Dungeon Raider System-Chapter 366: The Hybrid Covenant
Deep within the megacity of Texas, in a place where prying eyes weren’t allowed and the light of day didn’t reach, a meeting was being held by a strange group of people, if they could even be called as such. An oak table adorned the center of the room, but it served no other purpose than creating some distance between them involved parties.
On one side was a bald man with gray skin, long filthy nails and profound black eyes. Escorting him was a muscular man with an odd shaped tattoo that showed on his neck and arms, like sharp tentacles griping to its prey. On the other side of the table there was a tall woman of brown skin and inusitated beauty, behind her stood a woman who seemed to be her identical twin.
"This is all your fault, you need to take responsibility. For every person we turn, we lose two of our members. I’m starting to regret rallying behind you..." The gray skinned bald man spoke with a voice that seemed to come from beyond the grave.
"It’s not like I could have anticipated an outcome like this. Do you even know how much I risked to give the signal? Even after a full meal I barely managed to defeat the guardian statue!"
"And you have the face to speak about food in my presence!? By the ancient laws you invoked, you are bound to offer tribute and I have yet to sate my thirst."
"Maybe if you didn’t sire so many of your kin. Besides, I did my part when I told you about that man. His vitality is at least on father’s level and if you had done as I said..."
"You don’t tell me what to do!" The man angrily shouted, then suddenly the woman’s face and body shifted into that of the gray man in front of her and she echoed his words.
"You don’t tell me what to do!"
"But I do." A mysterious figure walked in, followed by a woman with a crazed look on her face and drool dripping endlessly from her mouth.
"Who are you and why did you bring that foul creature to this sacred meeting!?"
"I answer to no one," The mysterious man spoke solemnly as he led the woman to sit on the table. Judging by her looks, it was as though she was completely oblivious to the conversation and all she cared about was...

"I-hunger." She stuttered as if she was enduring a painful torture. Her body twitched and she compulsively rocked herself on the chair forward and back until the mysterious man intervened by placing his hand on top of her head. She stopped moving on the spot and her eyes lost the manic spark they had just moments ago.
"How!? How can you control that creature!? Reveal yourself!" The gray skinned man, who was actually the horror level Nosferatu, commanded.
"My name is not relevant to you, all you should know is that I’m now in charge and if you don’t like it, I’ll just kill you and promote whatever that thing behind you is." The man addressed Mark, who now was anything but human.
After being turned into a vampire by the nosferatu became his vassal and was able to rise to the position of second in command of the vampire horde thanks to being possessed by the horror level eclipse. "Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t come all the way to this filthy place just to threaten you.
I’m here to deliver the ultimate solution to all your petty quarrels, all you need to do is to divide the city instead of fighting over it."
"Excuse me, my lord, but we don’t have a physical body and we can’t remain in control of the host’s body for long periods of time." Something spoke with Mark’s voice, but his mouth wasn’t moving.
"I know, that’s why eclipses will be allowed anywhere in the city, except for the west gate district which will belong to hunters. We can’t risk being exposed yet, but that will allow us to slowly weaken them without it being too obvious. The east district will be controled by shapeshifters, vampires will keep the north gate district.
Break my rules or disobey me and you will be wiped out of existence. Also, interrupt me again and I’ll make sure you long for such a fate." The sheen emitted from Sam’s golden eyes pierced the darkness of the room in a flash of light, leaving no space for any doubts. Challenging him was the same as disappearing from the face of the earth in an instant, or worse.
"That was... something." The woman muttered after Sam disappeared.
"I know that dude..." Mark still couldn’t believe Sam showed up to the Covenant like it was nothing.
"I’ve seen him before too." The shapeshifter woman added, though she wasn’t speaking about Sam. Because of her nature as a shapeshifter, she wasn’t fooled by appearances and she could tell Water warlock was inside Sam. It was only the second time she saw the ancient being, but she knew better than to challenge him. After all, Water warlock was the reason why she caused the dungeon break.
She knew that Water warlock could spell the doom of her kin, but she also knew that now that he found a more suitable body the window of opportunity to take care of him passed.
Mark left the chamber more confused than scared. The events that took place in front of his eyes were so absurd he was still trying to wrap his head around them when a cheerful voice snapped him back to reality.
"Sire!"
"Don’t bother me now..." Mark pushed the woman to the side.
"But, Sire! We finally did it! We found him!" Charlie’s eyes reflected the scarce light in an eerily joyful manner.
"Finally! I was starting to worry he had ran away from the city. Where is he?" Mark said with an evil grin on his face.
When Charlie escaped from the Pegasus with the intention to expose the Dungeron Raiders for Harboring a cryptid, she had the misfortune of bumping into Mark on the west gate and he didn’t miss the chance to turn her into a vampire and now she was her loyal servant, tasked solely with finding Uriel.
After the humiliation he suffered by his hands, there was no way Mark was letting ’Urinal’ get away with it.
"He’s living on the east gate slums." Charlie repied expecting to be praised, but Mark’s reaction differed from what she expected.
That district now belonged to the shapeshifters, which meant that the only thing he could do was to wait for Uriel to show up in the north gate district or risk the wrath of a being far more powerful than his Sire.
