Ensnaring his Dark Moon-Chapter 182: Defire Kingdom
’’But...’’ Esme pulled back from the woman and walked towards the huge window in her bedchamber. She glanced at full moon as the white curtains swayed by the wind, ’’I saw something today. I had something...something like a vision.’’
Unbeknownst to Esme, Luciana stiffened, ’’A vision?"
’’A pair of blue eyes. They looked familiar and so beautiful, Lucy.’’
At this time, a white furry little thing ran inside the room before jumping into Esme’s arms, ’’Leo,’’ she smiled and hugged him.
Luciana left Leo and Esme alone and walked out of the room.
the beautiful glass walls, crystal pillars, shrubs and creepers climbing on them greeted her vision.
’’My Lady,’’ the men who were standing at the opaque glass door in front of Esme’s room bowed to her.
’’You did well,’’ she handed them a bag full of crystalsand jewelleries, ’’...If something happens to her again, make sure to look for me at time.’’
They nodded and bowed at her and she walked out of the beautiful castle situated on a huge piece of land in the middle of the sea.
She stood at the sea shore and glanced back at the Crystal Castle which was shimmering under the moonlight.
This was the Castle where the King of their Kingdom resided along with the heir to his throne... and now Esme was added into the mix.
Taking one last look at the castle, she stepped forward and jumped inside the sea with her hands high above her head. Her beautiful gown disappeared only for the shimmering green scales to appear on the intimate parts of her body as soon as it came in contact with the water, her long legs stuck together and tranformed into a green tail that slashed through the water.
Luciana did not stop swimming, her eyes turned red at the memory of the tear stricken Esme but she closed her eyes and twirled her body, dipping into the depths of the water. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
The small fishes grazing past her flinched and made a distance when they noticed her intensity that could kill them but she did not stop...not until her eyes met the sight of a sparkling kingdom in front of her.
Deep inside the sea, there was the huge Kingdom. Paths made of crystals and houses made of pearls, treasure chests full of gold and rubies strewn everywhere in the lush greenery of the water trees made the view more beautiful.
This was the Kingdom of the West, the magical Defire Kingdom that has been a mystery to every kingdom, every human.
They tried to trespass the boundaries only to be dragged inside the sea by the sea monsters, by the mer people and what was left of them were bones.
Neither did they survive nor were they ever capable of telling the outside world that the inhibants of the Defire Kingdom did not live in the grand manors that they thought. They lived inside the depth of the blue sea, studded with pearls and everything precious.
Only a few individuals stayed inside the Grand Crystal Castle where the King lived.
Luciana swimmed past a trail of houses, stopping in front of golden antique gates. The guards bowed at her, pressing their right fist on their left chest and the gates opened.
Luciana swimmed inside, taking a seat in the courtyard chair, lost in her thoughts.
’’What happened to her?"
Luciana stiffened when she heard the voice but she did not stand up from the chair.
Her father who was standing at a distance with her brother had his legs tranformed into a tail as he swam towards her followed by Lucian.
They took a seat on the opposite side of the table.
’’She had another nightmare,’’ Luciana said.
’’Oh, a guard informed me about your timely arrival there,’’ he said.
’’I was just passing by and happened to hear her screaming,’’ Luciana said, sounded uninterested about the topic, ’’She is a coward, nothing but a trouble. I think we should just let her go to wherever she wants. Keeping her here and in dark like this is just so troublesome.’’
’’Let her go? We didn’t put so much efforts to bring her here just to let her go,’’ Lucian said.
Marcus Norwell nodded, ’’Your brother is right. Trouble or not, she is not ours to look after. The King and that man won’t let her go,’’ he paused for a moment before adding, ’’She is just having some nightmares because what happened in the past still haunts her subconscious but she will never remember anything.’’
’’That night...’’ Lucian thought about the night when they brought Esme to the sea. It was a full moon night and the day where the mer people are at their weakest but at the same, it was the day when a half mermaid and half human like Esme would fully be able to tranform to her mermaid form and gain her powers once she stepped inside the sea.
She embraced her reality and walked inside the sea, not knowing that once she transformed into a mermaid, every memory of her on the land would be erased from her mind.
The water around her had sparkled and right at that moment, the strange beast, Leo had jumped inside the water with her during her transformation.
They thought he would die but he didn’t. Instead, he somehow absorbed some of the mer powers and the water around him sparkled the same way it did around Esme.
’’I believe even that beast lost his memories..’’ Lucian said.
Marcus sighed, ’’He is not a threat anymore. He lost his powers and size just around the time when his Master died,’’ As curious as he was about Leo who switched forms and was so strange but it was not his thing to be concerned about. Mysteries like those existed. Aleister was one. Esme is one and so is Leo, ’’So, even if he had memories, it’s not like he could talk to Esme about it.’’
