Chapter 127: The Dog and The Chicken

The leader of Class-C stepped into the pool, his usual gang right behind him. Laughter subsided, and smiles receded.

His presence was pretty much a mood dampener.

Logan stood up, his expression dark.

"Who the hell are you calling trash? You must be a big fool."

One of the girls gasped, surprised by his sharp retort.

Apollo turned his purple eyes to him. "Yo, dog. It’s you again."

He said casually, then waved his hand politely.

Logan’s face turned red from anger, and he immediately wanted to attack Apollo. However, he restrained himself. He needed to keep face before Hazel and not act rash.

’He didn’t fall for the taunt. Tch.’

Apollo snorted, completely ignoring him. Instead, he shifted his gaze to Hazel who had remained silent.

His eyes brazenly roamed her body, a look of mock lust in his eyes.

"I didn’t know you’d be this endowed. Although, you seem to be on the smaller size."

He turned to look at Ysabella and Iruca, making them sink deeper into the water to avoid his gaze.

Eric and Jose cursed under their breath, but couldn’t stand up to confront him. They remained at the edge of the pool, their glares boring holes into his back.

Apollo put on sunglasses, his expression relaxed. "Fortunately for you all, my target isn’t here."

He looked around, then frowned. "Where the hell has he been anyway? Two weeks and no sign of him on my radar."

Immediately, everyone understood who he was looking for. Especially the students of Class-E.

They were aware of the rivalry between Apollo and Kaiser. After all, it was Apollo that exposed Kaiser’s identity as Sherlock Holmes.

"And what do you want with him?" Hazel finally reacted, folding her magazine and turning to Apollo.

"What else? I just want to have a peaceful chat with him."

He grinned, the wind blowing his long hair slightly.

No one believed him.

Suddenly, Apollo’s grin disappeared. "You guys are really cowardly. Even after knowing he made you all fall into debt, you couldn’t do anything about it? As expected of toothless lions."

Suddenly, someone snapped.

Eric sprang up, his expression livid. Pointing at Apollo, he yelled.

"What do you know about that monster?! You just came once to stir up trouble and you think you’re some great guy? You’re a damned chicken!"

His body trembled as he spoke.

"I almost got expelled because of you! It was all your fault! You’re just a stupid guy with delusions!"

Eric shouted at the top of his voice, expressing his heart plainly.

The scar Kaiser had left upon him couldn’t be erased, and he needed somewhere to vent.

Although Logan had taught him to unleash his frustration upon the training automatons, he felt more relieved shouting at a human.

"You bastard. You dare?!"

Alexander stepped forward from behind Apollo. As his lackey and subordinate, he couldn’t stand seeing Apollo insulted.

Apollo also frowned. "A frog like you dares speak without caution?"

Standing beside him, Thyla clicked her tongue. "No wonder they’re called defects."

Alexander, with his thuggish pink hair standing straight, approached Eric with a menacing smile.

Logan immediately blocked his path, putting Eric behind him protectively.

"Guys, stop!" Iruca shouted, but her cry fell on deaf ears.

The pink-haired thug from Class-C didn’t care and threw a punch. Logan also crossed his arms, ready to tank the punch.

Clap!

A crisp, clear sound echoed, freezing the atmosphere completely.

Someone walked into the pool area, their steps measured and even.

"What is going on here?"

The blindfolded person said, his voice demanding answers.

Logan immediately moved back, while Alexander gnashed his teeth and turned away.

Seeing that none of them could answer him, President Anthony said sternly.

"This is a relaxation area. Not somewhere for solving disputes. If you feel like dueling, request permission from an instructor."

Apollo clicked his tongue. "Thanks for the brilliant idea, senior."

He then turned to Logan, "What do you think, dog? Do you want to duel me?"

Logan ground his teeth. "Fine. You asked for it."

The others were surprised, and Hazel realized she was too late to interfere..

’Logan will be defeated. I haven’t seen Apollo fight, but I can tell he’s very strong.’

Ariel thought quietly, his eyes narrowed. Without showing any emotional attachment, he followed behind the group as they headed to the Training Facility.

Apollo had already called his class instructor and the man was on his way. Walking ahead with a smug grin, he looked carefree.

’Although this damned Student Council President changed my plans, this is still okay. Demonstrating my strength should deal a psychological blow to these scummy brats.’

With the few students from Class-A accompanying them, they arrived at the Training Facility. Instructor Myke stood there with a leisurely smile.

When Apollo approached, he informed them that he had already gotten a dueling ring for them. With that same smile unbefitting of an instructor about to watch students beat each other, he led them to the ring.

While he was gearing up, Hazel approached Logan with a dark expression.

"You fool. Don’t you know this is a trap? You can’t beat him." She said angrily in a low voice.

Logan lowered his head, but he had a determined glint in his eyes.

"I know. But I just can’t stand him. Even if I can’t win, I’ll give him the toughest fight he has ever had!"

Hazel pressed a palm to her face, sighing in resignation.

"It’s too late anyway. Just do your best."

Saying this, she patted his shoulder and turned away. Logan stared at her back, slightly dazed.

’Hazel... I will. I’ll do my best... for you.’

Huffing, he felt a fire ignite in his chest. After changing into the training tracksuit, he stepped onto the stage. Apollo was already there, waiting.

Tink!

The limiter on his wrist clicked as it deactivated, and Logan could feel his access to essence being restored.

Apollo grinned ferociously, his hair flickering with purple lightning.

He slowly raised his hands, summoning a longsword into his grip.

Logan wasn’t daunted. He gritted his teeth and stepped forward. Two clawed gauntlets materialized around his hands while his muscles bulged and contracted—becoming denser and sturdier.

With the two duelists ready, Instructor Myke smiled and said.

"Begin."
