Extra's Hatred System-Chapter 4: Entrance Exam

I advanced towards the arena along with all the people taking the entrance exam and one of the instructors guided us to the room where everybody would get prepared...

Only two thousand people were allowed to participate in the entrance exam, and out of all these people, only half would be able to enter the academy.

I have absolutely no idea how someone with no powers like me could have been allowed in here as it is only the cream of the crop who were allowed in but I guess the entity that led me in here in the first place must of played a role...

We were currently in a gigantic room connected to the arena, and infront of us was a big screen displaying the structure which was filled to the brim with individuals from all races: over twenty thousand people from all countries came to watch the exam physically.

Mina was next to me and holding onto my hand while trembling, she had the number "238" pinned on her shirt.

She was awfully cute but I shook my head to force myself to concentrate.

And all of a sudden...

"Welcome to the annual Freesia Academy entrance exam, there are over two thousand of you today but only a thousand will be able to access our marvelous school" a red-haired teacher announced, she had an imposing voice that forced us to listen to her every word.

A huge uproar began to ring out as people from all directions discussed what they should do.

But it wasn't my case, after all I already knew about what would happen...

"Over the next 12 hours, every single one of you will fight in a one on one battle agaisn't another person, you will all be called by your numbers" the teacher continued, and then finally revealed the twist, "if you lose the fight, you are eliminated, if you win, you are accepted into the academy."

People didn't have the time to react to the information that the lady spoke again.

"Good luck, I shall meet all the winners later" and then she disappeared out of nowhere, living only a black fume behind her.

And just as it had been described in the novel, the room went in a frenzy as everybody was pushing each other, this is why making friends at the beggining is a bad idea.

But in contrary to what I thought, Mina was still holding onto my hand, looking more confident then before.

"I just hope we don't have to fight each other" she said while smiling.

The number of the first two contestants were announced and a blue light appeared and enveloped them as they were suddenly teleported into one corner of the arena, it had been the same in the novel, but other then the main character's, no fight was described.

I have no power and I don't know how the hatred system works, so I really hope I can fight someone that is not strong... my chances of winning are already low enough as they are.

The 1v1 fights kept going for a while, and soon enough it was Mina's turn.

And just as predicted, she completely dominated the poor guy fighting her using her bow and magic.

She was a heroine after all, it's normal that she passed the exam...

Slowly and slowly, the room was getting more and more deserted as everybody else was getting teleported and either winning their fights or losing.

But after a while... it was finally my turn.

Wait... number one? I feel like I know who it is...

I couldn't really reminisce it as it was only the first few chapters of the novels but... fuck what was it?

As the blue light enveloped my body, I could hear the remaining people talk.

"Poor guy... he got the worst of them all..."

"No academy for him I guess~"

I don't like these comments.

When the blue light disapeared, I opened my eyes and was met with the sight of a beautiful blond-haired man with red eyes standing a few meters infront of me...

"No... fucking... way?" I spouted out in a despaired voice.

"Well, well, well, looks like i'm gonna fight a newbie today, don't worry, i'll go easy on you" the blond haired man laughed.

It was him...

The protagonist, Daemon.

I don't know what to do at this point.

There is no way I can win agaisn't Daemon, even before he entered the academy, he was already reputed to be super strong.

And now that he stood before me, I understood why it was the case.

But something else angered me more then anything else.

The man Daemon fought at the start of the novel didn't even have his name or appearance described, he was just used to show that the protagonist was strong and he just ended up being humiliated infront of everybody.

Which means...

"I'm nothing but a side character in his story... aren't I...?"

I am an extra, a nobody, someone with no powers that shouldn't even be here...

The blonde family that kicked Kaine stood infront of their TV, they had been enjoying the different matchs up until now but it looks like the most entertaining one was finally gonna start.

"Kaine is seriously gonna fight the Daemon?" Clara, the daughter, asked.

"This boy couldn't have been unluckier then he currently is" David answered, "he is done for."

Byul stayed silent, the fight was not something interesting to her, the only thing she could think about was that Kaine finally left the house and was now in an impossible situation.

"Fight! Start!" the announcer shouted and a huge roar echoed through the whole arena, people were cheering for the protagonist.

"Hey kid, are you gonna attack or do I have to begin the fight?" the blonde man said.

But I didn't answer and stayed silent, I was looking at my shoes and thinking about my current situation, I had no way out so what could I possibly do, I can't beat him after all.

"You're right, I shouldn't bother with someone weak like you" he replied after noticing my silence.

Then Daemon made his move, he was always impatient and full of himself in the novel too.

He jumped a few meters in the air and extended his hand towards the ground.

"Fireball!"

A giant orb of fire suddenly appeared on his hands and he shot it, causing it to grow in size and hit the ground right infront of me.

"Kid! That's just a demonstration, if it actually hit you, you would be dead, so try harder and fight back!"

"I don't see the point" I spoke.

"What?" Daemon looked at me confused.

I don't why, but at this very moment, I didn't feel any type of despair or sadness at the fact my new life in here would be ruined before it even started. 𝒇𝓻𝙚𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙗𝒏𝒐𝒗𝙚𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝒎

The only thing I felt at this very moment...

Was pure hatred.

"I'm gonna fucking DESTROY YOU!" I roared, surprising the crowd and the protagonist himself.
