Bai Zhongqi looked at the radar screen covered with the Swarm’s eggs, showing not the slightest hint of tension. His calm also stabilized the crew aboard the Blade Empress.

"With the Chancellor here, no enemy can possibly breach the Blade Empress," such a sentiment inspired the Iridium Star crew members, keeping their spirits high as they stayed at their battle stations, waiting for Bai Zhongqi’s command.

Zero smiled at Bai Zhongqi, "What’s the plan, my Chancellor?"

Bai Zhongqi also smiled, "For the Borke Civilization, who has never encountered this Insectoid Swarm, such an enemy might be deadly. But for us, it’s just a matter of choosing which method to use. The simplest way would be to throw a Singularity Torpedo over there, create a black hole, suck in all those eggs and be done with it. Or, we could use your Enslaved Beasts to go over and see if they can annihilate the eggs—I’m actually quite curious to see what a conflict between Swarms would look like. Of course, there are many other ways, like the ’Quick Motion Field’ I’ve recently developed from primal mass research. It’s an energy field that accelerates the high-speed movement of material particles, ultimately destroying the microscopic structure of matter, thereby dismantling the macroscopic structure of objects—it’s particularly effective against the eggs. Alternatively, we could unleash a barrage of ray storms. After all, the eggs are biological and while they can withstand cold and radiation, they would not truly endure the extreme conditions of a ray storm."

"Then, we shall wait and see how you will clean up this batch of eggs, Chancellor."

Bai Zhongqi’s response was multifaceted; first, he had the Blade Empress pull back a certain distance. As an ordinary large warship, the Blade Empress wasn’t like the Elder Ship, incapable of defending against eggs that could penetrate shields and armor.

The Chancellor first dispatched several squads of Valkyries, the first time these servant life warriors created by him had been thrown into combat. The Valkyries’ gear and attire were all self-fashioned; Bai Zhongqi simply provided inspiration and knowledge. So, when Bai Zhongqi saw the stature of the Valkyries he had released, he was indeed a little shocked.

They were not just a group of striking beauties with busty figures and long legs, wearing rustic armor that wasn’t much more than a bikini. These Valkyries were actually wielding typical cold weapons, riding on Pegasus.

Zero, as the Chancellor’s woman, jealously said, "Aren’t you afraid that by sending these delicate sisters out, they’ll get parasitized by those eggs?"

Qi Wen, the Valkyrie leader who stood at least two meters tall, much taller than Bai Zhongqi, responded very impolitely, "Empress Zero, please give us Valkyries the most basic trust. Such enemies are not even worthy of concern for our brave Valkyries."

Shortly after she finished speaking, a squad of Valkyries riding snow-white Pegasus flew above the swarm of eggs. However, these eggs seemed to have no particular reaction to the Valkyries’ bodies, probably because, similar to Bionic Humans, Valkyries are not real DNA-generated organisms, but rather special life forms.

The charging Valkyries let out a series of shrill cries, imposing in their might. Those with bows and arrows aimed into a space that seemed to have nothing in it and shot their arrows. These arrows exploded in mid-air, and the red light flashed like fireworks, and it was as if Bai Zhongqi and the others could hear the screams of some monstrous creature.

The Valkyries wielding spears and broadswords also dove in. As they swung their weapons, Bai Zhongqi could see domineering shockwaves appear, killing the eggs scattered in space that were invisible to the naked eye.

"It seems that these insect eggs can indeed resist many extreme environments, but after all, they are still biological entities. Faced with this kind of mass destruction, they still can’t cope," Bai Zhongqi evaluated.

Zero added, "The valkyries are indeed quite formidable, but this few teams of only seventy to eighty valkyries are too slow in dealing with so many eggs, and most of the eggs are still heading towards us."

Bai Zhongqi said to her, "I want to see if your enslaved beast can be parasitized."

Zero laughed and said, "I knew you would ask that."

She sent out a Diamond Beast as bait to lure the parasitic eggs. However, the moment the Diamond Beast appeared, all the insect eggs seemed to encounter their archenemy and went crazy, accelerating and attacking the Diamond Beast even more ferociously.

Many insect eggs were killed before they could get close to or enter the Diamond Beast’s body, but a few of them did make it inside. The internal environment of the swarm’s enslaved beast was even less suitable for parasitism, so many of the eggs died in the process.

All the tissues inside the Diamond Beast naturally opposed the eggs. It was extremely difficult for the eggs to extract nutrients and grow inside it. Every cell in the Diamond Beast was like a white blood cell defending against pathogens, becoming warriors against the eggs. Although difficult to reflect visually, the intensity of this process was no less brutal than an inhumane and vicious battle.

The insect eggs would die, but cells inside the Diamond Beast were also perishing, and in the end, no egg managed to successfully parasitize. As a result, this Parasitic Beast became a carcass, decaying in the vast expanse of space.

Bai Zhongqi had not completely failed to anticipate this outcome. He instructed the crew of the Blade Empress, "Alright, we’ve learned almost all we need to know. Now deploy the collection containers, I need to get some live insect eggs for research. Ignore the rest, just use the black hole to suck them all in."

In fact, capturing these insect eggs was not an easy task. Insect eggs could not parasitize inorganic bodies, but these tiny eggs were capable of penetrating the surface of materials. If they tried to contain them with magnetic fields or energy fields, the eggs would just crash into them and die.

Eventually, it was the accompanying scientific research team that attempted to use anesthetics to incapacitate the eggs and then contain them in specially dense material containers. However, the eggs’ resistance to drugs was also exceptionally strong, rendering the drugs almost ineffective. Out of options, Bai Zhongqi contributed some primordial mass, finally securing some live insect eggs as experimental samples.

"Now, we need to ascertain the extent to which various civilizations have been influenced by this swarm and the degree of that influence. And I’m also curious about what kind of mentality the Galactic Emperor had when he didn’t assist these civilizations. He claims to be suppressing natural disasters and maintaining peace in the Galaxy, but why is it that our pseudo-natural disaster was dealt with using great force, while the real insect swarm disaster was let off easily?"
