Chapter 402: Chapter 402 - Earthbound Colossus

Atlas stood once more atop the ceremonial plaza. The sight before him made him pause for a moment.

The population of Gacha Haven had grown far beyond what he remembered. It had multiplied several times over. They had now surpassed one thousand residents.

From the final victory against Morvain alone, Atlas had gained three hundred and forty combatants, along with seventy five workers.

It turned out that after the battle ended and Morvain was slain, the dense forest on that island began to change. Some of the trees released those who had been trapped within them.

It was a truly horrific method of warfare. The enemy lord had sacrificed his own people, turning them into living shields. No matter the justification, war always demanded sacrifices. But this was different.

Those people had been imprisoned, forced to receive damage meant for others. They had no way to defend themselves. No way to fight back.

From Atlas’s side, if not for Lyrassa, who endured an overwhelming amount of damage on her own, the worst possible outcome would have become reality.

Atlas might have lost her.

It was a cruel way to fight. A despicable one.

Fortunately, Lyrassa had been under a powerful blessing after giving birth to Cael. Her regeneration had increased many times over compared to her normal state, allowing her to survive what should have been impossible.

Atlas let out a quiet breath and checked his inventory again.

Standard Tickets.

He decided he would only use those. Atlas had deliberately saved his Exclusive Tickets, especially since once the current Lord Battle event ended, a new exclusive character banner would surely appear.

He wanted to be prepared.

And he was.

Atlas had seventy Standard Tickets.

That was a considerable amount.

Previously, he had stopped pulling after obtaining a Rank S character, Krythalis. That meant he was no longer in a safe guaranteed state for another Rank S pull.

Even so, Atlas had no intention of using all his tickets. He decided he would spend only forty.

For now, that would be enough.

Atlas stood at the front, with Lyrassa just a short distance behind him, Cael resting gently in her arms. Vienne was there as well, unable to stay still, hopping around in excitement every few seconds, clearly overwhelmed with joy at having a new little brother. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Atlas raised ten tickets into the air.

"Today, we are celebrating many things at once," Atlas said loudly. "The birth of Cael. The arrival of more combatants to our side. More workers who will strengthen Gacha Haven. And our temporary victory in the Dominion Convergence."

With a grin, he tossed the tickets upward. "Let’s make a small celebration out of this."

"FIRE!!!" came a thunderous shout from the crowd.

The ten tickets spun rapidly in the air above them.

How long had it been since Atlas last did this? It felt like a very long time. He had deliberately delayed pulling as much as possible. He knew that the higher his level, the more advanced his class, and the greater his rank as a Lord, the better the quality of rewards the gacha would yield.

But today was special.

Today deserved it.

The tickets in the air began to change color, one by one.

PURPLE!

"FIRE!" the crowd roared.

An incredible start.

BROWN. BROWN. BROWN. PURPLE!

"FIRE!!!" The voices echoed even louder across the plaza. There were far more people now than before, and their excitement was impossible to miss.

When all ten tickets finally revealed their results, Atlas let out a small breath.

Three Rank A pulls.

On the very first attempt.

That was impressive luck.

Atlas smiled faintly. "Let’s see what the gacha has in store for us tonight," he said quietly.

The night was still long.

Atlas quickly opened the seven brown tickets first, not wasting a second. He stepped forward toward the first Rank A result floating in the air. He reached out and touched the glowing ticket, then deliberately stepped back.

The ticket began to shake violently.

It crumpled inward, as if something invisible was gripping it tightly. Then it stretched, twisted, and unfurled, rolling outward until it transformed into a scroll suspended in midair. A golden aura radiated from it.

[You have received 1 Unique Skill Scroll: Earthbound Colossus]

[Skill Description:]

[The user channels Earth element energy to manifest multiple massive earth hands that rise from the ground and crush enemies across a wide area.]

[The number of manifested earth hands can reach up to 100, depending on the user’s affinity with the Earth element and the advancement level of the skill.]

[Each earth hand possesses overwhelming crushing force and area control, capable of suppressing and annihilating large scale enemy formations.]

Atlas narrowed his eyes slightly as he read the description.

He briefly explained the skill to the others. "Unfortunately for you all, this one suits me perfectly. Unless someone here has a higher affinity with Earth and its advanced forms than I do?"

A wave of disappointed groans followed, though Atlas knew they were only joking.

Still, this skill truly was a perfect match for him. His Earth affinity was already high, and on top of that, he also possessed affinity with Magnetic Earth. This skill would allow him to use its full potential.

Even at this point, Atlas already had many skills with a massive area of effect. But having more than one option, especially with different elemental variations, always carried great value.

It gave him flexibility.

The ability to exploit elemental advantages and weaknesses depending on the enemy he faced.

And in battles between lords, that kind of versatility could decide everything.

Atlas immediately moved on to the next item. He touched the ticket, and it burst into flames almost instantly.

Fire?

The ticket burned away completely, replaced by a small vial floating in the air. Flames flickered gently inside the glass.

"A potion?"

Curious, Atlas reached out and took it. The vial was small, there was only one, and yet it was classified as a Rank A item.

That alone made it suspicious.

Atlas focused, waiting for the system details to reveal exactly what kind of potion this was.
