Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 151: The Dawn will be born again.....

Celestia’s POV:

It was the time of sunrise in the burned-out forest of light. I was in the same spot where I took the Oath of Eternity with Theo. Now I am going to sacrifice myself again in another way.

But this is for the welfare of everyone in this realm. If I don’t do this, the side of the light will vanish entirely. I reminded myself that this is for the greater good.

My father summoned the Holy fire of Aiden right next to the incinerated oak tree. Now all I have to do is take a step in these bright yellow flames and offer myself to the Holy fire.

Before I was about to step into the fire, I turned around and glanced at the people who were gathered here to bid me farewell. It looks like everyone from the Highlanders is here. Most of them in the crowd were weeping!

I was stunned by the love they were showering on me. I glanced at my side to see the faces of my beloved friends for one last time. They were gloomy too. This is not right! This isn’t the right way to say goodbye to my dear people.

"Everybody, listen," I shouted out to them all. They all fell silent and gazed at me.

"I have always said that I love my people more than my life! Today, I have a chance to prove my love to you all. Please don’t forget that I am doing this for every one of you."

As I ended my little speech, a Fae kid moved closer to me. I noticed that he was holding a little wooden doll in his hand. Just like everyone else, he was weeping too.

He then offered his wooden doll to me and said, "I won’t be able to come with you there. So can you please take my Woody with you?"

The doll has a name too! I smiled at him and said, "But if I take your woody with me, it will get burned too! Aren’t you afraid of losing your woody friend?"

The kid shook his head while he was still sobbing and said, "I am already losing you! So I don’t need this either."

I promised myself that I wouldn’t cry before I stepped into the fire. This little kid made me break my own promise! After shedding a few drops of tears, I got the wooden doll from the kid.

I patted his head gently. The kid’s brown hair reminded me of Theo. He has brown hair too! What am I doing here? This is an auspicious moment! I should not ruin this by thinking about him.

"What is your name, kid?" I asked him.

"Marvin," he said and wiped his teary face with his tiny fingers.

"Listen to me, Marvin! Please don’t think that I will be gone forever! I will be reborn again after a thousand years and come back to you all. Until then, I want you to train hard and become a Fathomless Fae warrior. Do you understand?"

He nodded to me and turned around to the crowd. "Did you all listen to what she said? The Dawn will be born again!" the kid shouted out.

"The Dawn will be born again," the rest of the crowd began to chant.

People kept on chanting that for a while. I smiled to myself and realized that my time has come. I turned on my heels and stepped closer to the blazing fire. I was wearing a bright yellow-colored long gown, just like this Holy fire.

My grip on the wooden doll in my hand tightened as I felt the warmth of the flames touching my skin. Exactly, at that moment, I heard his voice in my head.

"Celestia, please don’t step into the Holy fire! I am trapped in the Shadow realm right now, but I will come for you as soon as possible."

My eyes got watery again! Why is he stopping me now? Perhaps he doesn’t want me to make this sacrifice as he wants the light forces to vanish.

"No, my love! You got it all wrong! I was never your enemy. I am your ally! You and I are one. So please change your mind and walk away from there!"

I froze on my steps and shut my eyes tight. I am just inches away from the fire now. But Theo’s voice in my head was distracting me from doing my deed.

"Celestia, you don’t have to do this deed! You are not responsible for other people’s sins. You don’t have to sacrifice your life for them. You only belong to me! And I forbid you from taking your own life."

Then I realized what he was doing! He is tempting me with his lies again. I am not going to fall for it! I ignored his whispers and took a step in the fire.

"My love.... Please don’t leave me! I am begging you. You don’t know the entire truth about everyone!" His voice almost pierced my skull. I ignored his words and took another step in the fire.

Soon I offered my whole body to the Holy Fire. I screamed out at the top of my voice as the fire engulfed me entirely and began to scorch my skin. The pain I felt was nothing like I have experienced before.

"Calm down, Celestia. Wake up now! It is over. Just open your eyes, " I heard a woman’s voice say.

Still, I wasn’t able to stop screaming. How can I calm down when my whole body is on fire?

"Celestia, my friend. You can relax now! Try to feel my hand," said another voice. And this voice seemed to be very familiar to me. Is it Ember?

Still, I was scared to open my eyes. What if the blazing fire is still surrounding me? Then I realized that I was lying on something cool. My skin wasn’t burning anymore.

Perhaps it is really over! I slowly opened my eyes and blinked at the blue sky above me.
