The Blade Empress had traveled another 7,000 light-years, arriving at the core area of the Jinxi Civilization, the Three Thousand Second Differential Arm-8 Star Sector. This star sector was not exclusive to the Jinxi Civilization; in fact, there were numerous civilizations here, including some high-level civilizations that even the Jinxi Civilization found troublesome.

The abundance of resources and habitable planets within the star sector provided these civilizations opportunities for development and growth, making this area one of the few prosperous places in the Galaxy.

However, when Bai Zhongqi and Zero arrived here, the Three Thousand Second Differential Arm-8 Star Sector looked significantly different from its usual descriptions. Nearly half of the habitable planets here had been destroyed, a devastation even more thorough than what had occurred in the Borke Civilization’s planets. Not only had all life on their surfaces been completely consumed, but even the planets themselves had been shattered into asteroid belts.

"It looks like something smashed them directly. Could it be the Swarm?" Zero seemed to gain a new understanding of the capabilities of the Second Swarm.

Han Jiaxue then spoke with some astonishment and doubt, "This region is over 7,000 light-years away from the core areas of the Borke Civilization. Ordinary civilizations can’t travel such distances, but can the Swarm travel this far? That is somewhat inconceivable."

Bai Zhongqi spoke with a grave tone, "But the Swarm indeed possesses such capabilities. We have scouted these broken asteroids and found traces similar to those discovered in the Borke Civilization, undoubtedly indicating the Swarm’s involvement."

Zero analyzed, "From the inception of the Swarm, recorded by our Knights, to the sporadic discoveries in various places, to Borke, and now the Jinxi Civilization, I actually suspect that the Swarm might have mastered complex faster-than-light travel methods such as quantum leaps or Stargates. Furthermore, the Swarm’s conquest seems to be occurring simultaneously, potentially threatening many places in the Universe at the same time. This phenomenon could truly be enough to overturn the Universe."

As the Blade Empress of the Iridium Star United Empire conducted its search and reconnaissance in the chaotic star sector, a fleet approached their location.

"Is it possible to identify which civilization it comes from?"

"No, but from various characteristics, it should be a high-level civilization."

Shortly after, the Blade Empress received a communication from the other party expressing goodwill, and the video signal was switched on.

The creature in the video resembled a poppy flower, of course, much larger, even taller than humans. This intelligent life form obviously exhibited more prominent plant-like traits. Planetary intelligent species are rare but usually have long lifespans and good reproductive capabilities.

"Greetings to you, distant visitors. We are the escort fleet of the Porte Concepcion civilization, and I am Commander Cha Men. From your actions, we infer that you are searching for evidence of the Swarm, so we deduce that you are, like us, committed to eradicating the calamity that has destroyed civilizations across thousands of galaxies,"

Bai Zhongqi had heard of the Porte Concepcion civilization, which also resided in this star sector. However, it had no significant diplomatic or military actions and maintained relatively friendly relations with the Jinxi Civilization without keen participation in the original High Council.

Bai Zhongqi said, "Your guess is very accurate, Commander Cha Men. We are indeed searching for the Swarm that has devastated vast civilizations. However, in the spirit of honesty, I must tell you that not long ago, my civilization was also declared a calamity by the Galactic Empire, and the Galactic Emperor launched several wars against us, all of which we defeated."

To Bai Zhongqi’s surprise, Cha Men said, "Chancellor Bai Zhongqi, I am well aware of who you are and that you defeated a great army composed of ten giants. However, we in Porte Concepcion do not recognize this so-called Galactic Emperor, nor do we acknowledge the Fallen Empire’s claim to be the Galactic Empire. Clearly, you and the people of Iridium Star are like any other ordinary civilization in the galaxy, while the real calamity is ravaging this galaxy system. The so-called Galactic Emperor, who claims to lead our galaxy in wiping out the calamity, didn’t extend help to four major civilizations that were nearly annihilated. Moreover, the personal escort fleet of the Galactic Emperor has disappeared without a trace, and it seems the Fallen Empire has reverted to its previous isolated state. Therefore, the so-called Galactic Empire has actually collapsed."

"Collapsed...?" Bai Zhongqi could hardly believe it; the Galactic Empire, which had fought relentlessly against him and repeatedly inflicted severe casualties on Iridium Star, had so quietly disbanded.

"What exactly happened?" Bai Zhongqi pressed.

"If you wish to know," Cha Men replied, "I can provide you with the relevant information. However, to make a long story short, after the major battle in the Orion Arm, the Galactic Empire suffered heavy losses. In the Divine Generals Hall, representing the ten giants, except for San Lin Lu Zhi, who somehow escaped with innumerable avatars, all other Divine Generals are dead. And the main battle fleet of the Galactic Empire also suffered enormous losses."

"It was at this time that the real Swarm calamity began to spread across several spiral arms in the great star zones. Civilizations such as the Jinxi, Borke, Luluo, and Nightclarity suffered terribly in this disaster. Powerless against the Swarm, which propagates by parasitizing through its eggs and is almost impossible to eradicate completely, each of these four major civilizations released their Ark Fleets, essentially abandoning their core areas and letting the Swarm occupy and destroy their homelands. What’s more tragic is those civilizations with weaker technology levels; many civilizations didn’t even manage to escape a single person and completely vanished from the universe."

Bai Zhongqi was shocked for a long while before he said, "This is really going to take some time to digest, it’s a lot of information."

Cha Men didn’t intend to stop speaking. He continued, "And that’s not the whole story. In fact, apart from the Swarm calamity, the galaxy is already facing a full-scale invasion by four great calamities. Evidently, some AI civilization’s robots have also wiped out many civilizations in several star sectors of the Orion Arm, but their conquest involved turning these civilizations’ populations into their slaves. These AIs are conducting some sort of sinister scientific experiments on different species. Moreover, not long ago, we received reliable news that a group of Void Demons in the Aquarius Arm has shredded fifteen civilizations. The areas struck by the Void Demons are filled with spatial debris and dangers, making them uninhabitable for anyone."

Feeling almost numb, Bai Zhongqi asked, "What about the fourth calamity?"

Cha Men pointed at the screen’s opposite side. "Before completely disappearing, the Galactic Emperor identified you not as the Swarm calamity, but as the fourth calamity. Though, nobody truly knows what the fourth calamity is."
