Entering Apocalypse in Easy-Mode-Chapter 462: Taking Shelter
Chapter 462: Taking Shelter
After what happened with Clyde and Asqa back then — after standing in the presence of that corrupted storm and feeling the weight of Clyde’s demands — Morvius had made his decision.
For now, he would play along. He would still act like a servant of order and a neutral guardian of balance. But in truth, he had chosen survival.
He would serve under Clyde’s rule until he could find a crack, a slip, or a way to find the traitor that had sold the information about this place to Clyde.
He wasn’t foolish. He knew Clyde was dangerous. But Asqa? That thing — whatever she truly was— was probably worse. Her petite and cute face is obscuring the cruelty in her eyes. It was as if she had some grudge for the higher realms.
Morvius had felt it. That ancient incomprehensible pressure pressing down on his soul when Clyde looking at him. It wasn’t loyalty that held Morvius in place under his order, it was fear.
So he crafted a script.
He already told all of this to the Bureau’s whole staffer and guards.
Then, only a handful of trusted World Masters were told the truth that Clyde had already breached the Bureau and they were now only pretending neutrality, pretending ignorance, and will choose to pretending loyalty to the higher beings hierarchy. While in fact it was all lies.
Their story was rehearsed. Their faces calm, voices even, and their postures werr natural.
Even now, as Zeus and Bael made their way deeper into the Observation Wing, the staffers attending them wore expressions of politeness.
Not one blinked too long or showed a hint of knowing things what they shouldn’t.
The staffer leading them, a pale woman in Bureau gray, pointed toward a central display. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
"The lower realms have not been deeply charted in recent cycles," she said smoothly. "But we will begin scans immediately, my lords. The anomaly’s presence should leave residual fluctuations and hopefully it was enough to search possible points in the lower world where they started."
Bael nodded curtly, watching her with crimson dark eyes. "And you’re saying this is the first time you’re doing this?"
"Yes, my lord," the staffer replied, bowing her head slightly. "Until now, there was no reason to suspect any direct breach from the mortal plane."
It was of course, a lie.
But she said it with such practiced confidence that even Zeus’s gaze moved on.
They were in the heart of the Bureau now. Crystal screens shimmered, charts of magic power flows and realm currents danced in glowing script.
Zeus stood in front of one, watching the shifting lines with furrowed brows. Bael crossed his arms and remained silent.
They were waiting and watching for the process.
Behind it all, Morvius watched from a concealed crystal link while seated in his office.
The feed was silent but his heart beat with every second. This game was deadly. He knew it. If either side caught his lie the Bureau would burn.
But for now?
He would feed Zeus and Bael what they needed and feed Clyde what he demanded.
And he would survive long enough to find the dagger to strike back.
He would reclaim control soon.

Clyde and Asqa opened their eyes in unison. The soft hum of ancient magic in the form of dark mist fading from the air around them.
The healing was complete. Their bodies were once again whole. Their skin smooth, muscles mended, and their blood flow steady. No trace of wounds remained.
But the exhaustion lingered beneath their eyes like shadows.
Asqa sat up first, her black hair falling around her shoulders as she exhaled softly.
"Tch... I still feel the fatigue even after killing those gods."
Clyde chuckled faintly, flexing his fingers, feeling the strength return in waves.
"Me too," he said with dry amusement. "I guess we still need rest after all."
Asqa’s gaze drifted to him. "Yes. I need rest. Real rest after all thos fighting."
He nodded. "You can. You should rest first."
She raised a brow. "You won’t?"
Clyde stood, stretching slowly as the dark markings along his arms faded beneath his skin. His eyes gleamed with quiet purpose.
"I still have something to do."
Asqa frowned, the fatigue in her voice laced with warning.
"What now? Don’t tell me you’re going to pick another fight with Celestials already."
"No," Clyde said calmly. "I’m going to find shelter."
Asqa blinked. "Shelter? For who?"
"For the ones who followed the Celestials we’ve Killed," he replied. "Their disciples, their soldiers, their mages. The followers that didn’t die with them."
She narrowed her eyes. "You want to shelter them here?"
Clyde chuckled. "No. Not here. I have a place in mind."
Asqa’s brow furrowed. "You always have a plan tucked somewhere. Where is this place?"
"I’ll tell you later," he said, stepping past her.
Asqa remained seated, her eyes following him. There was reluctance in her posture.
"You shouldn’t go alone," she said.
"Don’t worry I won’t fight," Clyde replied without looking back. "This isn’t about fighting. It’s about preservation. We must take them who lost their home. Just like what happened with us."
That earned a small, tired smile from her. "You’re starting to sound like a protector."
"I’m starting to understand that they are need some protecting after what happened."
She exhaled, giving up the argument. "Fine. But if you take too long, I’ll come looking."
He nodded once, then turned down the corridor.
Asqa rose slowly and made her way to her room. Her steps were light, but her weariness weighed down each breath.
She entered her space own bedroom and lay down on the bed.
Her eyes closed slowly. She don’t need long to finally falling asleep.
Clyde take his sword and then channeled his magic power into his amulet. He thinking about the Sivagadh Fortress and opened a portal there.
It felt like years since he touched that place after what happened and he knows why. Its all because of the battle he had been through that taken a toll to his body and mind.
The portal opened and Clyde stepped in.
