Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 198: Let’s go and get him
Celestia’s POV:
I scanned the surroundings completely. He was nowhere to be seen. If he is not around here, why am I feeling euphoric?
"Celestia, are you alright?" Edwin asked me.
After that, I turned my attention to him and said, "Yes! I am fine."
"Then shall we begin with the target practice?"
I nodded and picked up the bow from the wooden bench that was to the Chestnut tree. While I was attaching the quiver to my robe, I got that feeling again. He is definitely around here!
Or maybe he is hiding out behind these dense trees. I should catch him now! I started to run in the direction of the dense oak trees.
"Celestia, what happened?!" I heard Edwin shout. But I didn’t give him a response. My focus was completely on catching him.
Eventually, the ecstatic feeling started to fade away. I froze on my tracks in confusion. Through my peripheral vision, I was able to see the white fumes.
I immediately turned to my side, only to see that he had already disintegrated in thin air and escaped from the spot.
"No..." I screamed out.
I was this close to catching him. But he disappeared from the spot like a coward.
Edwin finally caught up with me and asked me, "Celestia, tell me what is going on here?"
"He was here! He was freaking right at this spot, but he vanished a moment ago."
The whites of his eyes widened in horror. "If what you say is true, then we are in serious trouble. We should alert the King immediately."
"No, we can’t," I snapped. "It will distress my father when he comes to know about this. We have to deal with this situation by ourselves. I know where he is right now. So let us go there and get him!"
Edwin blinked and said," You know where he is? But how?"
"I think that Fae Lord Samuel’s son is actually Silver Shadow."
"What?" he shouted. "Celestia, are you serious? How can Silver Shadow be Samuel’s son?"
He reacted just like I expected him to do. This is precisely why I didn’t tell him about this before. My assumption sounded illogical even to me! But there is no time to explain this to him.
"Edwin, hurry up! Take me now to Fae Lord Samuel’s palace. Since he is pretending to be his son, I think that he must be there."
His face turned even paler. "Celestia, even if Samuel’s son turns out to be Silver Shadow, then I can’t take you there. You have no powers to defend yourself, and I am not strong enough to fight with that trickster."
I sighed to myself as the realization hit me. I am powerless now! The best I can do is claw his skin a little with my sharp nails, which I don’t think is going to do any damage to him.
"Listen to me, Celestia! We have to inform the King about this. Or else we won’t be able-"
"Let us just take Darius with us," I interrupted him. "Then it will be three against one!"
"Still, the odds are against us, my friend. You know how powerful he is!"
"I don’t care! I want to capture him now."
Edwin didn’t argue with me after that, as he knew that it was futile to try and change my mind. Usually, I am not this stubborn, but the Silver Shadow always makes sure to bring the worst out of me.

Luckily, Darius was done training the young warriors for the day when Edwin and I reached the cliff. He frowned at us when we both got out of the portal and ran to him.
"Darius, come with us now. We know where Silver Shadow is, and we should capture him."
"Whoa! Slow down, Celestia. Can you repeat what you said?"
I hastily explained everything that had happened so far. Darius didn’t seem to believe me either. But when I told him about my dream, he got serious.
"Let me get this straight! Are you telling me that Samuel’s son is Silver Shadow?"
"Yes! Now come on, Darius. Let us go and get him now!"
I turned on my heels and tried to walk back to my portal. But Darius wasn’t following me. He had his hand crossed over his golden armor, and he vaguely eyed me.
"Darius, come on! What are you waiting for?"
"I don’t think that it is a good idea to go there. It is really stupid to enter the opponent’s castle and confront them alone."
"Then do you suggest that we do nothing?"
"Not, exactly," he said and took a step near me. "We have to make our enemy come to our place."
His idea sounded good. But how will he come here now? He knows that I caught him!

Fortunately, my father had gone out of the castle to visit the lands. So we were freely able to roam around his chamber.
Edwin refused to get into the chamber—as he thinks that it is treason to enter into the private property of the Fae King. But I persuaded him to get in. This is not the time to follow the rules!
Darius was writing something on a white scroll with his quill. I moved closer to him and peeked at his writings. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
’Lord Samuel, I need you to arrive at the castle immediately. You have a task to perform. And bring your children along with you; they might be helpful to you in completing the task.’
My eyes refused to believe what he just wrote. Who writes such an informal scroll like this?
"Darius, are you seriously going to send that to Samuel? He will know that it wasn’t written by the King."
He folded the scroll and turned to my side. "Celestia, this scroll will bring out the truth about him. If he is innocent, then he will arrive here with his children. If he is not, then he is probably going to run away. And that is when we corner and capture him along with that trickster."
I was stunned as I never really thought that Darius was capable of scheming something brilliant like this.
