Dragged Into Another World Because of My Otaku Friend-Chapter 167: Preparation For Battle
Bob nodded as he got excited. "Now this is what we talking about."
We entered one of the nearest empty tents. Bob casually instructed one of the soldiers nearby to guard us while we were inside and not allow anyone else to enter. The guard was confused at first, but after seeing our guild badges, he said nothing and did what he was told.
Bob lay down on one of the leather beds while I lay on mine. It wasn’t very comfortable, but still bearable. I rested my head on the hard pillow and summoned the system. It felt like days since we last opened the system together to purchase packs.
The system hovered above us. Of course, only we could see it. If anyone else saw what we were doing, they would probably assume we were crazy.
"Alright, let us summarize our progress. Both of us are currently at Bond Level 6. My main weapon, [Indra], is at level 4, just one level away from a new skill. What about your swords?" I asked Bob.
"My [Gaia Sword] is already level 5. [Embersteel Sword] is at level 3. So, now our BP is at 17,000 plus. What do you want to buy, Alan? I can’t make a choice, dude." Bob was excited, vigorously scrolling through the screen.
"I understand, relax man. Let’s not hesitate and waste our Bond Points," I said, trying to calm him down.
I opened the [Shop] section and chose the [Booster Pack] category. We’ve been using this system for a few weeks already, but we still haven’t explored all the packs yet. So this time, I wanted to check them all.
At level 1, the starter or initial Booster Packs, we have:
[RISE OF HEROES]
[CHRONICLES OF POWER]
[RESOURCES OVERFLOW]
[THE CORE COLLECTION]
[ARCANE ESSENTIAL]
[THE FOUNDATION]
[BATTLE DOCTRINE]
[THE ADVENTURE’S ATLAS]
[UNIVERSAL ARSENAL]
[BASIC TOOLBOX]
Most of our pulls came from [Rise of Heroes] and [Chronicles of Power], and so far, it hasn’t been disappointing, although most of what we got are common and uncommon rarity.

[CREATURES COLLECTIVE]
[THE STEEL AGE]
[SPARK OF REBELLION]
[TRAIL OF LEGACY]
[OLDWORLD ARCHIVE]
[FORGOTTEN CACHE]
[SENTINEL RISING]
At level 4:

[ZEPHYR WRAITH]
[AVALANCHE FALLING]
[VERDANT WISH]
[LIGHTBOUND GRACE]
[SHADOW UNSEEN]
[NEUTRAL ENTITY]
[ELEMENTAL FUSION]
At level 5:
[WHISPER OF AWAKENING]

[BLADES AND BANNERS]
[FOUNDRY OF MIGHT]

[ECHOES OF FALLEN]
And finally, level 6:
[BLAZING WILDS]
[MYSTIC PULSE]
[GLACIAL ROAR]
[VENOM BURST]
[DEADLY STRIKE]
[TRIAL OF COURAGE]
[FRAGMENTED HOPE]
[LIMIT BREAKER]
[GUARDIAN OF THE PATH]
[MARK OF MARKSMAN]
---
My eyes started to tire reading all the names of the packs. So in total, we have 60 Booster Packs, the ones we unlock every time we level up. Besides that, we also obtained several special packs like [Oath of the Vengeance] and [Master of Combo].
"We really have a wide selection of packs, Bob. So, let’s just focus on these packs," I suggested.
Bob, however, had other plans. "But look at the promotion section, man. There are thousands of packs we’ve never seen before. And each of them has a discount," Bob said.
Indeed, in the [Promotion of the Day] section, the system listed many cards, packs, and decks that weren’t available in the default selections. But even with the discount, their prices were too expensive. Some had up to 90% off, but were still priced at 15,000 BP for 5 cards. That meant one card was approximately worth 3,000 Bond Points. That’s just too damn expensive.
"No! This time we need to follow my plan. We only purchase cards from the default packs we already have."
"But you said we could buy anything we want," Bob still protested.
I gave Bob a look, the kind parents give their misbehaving kids. No words needed, the message was clear.
"Alright, alright. Damn it. If only I could separate this system from him. There’s no freedom if I keep sticking with him," Bob muttered. He was addicted to pulling cards back in our previous world, and the feeling was divine when you got a super rare card.
"What?" I didn’t catch that.
"I said, which pack do you want to choose?" Bob lied.
"Hmmm. I think I’ll try choosing from the ones we unlocked at Level 6. They should have stronger and rarer cards than before. So, I pick [Limit Breaker]." I pressed on that pack. One thousand BP was deducted from our balance.
The pack was black and red, featuring a man erupting with raw energy on the cover. I tore open the strip, and five cards slipped out. Bob leaned forward, eyes full of anticipation.
Please, give us at least something that can help us against that masked man.
The first card gleamed green.

[Iron Maiden Buckler]
Rarity: Uncommon
Type: Shield
Stat: DEF + 20
Light but sturdy shield, useful for fighters with mobility.
---
The shield was round, silver in color, adorned with a simple yet sturdy diagram of a woman. Its design was minimalist but gave off an impression of resilience.
Not bad for the first pull. This shield could definitely help me as I’ve been lacking in defensive equipment.
Second card. Another green one.
---
[Glass Glasses]
Rarity: Uncommon
Type: Accessory
Accuracy : + 50 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Glasses made of... glass. It increase precision and accuracy, and at the same time, make the user look cool and socially acceptable.
---
I squinted at the description, baffled.
"What kind of naming sense is this? And ’socially acceptable’? Is this glasses is actually for nerds?" I muttered.
Bob, meanwhile, was laughing uncontrollably after reading the card.
"The guy who made this card must have a great sense of humor. I love it!" He kept chuckling.
Ignoring him, I flipped to the next card.
This time, it was blue.
