Game World's Awakening-Chapter 141: Blind
Chapter 141: Blind
The world went black, and his body trembled at the lack of vision on a battlefield like this.
That could be symbolic of his death.
It was not impossible to die in this place, because both his body and soul were here. In the other world, only a vestige of his soul connected him to his original place.
But most of it was in this place.
If he died, there was no going back.
The problem was that he couldn’t tell if he was about to die because he couldn’t see anything.
He couldn’t move anywhere. At the front, there were people, and at the back, there were probably people, too.
On the sides, it was 100% sure that there would be people trying to kill him.
But in the face of this sudden loss of vision, Elliot did not lose self-control. He did not even know if he would be able to see again, but at least he knew that he had to stay alive under all circumstances. So he remained composed and tried to perceive the changes in the environment, quickly adapting to the situation and showing that he could do so.
At the same time, he looked through his summons. If he lost his vision, he still had that of his summons. Whatever happened, he would not be unaware of what was coming for him.
Luckily...
He was fine. His five real summonings, the most powerful, surrounded him to protect him. They all looked concerned about what had happened.
Therefore, Elliot allowed himself to sigh.
’Anyway, my body is currently useless. I can still make it like this.’ He thought.
He did not allow fear to take hold of him. His eyes hurt terribly and were still bleeding. He had totally lost his vision and didn’t understand why, but he guessed that much of both eyes were damaged after that energy blast.
But he was still able to start leading his summons. He carefully chose the right ones and ordered them into a full onslaught to the front. The five that protected him were the leaders among them, so it became very easy for him to lead them.
Gradually, he could see that they were thwarting the surprise attack. He also began to become more skilled at using this ability to see through them, which was a pleasant surprise.
After 6 hours of continuous fighting, he could finally slay the last of them. Thanks to his good leadership, none of them escaped.
He wasted no time and sat down to do his summons, as if nothing was happening.
But the reality was that he could not see. Therefore, he had to use only the senses and vision of the rest of his summons to create them.
This caused imperfections to appear in his summons. He even created some without a leg or a hand, which was very problematic.
Because of this, he lost over 100 summons that could be created and could only make 300.
Numerous hours passed until he finished.
Once he did, he began to walk among his summons, looking at them through the eyes of his Warrior, the tallest of the group.
He was able to get an advantageous view of the entire group.
"They have many wounds." He said, as he looked at a specific group. They were replete with wounds, to the point that if they didn’t go back inside to recover, they would soon die.
But no summoning could get back inside him, so he frowned.
"I have so much energy, shouldn’t they heal? Since inside me they do..."
As he thought about it, he suddenly saw that his energy rose above those summons and surrounded them. In a matter of 30 seconds, all the wounds on them disappeared. The energy completely healed them before his eyes, as if they did exactly what he wanted.
’Oh?’ His mind lit up with amazement and interest.
He hadn’t known something like this could be done.
"Is it because of the large amount of energy I have here, or is it possible even in the real world?"
He thought he should try it when he got back. So he continued to look at his summonings and tried several more times that strange ’healing’. It could heal all kinds of wounds, no matter how bad.
Unfortunately, he could not notice how much energy he was using, as it did not seem to be used, although the reality was that it was being used. The problem was that he had so much energy that when it was used, it was automatically replenished.
Thanks to that, he was able to easily heal his summons, which allowed him to continue the onslaught. However, mentally exhausted and with the problem in his eyes, he decided to take a few hours to formulate the plan in his mind.
He got information from the surroundings during that time, thanks to the summonings he sent to different places.
He realized that chaos was rising in the city. Many were discussing it, while the military seemed on high alert.
The one attacking them was inside the city and had a large army!
They did not have the slightest idea how such a thing was possible. They could not understand how someone with a tremendous army behind him could have infiltrated the city.
What were the guards at the city gates doing? Swallowing flies?
That’s why the city was in chaos, and people doubted everyone who approached them, so the chaos was terrible. Still, none of that stopped the perversity of this place from being rampant, increasing Elliot’s need to destroy it.
Thus, after an unknown number of hours, from the north and the northwest, a great skirmish arose. In the northwest, there was a large number of people killing people and destroying buildings, while from the north, one of the military centers of the city was attacked by total surprise.
The last time they had been attacked, when they lost 500 men without knowing the whereabouts of their bodies, was in the south. What they least expected was to be attacked from the north.
Therefore, they were taken by surprise, which caused the military center to be destroyed in a few hours.
Thanks to that, they could advance quickly towards the city’s center, and soon those attacking from the northwest and those attacking from the north met, advancing as a large group.
They numbered more than 1,500 in all.
They soon encountered an estimated 3,500 military troops coming from three different sides: the East, the South, and the Downtown.
Both large groups faced each other, but initially did not attack each other. There was a terrible tension in the atmosphere.
This terrible scene occurred on a starless night, with many clouds and lightning strikes in the distance. Water was falling like a torrential downpour, creating a terrifying scene, and where blood would soon be left in pools of water.
Neither group spoke to the other. The city’s military simply wanted to slit their enemies’ throats alive, so...
When lightning struck the ground inside the city and created a thunderous sound, they rushed out to confront their enemies.
The sound of swords and spears echoed through the city, but the sound of the rain dulled it, giving the impression that nothing was happening.
But the blood soon began to fall and fall...
People began to fall.
After more than 4 hours of continuous fighting, the leader of the 3,500 military men, who were now far fewer in number, took a deep breath.
"Hey." He spoke. "What the hell are these things we’re fighting?" he asked at one of his subordinates.
They were both shaking with fear.
Although they managed to get rid of many of them, they were nowhere near eliminating them.
Even though they had to fight several at once, many didn’t die!
They didn’t even bleed!
That’s why he was terrified.
The man he asked was a magician.
"...Sir, I think we’re up against a summoner. And they must be his summoners." He replied.
The leader looked at him in shock. "A summoner? With over 1,500 summonings?"
"..." Who had said it like that, he couldn’t answer.
1,500 summonings...
It was a ridiculous number. Even just thinking about it didn’t seem real.
But...
"That’s the only thing I can think of, sir. They don’t look like humans, even though they look like one."
"Shit... And where does it come from? The kingdom? The empire? Or maybe the theocracy?"
"No..." He shook his head. "I’m sure not from the first two. Maybe from the theocracy, but I haven’t heard of them having a summoner that strong. The most powerful summoner they have there could summon up to 100 maximum summons."
"So?"
"..." He was silent for a few seconds. "Maybe... it comes from beyond."
"From beyond?" The leader was startled at what that might mean, but his companion smiled.
"I don’t mean death." He said, though really even that he couldn’t rule out in the face of this situation. "I mean what lies in those desolate and unknown lands beyond the great mountainous area."
"You..." The leader was upset, but quickly calmed down and clenched his sword in fear. "You mean the Land of the Dead..." he trembled.
But the battle in front of him was unfolding the more he spoke. His mind was shrouded in darkness and fear, which prevented him from seeing that behind them...
A smile had blossomed from the top of a building, and another army of 2,000 troops was heading his way.
"Hehe. So, destroying a city looks like this." Elliot said. "Too bad I can’t see it with my eyes."
