Game World's Awakening-Chapter 139: God’s Trial
Chapter 139: God’s Trial
He stood stunned, staring at the writing on the floor. They were a bit clumsy, but he could make out very well what they meant.
They were asking him to trust them. And the proud, extremely expressive look they gave him made him shudder.
’Can they communicate?’
He had never heard of a summoner who could communicate in their language with the summonings. Somehow, there are almost always ways to communicate.
Gestures, the fact that they understood his commands, and so on, are forms of communication.
But for them to openly express such emotional things to him? fгeewёbnoѵel_cσm
’The Mage could do it...’ He thought. He was the one who wrote on the ground, but he wasn’t the one who did it on his own. His other invocations had to urge him to do it.
’...It’s for the Sense.’ He thought.
It was the only thing he could think of.
Among his summons, the ’smartest’ one had to be the mage because of his high Sense, but if the other summons recognized him, it meant that they all had high intelligence potential.
Even his berserker...
’Maybe they can communicate with each other?’ But I’ve never seen them act that openly before...’
He was confused. But the change happened when he came in here...
The terrain couldn’t be. Maybe it was something else.
He looked at his own energy enveloping the surroundings like an invisible blanket.
’The energy... maybe the sheer amount of pure energy is what makes it so.’ He thought.
It made sense. Right now, he had so much pure attribute energy, perhaps it had acted amazingly on his summonings.
Now, that meant that as he got stronger and had more energy within him, or if he had better control of it, he could make them be like that.
If it were that, it meant that the more attribute energy, the more intelligence the invocations born from it have.
So getting stronger was paramount. He would like to talk to his invocations.
Still, he thought he would be alone in this world. The change in his invocations revealed to him that he would not be. Then he felt much better.
"I’m counting on you." He smiled.
The summons were excited to hear him, but he had to ignore them and look at the city below the mountain.
There were several points of control lit with torches, the closest ones, and they seemed to protect the city from beasts or who knows what.
’Well, in order to accomplish this mission, I’ll need information, so I need to get close to them.’
Determined, he walked towards one of the points of control to look for information.
Walking was possible, and running too. But with a speed... ridiculous. It made no sense for an awakened as strong as he was to run at a speed slower than that of an average human.
Everything inside him was blocked, except the Class.
That’s why he had to sigh. Luckily, he couldn’t run out. The infinite energy that the system said was not only an attribute energy but also his own energy.
That would speed up the destruction of this city, as he would not need to rest.
Thanks to that, he reached the point of control quickly. The surrounding overgrown bush facilitated his approach to it.
Then he began listening to what was being discussed inside the construction.
"The rotator women are taking a long time..."
"They’re going to take several days yet. Even though they have a lot of experience, it’s no use."
"Right, aren’t the new ones better?"
"Tsk, the new ones are only like ** years old. Too small, I don’t like them."
"That’s because you’re an idiot. Those are the best."
"Pew, what the hell are you talking about? Send for one of those g*rls. Didn’t you have three at your house? I’ll send for my two women. Let’s try it so you can see."
"Hahaha, well, that’s unlucky for you. You won’t be able to try those for now."
"Oh? What the hell did you do?"
"I ate them."
"That fast? Tsk, you don’t even let them grow. At least let the meat ripen."
"Hahaha, nothing to do, man. I heard that their m*ther ate one of my brother’s legs, so I thought: maybe they’re tasty? Since I bought them and they refused to sl**p with me every night, I had to try it."
Elliot couldn’t help but be stunned by what he was hearing. For a moment, his mind went blank.
Speaking of g*rls, r*p... and cannibalism?
For God’s sake, he had just arrived, and they were already revealing their depraved tendencies!
But...
That was the least disgusting thing he heard.
Seconds later, he was forced to listen to barbarism after barbarism. Originally, he thought he had come at a bad time, that if he waited, the four there would talk about other things.
But no, that was not the case.
At all times, what came out of their mouths was a bunch of depraved barbarities. They seemed to have absolutely nothing else to talk about.
That slowly increased his anger until the anger in his heart rose so high that it affected his summons.
And he didn’t care.
At that moment, the six of them came through the windows of the small wooden house where they were talking.
"Beasts!" A strange, high-pitched scream came from one of them, who went to grab his sword to defend himself, but before he could do so, a sword had pierced him and split him in half.
At the same time, a huge shield crushed another of them, and the third was struck by fire magic until the rat burned and stabbed him.
The fourth man, who was a little farther away, was stunned but quickly turned around and let loose a shot out the window, with a flare gun, to alert the others.
But he did not have time to escape. His body was impaled by two blades, leading to his death.
Elliot had been watching this from behind with an indifferent look.
’Rubbish.’ He thought and approached.
As he approached...
[You can create a quick summon from this body.]
[You can create a quick summon from this body.]
He was stunned to see four system messages floating above the corpses.
’Quick summon?’
It was his first time seeing a message like this, but he was quickly drawn in.
As he got closer, he realized he could press them. And he did.
Then, the energy that belonged to the corpse beneath him swirled towards him and mingled with the infinite energy surrounding him.
Some information was transmitted to his mind: You can create temporary summons with this energy. You will not expend stat points.
His eyes glowed. Now he remembered what the system had said at the beginning. He could have summons here, which would not belong to him, but he could create as many as he wanted.
He smiled.
’Good.’ He thought. He didn’t think much of it for now, though. First, he reached out to get the energy from them.
He had killed them; why wouldn’t he collect what belonged to him?
But...
[You can’t use your Talent to obtain energy]
’Huh?’ His eyes flickered. He suddenly felt frustrated.
’Tsk. In the end, I’ll have to settle for simply finishing this mission.’ He groaned inwardly.
But it made sense. In fact, what didn’t make sense was that he was trying to get stronger in this place.
But his class and talent had broken so many of the world’s rules that he thought, why wouldn’t it break them again?
But here, the rules were very specific, limiting even his class.
Although frustrated for a moment, he soon sat down next to the corpses and began to use them to create his next summons.
With so much energy available to use and no fear of wasting it because it was infinite, he could create the summons much faster than before.
In less than 10 minutes, he had the four summons ready. This was also because he was learning a lot, drawing.
He was sure that if he were to create his summons again, he would have no faults, but it didn’t matter now.
’Creating summons here will teach me to control the energy very well.’ He looked down at his hands and smiled. He was to make as much use of it as he wanted.
Now that he knew what kind of city they were and that it was confirmed, not only by the system, but also by the inhabitants of this place, he had no regrets.
The newly created summons were not like his own. They had a very human-like appearance. They didn’t look like energy summons, but more like pale humans.
’This will help me.’ He thought and smiled.
He needed to act a little.
He hid the dried corpses, his real summons, and then sat down next to the new ones. The four invocations seemed to be sitting, sleeping, while he kept watch.
A while later, two groups of over 40 people arrived before him.
"What happened? Are there beasts on the periphery?" one of them asked.
"Haha, sorry, dear friends. I was checking the flare gun to have it ready in case I needed it, and it inadvertently went off. I’m new, as you’ll see, I was a little nervous."
"Oh? It went off?" The newcomers stared at each other in shock.
That was hard to happen, but not impossible.
Still, they didn’t notice anything strange. It tended to happen to newcomers when tasked with firing a flare gun.
That’s why they smiled.
"Anything, just shoot it. We’ll come running here. Where are your friends?"
"They’re inside, sleeping."
"You guys are just a sentry post, right? How many troops are inside?"
"There are four of us, sir. We’re just sentries, we don’t fight."
"Right." The man Elliot was talking to didn’t notice anything unusual. "Then get back to work. Be careful. If you see anything, be sure to let us know."
"Thank you, sir. I’ll fire several shots if I see anything, haha."
With that, the forty people left...
But Elliot realized something was wrong with them.
’They realized something’s wrong. They’re afraid there’s more than five here and went to get help?’ He smiled.
’Since you’re leaving, you’re missing the only chance to do anything.’ He thought and went back inside the small building once more.
