Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed-Chapter 175: The Flameheart Legacy
[The Ruined Anaconda Path]
The oppressive silence that followed the destruction of the Anaconda Path was broken by a panicked voice from the surviving Dragon Tooth vanguard.
"What?! Shouldn’t we at least rest!!" Someone yelled, clutching a bleeding arm as the adrenaline of the previous massacre began to fade, leaving only exhaustion and rapidly depleting stamina bars.
Mirabella turned sharply, her ocean-blue eyes narrowing at the terrified guild member. The naivety of the civilian fighters was becoming a liability.
"Rest? That explosion must have woken something up! Don’t forget this is the monster zone!" Mirabella snapped, staring at the lady. The sheer displacement of energy from her God-grade Devil Void strike was a massive beacon. In a high-level ecological like a Monster Zone, apex predators were highly territorial; such a blast was a direct challenge to the local hierarchy.
"HISSSSS!!!"
A sound like tearing metal echoed through the gorge. Everyone violently turned their heads to the thick, settling smoke. A gargantuan Queen Cobra moved out from the haze, standing an imposing 30 meters long from head to tail. Its iridescent green scales pulsed with a toxic, high-density spiritual aura, and its slit-like green eyes fixed on the humans before it with absolute, primal bloodlust. The system interface above its head flashed a terrifying dark red:
[Lv400 - World Boss].
"Ok Princess, this is your fight." Mirabella casually moved one finger. A dense, invisible wave of telekinetic force grabbed the stunned Delphine, lifting her effortlessly from the safety of the group and placed her directly in front of everyone present, right in the monster’s aggro zone.
"....?!!"
"What?!!"
"Are you crazy, Mirabella!!!"
Yakima and Rose yelled in sheer shock. They lunged forward to pull the Princess back behind the tank line, but before they could move a single muscle, blinding crackling energy sparked in the air.
ZAAAP!
Lightning shot out from Cupcake, striking the rocky ground right in front of them with devastating precision. Scorching heat washed over the guild members, and thick smoke began rising from the completely blackened soil, creating a hard boundary line they dared not cross.
’What the hell was that?! That lightning is strong enough to instantly kill a Lv300!’ Yakima thought in absolute disbelief, staring at the seemingly harmless, fluffy cat perched lazily on Mirabella’s shoulder. The casual display of elemental mastery completely shattered her understanding of familiar summons.
’This is crazy! That monster is no ordinary monster, even if the princess is a Lv250 Priestess, she isn’t it match!!’ Rose thought in disbelief, calculating the impossible 150-level disparity.
A World Boss possessed massive HP; a solo Priestess had a near-zero statistical chance of survival.
"Mirabella?" Delphine stared at Mirabella, then looked back at the massive Snake, which was staring intently at them, its thermal pits visibly scanning their strength and energy capacities.
"Don’t worry Princess, if you can’t take down this monster, we will just stop right here and head back home." Mirabella said. A smile that didn’t reach her cold eyes was on her face. This wasn’t malice; it was a brutal, calculated performance review.
"Hey!! That’s my decision to make!" Yakima yelled at her.
"Your decision?" Mirabella looked at her over her shoulder, her gaze piercing right through Yakima’s bravado:
"You just saw what happened. The devil cult ambushed us, and even send one of their leaders!! Do you think what is happening in Ragon city is a simple matter?!! If she doesn’t show and prove her strength, what’s the need continuing this mission?" She asked, laying out the unforgiving logic of the situation.
"....?!"
Yakima was struck speechless. Everything Mirabella just said made horrifying sense. The main reason Delphine had joined this dangerous expedition was to help chase away the dark spirits reportedly plaguing the region. If there weren’t any spirits, Delphine would be the only one with the Holy affinity required to secure the whole city with her powers and chase back the Devil Cult or any lingering evil. But in their protective bubble, they had never once stopped to consider if the sheltered Princess could actually achieve this in a live combat scenario.
But soloing a World Boss Monster? Isn’t that literal suicide? Not everyone is an anomaly like Mirabella.
_
"Ok Princess, if you don’t bring out your full powers, all this will be useless. Your dreams and everything will go to waste." Mirabella said, staring intently at Delphine’s trembling back, pushing her right to the psychological edge.
’You will have to show me that power, although I can’t copy it, I want to see it again.’ Mirabella thought to herself. Her master system was overpowered, but true, ancestral Royal Bloodlines were hard-coded into the soul. She couldn’t pirate this skill, but observing its activation sequence was vital data for her future plans.
Delphine took a deep, shuddering breath. The fear in her eyes was slowly replaced by a burning, resolute light. "I understand."
"No! Princess, that’s--" Yakima pleaded, terrified for the Empire’s heir.
"--No Yakima, Mirabella is right... I need to know my limit, if I can’t defeat this Lv400 world Boss, we will all head back home and let my father handle this issue." Delphine declared, her voice steadying. She started walking towards the colossal snake, leaving the safety of the vanguard behind. As she walked, pure, divine white smoke slowly flowed out from her body, her spirit core overriding its standard limits.
"I won’t lose."
She stretched her hand to the side, tapping into her soul-bound inventory. The air warped, and a pristine white staff, crowned with a glowing crescent moon, appeared instantly in her hand, radiating an overwhelming aura of Holy magic.
"She... She is going to use the royal family bloodline skill!" Austin was shocked, recognizing the sheer density of the energy gathering around the Princess.
"I haven’t seen this before! I have only heard it from Dad!! It says it has the power to kill anything!! As long the target isn’t a Realm Boss!" Aurelia added in disbelief, recalling the bedtime stories of the Flameheart Dragon Empire’s absolute trump card.
"It can’t kill a realm Boss, but it can injure them!! But it has a big disadvantage." Rose said with a heavy sigh, fully aware of the lethal drawback of such an overpowered attack.
"Yes." Mirabella nodded her head, her gaze fixed entirely on Delphine’s rising energy signature:
"Once someone from the Flameheart family used this skill, all their spirit energy will be drained, and they’ll need a full day rest to recover... Not only that, only the first child of the royal family can inherit this power... Due to this, the dragon empire took second on the empires ranking." Mirabella added, reciting the Empire’s most heavily guarded secrets like reading from a public wiki page.
’How did she know about this skill and even its disadvantages? I thought she is from Earth?’ Hitachi thought, his Celestial Eyes darting toward Mirabella in profound confusion. The geographical and historical inconsistencies surrounding the Colonel were piling up faster than he could process.
"HISSSSS!!!"
The huge Cobra hissed, a sound that vibrated the loose stones around them, but it didn’t make a move to strike, just staring warily at Delphine’s glowing form.
Mirabella’s mind immediately flagged the anomaly. ’Strange, this is a world Boss, why is it not attacking? If it attacks now, Delphine won’t have the time to use her skill... Is it protecting something?’ Mirabella thought, her eyes narrowing as she stared at the thick cloud of smoke. The lower half of the snake’s massive body was still hidden inside it.
’Cobra will always curl their body and stand their head to attack, not all Cobras, but still... This one is different.’ It was anchoring itself to a specific spot, prioritizing defense over a preemptive strike.
BOOOOM!!!
A deafening, thundering sound from the sky snapped her back to Reality. The atmospheric pressure dropped drastically. Mirabella raised her head to the sky, watching in awe as the very fabric of space above them tore opened, and a magnificent, blindingly white gateway appeared among the clouds.
’This is it. I can’t believe she already mastered it... Truly impressive.’ Mirabella thought, feeling a rare flicker of genuine respect. Lowering her gaze to Delphine, she watched the young Princess step fully into her role as the Empire’s heir.
Delphine raised her glowing staff high into the air, her voice echoing with the absolute authority of the Flameheart lineage, and yelled:
"Flameheart Heaven Eye!!!"
