Extra's Hatred System-Chapter 30: Minotaur (1)

"What is that thing?" Sarah exclaimed in awe, I could see that her legs were trembling.

"I don't know, but it looks d-dangerous" Mina replied.

"You two, stay here" I told them, "i'll hold off that thing."

"Are you crazy? You're gonna die!" Sarah shouted.

"Don't worry, i'll be fine" I smiled at her and then ran towards the minotaur.

I had to make sure to keep the girls safe, and I also needed to make sure that the main character would save Sarah.

Daemon was already swinging his sword at the beast but was doing little to no damage to it as it didn't budge.

I concentrated all my power in my legs and jumped over the monster, then landed behind it.

"Hey ugly, over here!" I shouted.

The minotaur turned around and looked down on me, it was terrifying.

"RAAAAAAAHHHH" it roared and swung his axe at me.

I avoided it by jumping to the side, but the shockwave created by the impact of the weapon on the ground was enough to send me flying.

"Ugh..." I groaned while getting up, "this is gonna be harder than I thought."

I looked back at the girls and saw that they were still standing there, I guess they were too scared to move.

"Kaine!" Mina shouted, "be careful!"

"Yeah yeah" I waved my hand at her.

"RAAAAAHHH" the minotaur roared again and charged at me.

I dodged the attack and tried to hit it's leg, but my fist did nothing to it's thick skin.

"Shit..." I cursed under my breath, I was lucky the aura around my hand blocked any kind of injury when I was hitting as my fingers would of probably broke normally.

"RAAAAAHHH" the monster swung his axe at me again, but this time I wasn't fast enough to dodge it.

I raised my arms like a shield to block the attack, but it was useless as I was sent flying into a wall.

"Gah..." I coughed out blood.

"Kaine!" Mina screamed.

"Damn it, I can't even hurt it..." I thought while getting up.

Daemon also started using his sword elements to slash the monster, it seemed like he was actually succeeding too as the beast was bleeding.

But one swing of it's heavy axe sent Daemon flying to the other side of the hallway.

The other students had already evacuated which means only me, the protagonist, Mina and Sarah were inside of the destroyed museum.

"RAAAAAHHH" the minotaur roared and charged at me again.

I was still dizzy from the previous attack, so I couldn't avoid it.

"Kaine!" Mina shouted.

"Huh?" I looked up and saw that the monster was about to crush me with it's axe.

"Fuck..." I closed my eyes and waited for the impact, i'm sorry Mina...

But it never came.

Instead, I heard a loud sound of metal clashing against each other.

I opened my eyes and saw that the minotaur's axe was being held back by a sword.

"GET THE FUCK UP YOU LITTLE SHIT" Daemon shouted.

[Anger meter: 98/100]

I... I am still so weak.

Why am I even trying to act like a hero, I could just get out of here and let the main character do his job, he'll probably unlock that power of his any second now.

I'm holding him off...

But before my eyes I saw the beast take the advantage over the protagonist and send him off again.

And then arrows started bouncing on the monster's back, it was Mina trying to hold it off by any means she had.

"LEAVE KAINE ALONE YOU-... LITTLE-... SHIT!" she shouted while firing her magic arrows.

The minotaur then turned it's back to me, thus purposely ignoring me.

"Even it think i'm not a threat..." I sulked.

"GRAAAAAAAWWWRRR" the monster roared and charged towards the girls.

"Here it is... the moment the main character saved the girls and got rid of that thing" I looked at Daemon, relieved that it would soon be over.

He had his eyes closed and was holding his sword with both arms, this is the pose he took when he unlocked that power.

But... NOW IS NOT THE TIME YOU IDIOT!

I looked back at Mina and Sarah who were defenseless agaisn't the giant and it was like the world around me slowed down all of a sudden.

"The main character wouldn't reach them fast enough" this was the conclusion I reached, it would still take him atleast five seconds before finishing to power-up, this was enough time for their bodies to be crushed under the giant's weapon.

Which means that now, the elf and the blue hair were both at death's door, with nobody to save them from their fate.

Nobody except... me?

[Skill: Hatred, activated.]

The world around me turned red and I felt the hatred aura crawl on my back.

I was so angry now that I felt like I could jump infront of a train, but no, I can't just go infront of that monster, it would be suicide.

I needed something...

And before even realizing what I was doing, I was already running at top speed towards the girls as I saw the thing swing it's axe, ready to kill them both.

"SHITTY ENTITY, IF YOU'RE HERE, GIVE ME SOMETHING" I shouted inside of my head, "PLEASE, ANYTHING!!!"

I was so fast that I was already infront of the monster, the sight of it swinging it's weapon at you was horrifying, but I needed to keep going.

But it was hopeless, even with the hatred skill, I knew I wasn't strong enough to block this attack.

The best thing I can do is take the hit and die, hoping that they would run away after or that the main character would finish getting his new power.

But then all of a sudden, something started forming inside of my hand, it was like the aura particles were slowly regrouping each other to create something. 𝒇𝓻𝙚𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙗𝒏𝒐𝒗𝙚𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝒎

It was... an axe.

A completely red double axe actually, it's texture was solid yet it felt like it was entirely made from that hatred aura around me as it's sharp borders were shaking like waves.

I heard a notification.
