Chapter 347: Chapter 346 Uncle Peary is Enraged (Extra Update)

Nia Mitchell was clearly starting to lose patience, but her rational mind prevailed, and she dared not hang up directly.

On the other end of the phone, Maxwell Peary clenched his fists the moment he heard this. If Nia were in front of him right now, he probably wouldn’t be able to stop himself from lashing out. Damn it. She’s growing a temper, isn’t she? And her guts are getting bigger, aren’t they?

"Nia Mitchell, I’m giving you one last chance—tell me where you are."

Maxwell Peary struggled to suppress his anger as he interrogated her, word by word, completely forgetting that he could have instructed his subordinates to find out.

"I’m having dinner now. You should head back first."

She hesitated for a moment, then finally said those words before preparing to hang up.

"Nia Mitchell!"

Furious, Maxwell Peary kicked the car.

"Royal Bay Villa is being renovated. Do you even know how to get to our new home by yourself?"

Nia swallowed hard. She had completely forgotten about that, solely focused on being angry with him.

"Then give me the address. I’ll take a cab there."

She was determined not to back down. Why should she love him if he doesn’t love her? Nia bit her lip. Her heart ached.

They were already married. Maxwell Peary could be so good to her and spoil her in every possible way. But why he... That day at the old Peary Clan mansion, the words of Samuel Peary and Phoebe Harris still lingered in her ears. Anne Davidson. Maxwell Peary liked Anne Davidson, and Anne Davidson was in Provence. That must have been why he’d left in such a hurry that day, disregarding her, not even leaving a word of explanation.

"I’ll send it to you later."

Maxwell Peary hung up first after saying that.

For quite a while, Nia absent-mindedly removed the phone from her ear, looking as if she was in a daze. He had agreed so easily.

She didn’t know how she made it through her meal. By the time she came to her senses, she was already full.

"Would you like to take a walk?"

Worried, Edbert Mitchell watched her rubbing her stomach and frowning.

"No need. You’re so busy, you should head back. I’ll take a cab home in a bit."

"I can’t let you do that. I’ll take you."

"No need."

Nia firmly refused. She let go of her hand rubbing her stomach and smiled. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

"I want to walk alone."

Edbert Mitchell couldn’t persuade her and finally let her have her way, getting in his car and leaving.

Watching Edbert Mitchell’s car drive away, Nia reached for her phone.

There were no missed calls, just one text message clearly displaying the address of the hillside villa.

Nia slowly walked forward. The sky was full of stars, exceptionally beautiful. Yet, she was the only one there to witness such beautiful scenery.

And so, Nia walked through the streets for several hours. By the time she arrived at the hillside villa by taxi, it was already eleven o’clock at night.

"Madam, you’re home."

When Young Master came home tonight, something seemed off about him. He looked colder than usual, his eyes sharper than a blade forged from solid ice. He hadn’t eaten dinner, just requested a cup of coffee and busied himself in his Office Room until just now. He then had a drink of water before heading up to his Bedroom. He didn’t mention anything about Young Madam, and his grim countenance made the butler afraid to inquire further. So, the butler had to wait in the Living Room.

"Yeah."

Exhausted, Nia sat in the Entrance Hall, took out her slippers, and slowly changed into them.

"Madam, Young Master hasn’t had dinner yet."

Seeing Nia sitting there motionless after changing her shoes, the butler hesitated for a bit before saying what he needed to say.
