Chapter 140: God’s Trial (2)

A while later, a large group of more than 80 people appeared near the small sentry building.

"I will go and check. Anything, attack with all your might to destroy them."

"Be careful, leader."

One of them, who had spoken to Elliot earlier, stepped forward carefully. Arriving in front of the door, he did not hesitate to break it with a kick.

The door flew all the way in and crashed into the tables, meeting no opposition.

In time, he summoned his sword and attacked, but then...

"No one?"

The people behind him quickly stepped forward to see what was happening.

"No one?"

"Did they escape?"

"Shit, it was as we suspected."

"But are they running away or...?" One of them formed a question, which seemed almost to answer itself.

At that moment, destruction and burning came from the distance. Someone then saw smoke rising from one of the points of control overlooking the city.

"It’s burning south!"

One quickly pulled out a device to see into the distance and ascertain what was happening.

He then exclaimed, "From the southwest to the southeast, three command centers are burned!"

The garrison leaders immediately realized that something bad was happening.

"Could it be the same guys who were here? What the hell are those guys planning?" One of them stepped forward with his spear.

"I’ll go stop them myself. All my men are coming with me. Old Lin, come with me. The rest of you go protect your command centers and don’t alert the city on this."

After he finished speaking, he took off running in the direction of the southeast, the last view from here. It was to be the last one attacked.

Everyone began to do as he had told them.

In that way, a large group of people began to run after the flames that were burning furiously.

But they could not catch up with the cause of it.

Elliot frowned, looking at all his summons.

He had 35 now. Controlling them was very difficult, especially when they were moving away from him. It seemed his mind was splitting into many parts.

This was somehow strengthening his mind, as he was being forced to do this inevitably, but it was very troublesome.

Still, he liked that he was getting better at creating summonings and managing energy, so he was getting more and more excited.

"Since there are 35 of us, I think we can kill your companions. They’ve been looking for us for quite a few hours, and I have to eliminate them before I go deep into the city." He smiled.

An otherworldly massacre was about to unfold.

-

After more than 12 hours of continuous fighting, Elliot rested on some rocks.

He wasn’t exhausted physically, but mentally, he was. It was exhausting to do so much in such a short time, but the smoke billowing from all the command centers lining the city made him happy.

They were all dead. Leaders and subordinates alike.

Thanks to that, he now had 85 troops. There were over 100 before, but some were unsuitable for summoning creation, so he had to settle for 85, which was already a staggering number.

’Now that I have control of the outer zone, no one from inside seems to be coming. No one has noticed. As expected from a garbage city. You attack them and they still feast on their barbarities.’ Elliot looked at the city with a menacing look.

"Don’t worry. Soon you’ll all be dead." He smiled and stood up.

"Time to go destroy a city, my little ones. Five of you will stay in each main command area, so run north, south, east, and west. Give me information on everything that might come in... I don’t know where I am, after all." After saying that, he went in.

His summons could understand him perfectly, and 20 of the fastest summons separated from the group.

Then, he walked deeper into the city.

To avoid suspicion, he dressed his summons in the robes of the guys he had killed and made them wear masks. But...

The security inside the city... was pitiful.

’For 5,000 military personnel, this is a disgrace. I walked in and wasn’t even questioned why so many people were behind me. I’m pretty sure nobody saw me.’

They were all in their depraved worlds. Talking about barbarities.

Thanks to that, he could get inside and hide in some abandoned houses he found around the outside area.

There, he took out a map he had stolen from those he had killed earlier and began to study it.

This city has five military barracks and more than 150,000 inhabitants.

Each military barracks has 1,000 officers. To attack them head-on would be suicide with their current strength.

’This is why they let me create summons freely. To use against these military men.’ He thought.

’That being the case, I should isolate an area of the small town... Where I am, I think there are over a thousand inhabitants, and it’s the poorest area. I think it might work.’

He looked out the window. The needs people were going through here, it didn’t stop them from being bastards and scumbags.

Therefore, he did not pity them. He left the house and used his summons to isolate this place from the rest of the city.

Then he sent the rest of his summons to slaughter many weird people.

They weren’t strong people. Most of them weren’t even awakened, but they all died.

More than 1,000.

In 3 hours.

With such great effectiveness, Elliot began summoning all those bodies. Here, he learned something surprising.

Well, two surprising things.

First, in this world, thanks to his infinite energy, he didn’t need people to be awakened for them to have power by becoming invocations.

Although they were not as powerful as those that were created from awakened dead, still, over 800 of his summons created in the next 6 hours had decent strength. A little weaker than those made from awakened ones, but they had over 15 points in strength, though he didn’t know the exact amount.

That was a good thing that would accelerate his victory.

The second thing he learned was something that would serve him forever.

He closed his eyes, standing on a rock, waiting for his invocations to end the massacre and also waiting for the military that would surely come.

After closing them, numerous visions appeared in his mind, from which he could choose one and focus on it. Each of these visions represented an invocation. And what he could see was what the invocation was seeing at this moment.

He could even control them and make them do what he wanted.

’This is amazing. So there were such impressive tricks hidden in my Class.’ Perhaps he wouldn’t have discovered it any other way, outside of these tests.

But having discovered it, he set out to use it extensively and learn to control it, for it would surely be of great use to him in the future.

After exterminating the entire area, Elliot got nearly 1,000 troops.

"Not bad. This will surely attract attention..." Before he could finish speaking, suddenly, from the rooftops of the houses at a distance, an army of over 500 people appeared without warning.

"Kill this bastard!"

"He is an infiltrator who came with many numbers to exterminate our Holy City!"

"Don’t even leave the pulp!"

Among those 500, one stood out astonishingly and arrived in front of Elliot before he could move.

’Shit.’ Elliot was startled. He knew his speed wasn’t good. Dodging was impossible.

’My summons...’ He tried to reach his nearest summon but was too far away to intervene in the attack. It was already moving, but it couldn’t get there in time.

Elliot suddenly felt a sword reach for him, striking him between the chest and stomach. He was pushed back and hit a nearby wall.

Blood poured from his chest, and the system sent him several warning messages, telling him he was in danger.

But he was not disoriented. He immediately got up as quickly as he could and looked straight ahead. The same man who attacked him was about to lunge at him.

He fiercely widened his gaze to the front, trying to bring one of his summons to him as quickly as possible, but unable to summon them into him, he could not do so.

Even so, something strange seemed to blossom in his eyes. The energy around him seemed to concentrate strangely in his eyes. For a brief moment, he saw everything very slowly, and suddenly, an explosion between his eyes pushed him back.

He was stunned at this.

’An explosion?’ He felt he remembered something.

Some time ago, when he was fighting those goblins, he remembered hitting with energy in a desperate moment, which seemed to have created an explosion towards the front. He thought it was his power, but now that it formed in his eyes... ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

Perhaps it was an ability he could use?

But he didn’t have time to know. His mind was filled with pain, as his eyes began to bleed.

He opened his eyes and began to see the world red. He was bleeding from his eyes.

To his luck, that explosion had taken him away from the lunge, and he had enough time for his summons to arrive and ram that bastard attacking him.

To his bad luck... he felt like his eyes would explode. And suddenly... everything before his sight went dark.
