This pork stomach chicken stew, while simple in method, requires skill.

Especially Wang Fan, who insists on not taking it off the stove until he deems it perfect.

Just to taste this pot of fresh soup, the customers behind, already starving, with their stomachs rumbling, refused to leave and kept waiting.

By the time the last guest left with a satisfied, bulging belly, it was already midnight.

Even with a bonfire show, Man Ting Park usually closes by 9:30. Staying open until midnight today was purely because those lining up were park staff.

This included Cheng Feifei and Fu Xiangyun and several girls and guys in traditional attire, as well as the park director and vice director.

The director was very pleased with tonight's meal and expressed gratitude for the park's rule that requires leaving by 9:30; otherwise, he might have missed out on this delicacy.

As for the visitors who left at 9:30, while we didn't…

Is it not okay to work overtime and have a midnight snack?!

"Hurry up and pack up, let's go back to sleep."

Wang Fan instructed, starting to tidy up tables and chairs, but didn't get a response from Zhuo Qianqian. Looking back, he saw she was slumped over the counter, sleeping soundly.

"Ha…"

Shaking his head with a smile, Wang Fan didn't wake her; she was indeed very tired today.

Though he did the cooking and seasoning, Zhuo Qianqian took care of the washing and prepping, much influenced by Wang Fan, putting a lot of effort into cleaning the pork stomach, which is quite physically demanding.

With light footsteps, Wang Fan put the tables and chairs back in place and gathered the pot and trays together.

After checking the time, he decided to leave the cleaning for the morning and instead use the dishwasher later.

He gently nudged Zhuo Qianqian, who didn't respond. From her steady breathing, it was clear she was already dreaming sweetly.

It's uncertain if he found an employee or a daughter-like figure.

He carried Zhuo Qianqian on his back again, turned off the lights, and headed to the RV.

The night was as dark as ink, so thick it was nearly palpable. In the endless darkness, the faint light appeared dim, but the half-moon in the sky was like a bright lamp, casting a cool glow.

Under the moonlight, everything took on a clear, mysterious beauty.

The sound of chirping insects added a touch of life to the night.

At some point, on Wang Fan's back, a faint blush appeared on Zhuo Qianqian's fair face.

...

"Wake up, it's time to wash up."

Back at the RV, Wang Fan placed Zhuo Qianqian on the bed and started shaking her head, making it wobble like a rattle drum.

"Stop! Stop… Otherwise, my head is going to fall off!"

Zhuo Qianqian caught Wang Fan's arm, worried that if he shook any more, her head might just fall off.

"Go wash up and get to bed early, I'm going to sleep first."

Anyway, he had passed the days just like this, Wang Fan was too tired to bother with the shop further.

Zhuo Qianqian felt nothing was amiss, as she hadn't transformed into a hungry wolf as she told He Lu Xue, so the boss was safe.

She returned, washed up, and slipped under the covers as waves of drowsiness washed over her.

The RV bore no other scents; the faint aroma of grass and flowers filled one with peace, promising another night of sound sleep.

At six, Wang Fan roused Zhuo Qianqian once more. Having a workout partner was nice, especially one who could match his stamina.

Exercising early stimulated his appetite. Starting the dishwasher for Zhuo Qianqian to watch over, Wang Fan got to work on breakfast.

He decided to make shredded potato egg pancakes for himself, and Zhuo Qianqian wasn't a picky eater—whatever the boss made, she'd eat, because anything he made was guaranteed to be excellent, impossible to get wrong even with eyes closed.

Fetching the recently delivered carrots and potatoes, he washed and peeled them before showcasing his knife skills.

As his knife moved swiftly, potatoes, carrots, and sausages were obediently transformed into thin slices, then into fine shreds.

He rinsed the shredded potatoes in water several times until all starch was removed.

Mixing the shredded potatoes and carrots in a 4:1 ratio in a basin, he tossed in a handful of shredded sausage and some scallions to begin seasoning.

After mixing, he cracked a few egg whites into the basin.

Adding some cooked soybean oil, he gently stirred.

Finally, he mixed in some corn starch and wheat flour, blending well before proceeding to cook.

Just then, a row of small heads peeked in through the shop door. It was the park staff who had enjoyed the pork stomach chicken stew the night before.

Cheng Feifei, Fu Xiangyun, and several other girls in their twenties.

Cheng Feifei had a shy smile as she asked, "Heehee, what's for breakfast today, little brother? Could you make some for us too?"

She quickly added, "We'll pay, for sure! It's just that your cooking is too delicious, the cafeteria food can't compare."

Wang Fan chuckled, "Then wait a bit, I just started."

"Yay!"

The young ladies cheered, rushing into the shop. Seeing Zhuo Qianqian busy with the dishes, two of them went over to help.

The other two watched intently as Wang Fan displayed his culinary skills.

He held a knife in his right hand and picked up chopsticks with his left, grabbing a portion of the shreds from the basin and placing them on the knife. Using the chopsticks, he arranged them into a bird's nest shape before moving the knife to the electric griddle, where he gently placed the nest of shreds.

"Sizzle…"

The electric griddle was preheated, its layer of oil fully heated, so as soon as the shreds hit the surface, a rich vegetable aroma wafted out.

Cheng Feifei couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, this pancake looks so good, like a little bird's nest."

"Exactly, and it smells amazing too. If the food stall uncle had skills like this, we wouldn't need to run out every day."

Wang Fan merely smiled and continued placing more nests into the electric griddle.

Then he picked up the bowl that had held the egg yolks, using chopsticks to place the yolks into each small bird's nest.

Seeing the latest shape of the shredded potato pancake, Cheng Feifei and the other girls' eyes immediately sparkled.

The red-and-white shredded potatoes, sausage shreds, and carrot shreds created an enticing color contrast, and the addition of the yellow egg yolk made it look like a sparkling yellow gem was set on top.

"Wow, it's so beautiful, I'm worried I won't want to eat it later."

"Just looking at it is a kind of enjoyment, it must taste especially good!"
