Dumped A Scumbag At The Altar For A One Night Stand With A Billionaire-Chapter 149: His Bride
"After everything that happened between us last night, you can’t turn your back on me anymore. Have you forgotten how you kissed me last night, have you forgotten how you kept telling me that I was important to you? You slept with me Tristan!"
He stiffened as he heard that and Erica could tell her words had struck him in some way.
The incense might not have worked the way she wanted it to, but it had done something that left a loophole in his mind and she could take advantage of that.
"Tristan, your whole family must be waiting for us to get married. We can still make this work. After what happened last night, I might be carrying your child soon enough. Let’s go to the Blakewood estate to get married, after that we’ll figure out what to do about the contract." Erica suggested fervently.
All of a sudden, she heard a sharp cold chuckle escape his lips.
She stiffened, it wasn’t the reaction she expected from him.
"Carry my child? You’ve really become delusional. What did you think? I would feel guilty and marry you without the contract terms once you crawl into my bed and claim you will have my child?" Tristan queried, getting up, he tied the plain white sheets around his waist, then took slow threatening steps towards Erica.
"Ah!" Erica winced as Tristan suddenly grabbed her chin in his large hand, but she still had a triumphant glint in her eyes as if she had achieved what she wanted.
"If you want to be devious, do it when you have enough brains to successfully trick me. You think playing a few tricks will get me to sleep with you, or will your lies make me believe that I did?"
At his question, Erica looked visibly shocked. She quickly masked that shock by confidently saying, "What are you talking about Tristan? You slept with me last night, it might have been under the influence of an aphrodisiac and you might not remember much of it but you clearly told me that you enjoyed it with me because you love me!"
"If you didn’t know this already then let me tell you, Erica. I don’t love you. I never will, you’re not qualified enough to claim my affections, so what made you think I would believe you if you lied about it?"
She wasn’t qualified to have his affections? Then who was he reserving his affections for, that darned woman Celine?!
"You can’t do this to me Tristan, you just can’t! You and I made love last night, you slept with me!" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Tristan suddenly released her chin, tossing her aside with a force that sent her staggering a few steps backwards. He chuckled darkly,
"There’s something you have overlooked in your little plan." He strode to the other side of the room with a steady pace then turned back to look at her with a dark smirk on his lips, "I’m a man, don’t you think I would feel it if I actually slept with someone?"
Erica’s face went stiff, all her confidence visibly crashing down, dread flickering through her eyes.
"You overestimated yourself. I already told you more than once, not to cross the line. You disgust me, everything about you repulses me, no amount of potent drugs will make me want to touch you not to mention sleeping with you." He said as he flung a bathrobe to her, "Cover yourself, even your body is not enough to entice me."
Erica’s eyes reddened, she looked like she had just been slapped in the face by an invisible hand.
She didn’t want to believe it.
"I was supposed to be special, don’t tell me all this time you never looked at me like a woman even once."
"The fact that I didn’t even touch you last night should be an answer enough to your question." At those words she was once again rendered speechless, her shock and confusion showing in her eyes.
He wasn’t supposed to remember anything! He wasn’t supposed to remember so how did he know he didn’t even touch her last night?
She had always told herself that he wouldn’t touch her in the past because she was somewhat special, that meant he could fall in love with her someday or end up realizing his feelings. Even when he needed a woman to stand as his fake bride he had chosen her hadn’t he? She must have a place in his heart somewhere, she must mean something...but then last night, no matter how hard she’d tried, he continued to resist her even if he had been completely weakened, even when he had just been in a subconscious state he had still pushed her away.
He suddenly began to approach her, picking up her hand and lifted it up before he immediately pulled off the ring on her finger.
"No, that’s mine!" She yelled but that didn’t stop him from taking away the precious ring she had been holding onto for a while now.
"Get out, I never want to see you again. The contract is over." He uttered those blunt words and like a sharp knife they pierced into her heart.
"You need me remember? You need me to be your wife or you can never get your company back."
"You will never become my wife!" His words finally filled her with uncontrollable rage.
"Noo! You can’t do this to me!"
Tristan no longer deigned it necessary to say anything else to her, he had made himself clear. He wouldn’t marry her, and he would never have her by his side even as a fake wife.
He roughly grabbed her by the arm pulling her along, he didn’t care or stop as she stumbled repeatedly while he dragged her outside then harshly threw her out of the house.
Perhaps it had been his own fault, putting a ring on her finger must have given her illusions. He was shattering those illusions right now.
"Don’t let me ever see you again." He left that as a final warning to her.
This was him giving her mercy, the fact that he had let her get a glimpse of becoming his wife was his own part to play in her suddenly becoming willful enough to overstep the boundaries.
He had ignored the smallest signs, the way she constantly tried to come close to him and she had only managed to do this because he had let his guard down, but If she dared to approach him again, he would definitely show no mercy.
Erica sat outside on the cold floor where Tristan had left her unable to believe what just happened.
She had failed!
How had she failed in this when everything had been so sure...she had been so sure!
"Ma’am, please leave now or we’ll have no choice but to throw you out." A guard approached her. Surely Tristan must have blacklisted her from being allowed anywhere near his home now for the guard to speak to her so coldly. In the past even the guards knew her and she could come and go under the disguise of work...it seemed that was over now.
Her hands clenched into fists, her skin bleeding as it scraped against the floor.
The cold wind seeping into her skin made her look down on her body to find some parts of her body visible if it weren’t for the bathrobe he tossed to her earlier giving her some covering. She quickly pulled it around her body fully covering herself up.
’You humiliated me! Threw me out naked from your home!’
"But do you think I’ll just let you go easily?" She muttered to herself as the guards pulled her by the arms lifting her up to take her out. Since they had warned her, they weren’t being courteous anymore.
She never made a move without a backup plan, if she dared to break into his home just to do this, she had only definitely done it because she had another step to fall back on in case this failed.
Erica’s lips quirked upwards, even as the guards tossed her outside, the triumph in her eyes never faded away.
Several hours later she dragged her feet into the Williams household. A maid holding a tray to serve tea to their guests saw the sight and in shock the tray clanged to the floor.
"Madam, what happened to you?" The maid exclaimed looking at Erica as if she’d seen a ghost.
Erica walked with her eyes looking lost, bloody footprints were left in her trail with every step she took. She looked somewhat haggard, like someone who’d walked barefoot through a very long distance.
Erica said nothing until she reached where the maid stood, she stopped short and looked at the woman with dead eyes.
"My stylists, are they here yet?" She queried making the maid jolt out of her shock to reply.
"Y-yes, they arrived some minutes ago. Mr Williams has gone to the Blakewood estate, I received a call that the bridal car will be sent over three hours from now." The maid informed.
Today was Erica’s wedding day, she had invited several stylists and makeup professionals to get her ready for the event. The wedding dress had also been sent over last night and she had looked at it just before she took herself off to Tristan’s home. She thought today she would walk down the aisle with joy, who knew one perfect plan would crumble into nothing but dust.
"Make a call and tell them to send the bridal car right now, I’ll be ready in thirty minutes." Erica suddenly informed the maid who looked up at her even more astonished.
Whatever Erica did, she would take enough time. She spent more than four hours prepping for casual events in the elite circle not to mention her own wedding. The maid had assumed Erica would complain that three hours wasn’t enough time, but instead she wanted only thirty minutes?
"But madam, the wedding won’t start till another four hours, you have more than enough time to..." A glare silenced the woman, and it wasn’t just anger she saw in Erica’s eyes, it was a cold murderous intent.
"I... I’ll make the call right away." The maid hurried off, for everyone feared the open ruthlessness that lived in Erica’s heart.
She went up the stairs leaving bloody trails, dashing into her bedroom where the team of stylists and makeup artists were already waiting for her.
She appeared like a ghost in nothing but a bathrobe with messy hair and bloody feet, but a wide grin sat on her lips, one that made her look eerie and deadly.
"You all have thirty minutes to make me the most beautiful bride anyone has ever seen."
His bride...
