in glass as it physically shattered the material structure of the dwarf planet.
The joint effects from the two attacks created a thermal pressure gradient so intense that it created spatial instability by flash-heating a pocket of space and instantly expanding the surrounding pressure, creating a local vacuum collapse that led to the spatial fractures.
The after-effects were very fast; the moment it took for the spatial blade to miss him and for the spatial cracks to appear was less than a tenth of a second. But the dwarf planet itself had neither the time nor the ability to avoid it. It compressed for a moment before it blew outward in all directions, failing to handle all of the abuse it had been inflicted with and carrying massive amounts of energy.
The Grand Xor’Vak redirected all of the chunks heading in Aron’s direction, bombarding him and trying to crush him using their momentum. At the same time, Aron was pushed very far away, making it obvious that his opponent was planning to push him outside the designated boundary of the fight, where anyone who is pushed past it would automatically count as a loss.
It was put in place to avoid someone on the verge of losing from just bolting away and running for days, if not weeks or months. The boundary was slowly shrinking with each passing second, but due to it starting with a million-kilometer radius, it was going to take a very long time for Aron to be pushed up to it. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
“If you don’t do anything, you are going to lose without even initiating a single attack. So are you going to keep taking it easy?” the Grand Xor’Vak spoke using mana at Aron, who was still being pushed and bombarded by the chunks and remnants of the planet.
..........................
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. Where the heck did spatial attacks come from?” Aron asked himself as he wondered where they came from.
He had had combat simulations with Seraphina, who was now more than ten times the strength she had when she joined the empire, and had even gone further to have Nova create a Seraphina who was still ten times stronger than even that. But even at that level, that Seraphina had no attack that could induce spatial cracks and fractures.
It was that which had given him the confidence to be able to face his opponent without much risk to his life, despite looking out for other possible ways that might cause him harm.
It meant that the Grand Xor’Vak was stronger than they had imagined him to be, to the point where anyone who looked at their estimation would say they were exaggerating. But it seemed like they were still far from the actual level the Grand Xor’Vak was at.
“Okay, we better go all out, or we risk actually dying,” Aron, who was planning on learning everything from the Grand Xor’Vak to benchmark himself, threw all of that out of the window to now go all out.
Immediately, a shield in its passive mode was created before it was expanded to kilometers in radius. It then stopped growing and immediately turned active, blocking both the entry and exit of the objects before it started changing shape into a very small cylindrical cannon ten meters in diameter, making it thousands of kilometers long but only ten meters wide, fitting all of the stones, magma, lava, and all other materials that were thrown in his direction inside the cylinder.
If the cylinder was highlighted, the last quarter away from where the dwarf planet was looked completely empty, but that was only for a moment as a rune appeared and instantly activated, creating a massive explosion that filled the entire empty portion of the cylinder. The explosion didn’t leave, as it was a sealed part, leading to the explosion going back and forth within the same area, building pressure with each round.
Aron allowed it to build pressure for an entire second before he turned off the part blocking the pressure from the part of the cylinder with the stones and him, immediately sending everything inside it outward like a cannon toward where the Grand Xor’Vak was, making it look like a cannon had just been fired.
Aron, who was among the fired projectiles, was fully focused on the rune he was creating while traveling, using the debris as a cover to hide his real location. He knew none of the things fired with him were going to do any harm, using them and the chaos created when they were fired to activate the invisibility rune that hid everything about him and made him stealthier the more mana he inputted into it.
..............................
“Where are you?” the Grand Xor’Vak, who was now floating where the dwarf planet used to be, asked in a low voice, verbalizing his thoughts as he focused on trying to find where Aron was. At the same time, he was exuding his mana, having it ready for immediate use the moment he discovered where he was among the rapidly approaching debris.
“It doesn’t matter since you are still inside the debris field,” he said when the chaos inside the approaching debris made it impossible for him to detect his opponent. He decided to obliterate all of it as he raised both his hands, making it clear that he was intent on repeating the attack that had destroyed the dwarf planet, but this time with both hands.
Hmph, he grunted as he started dropping his hands.
