Liam gazed at his profile with a rare smile, astonished by the sudden surge in his stats. "I never thought I'd see the day... my stats actually increased!" He had all but given up hope, convinced that his previous stats were as good as it would get, no matter how hard he trained. But now, his stats had skyrocketed, leaving him stunned and elated.
As he stood up, the firefly-like lights resumed their movement, guiding him forward. "Haaa... I guess that's enough rest," Liam mumbled, following the lights once more.
Deep within the dungeon, a foreboding chamber shrouded in darkness housed a gigantic goblin. Seated upon a gruesome throne crafted from the skeletal remains of unknown creatures – possibly human – the goblin's massive frame seemed to fill the room.
"Hmm? Someone is slaughtering my kin?" The goblin's voice boomed, its tone a sickening blend of malice and amusement. The air was heavy with malevolence as it burst into a cacophonous cackle, the sound grating on the nerves.
"I'll claim their head soon enough!" The goblin's eyes gleamed with an eerie purple light, illuminating the dark room as its maniacal laughter continued to echo.
Meanwhile, Liam remained unaware of the gigantic goblin. His attention was focused on the daunting challenge before him. Two colossal goblins, towering over their kin, stood menacingly in his path.
"Huff, huff... I knew this would be tough, but not this bad," Liam panted, his eyes locked onto the gargantuan creatures. Their predatory gazes seemed to pierce through him, and their sadistic laughter sent shivers down his spine.
Liam's resolve wavered as he confronted the two colossal goblins. Their enormous size was intimidating enough, but the magical energy emanating from their bodies was equivalent to that of novice C-rank hunters. "This is supposed to be a D-rank dungeon, right?" Liam's confusion was palpable.

He dodged the goblins' slow but crushing mace swings, his agility and quick reflexes allowing him to avoid the attacks. Gripping his dagger tightly, Liam advanced with calculated steps, his rigorous training from a young age paying off.
With a swift motion, Liam struck the goblin's skin with a precise slash. However, his dagger barely left a scratch, and the goblin's thick hide seemed to absorb the impact. Undeterred, Liam continued his relentless assault, striking the goblin with a flurry of swift and precise blows.
The Goblin who was being assulted by Liam persistently couldn't help but be annoyed as it tried to catch Liam with it's mace but failed to do so due to how slow it was.
The goblin's annoyance turned to fury as it swatted Liam aside like an insect. Liam's body crashed into the dungeon wall, the impact sending shockwaves through his frame.

Liam was all too familiar with these ominous messages. He ignored the warnings, gritting his teeth as he forced his battered body to stand. His mind racing, Liam couldn't help but wonder why he persisted in the face of such overwhelming odds. The goblins were monstrous, their strength and resilience far beyond his own.
Yet, despite the futility of his situation, Liam refused to yield. His determination burned brighter with each passing moment, driving him to confront the goblins once more. But why? Even Liam himself couldn't provide an answer.
Liam's gaze locked onto the dagger in his hand, his mind racing with a desperate plan. He silently pleaded for it to work as he focused on sensing the Mana flowing through his body. In this world, every human was born with Mana, regardless of their profession or abilities. Even those with minimal Mana still possessed it, as it was essential for survival.
Controlling Mana was a different story. While warriors could utilize Mana to some extent, they were far from mastering it like mages, who possessed natural control and a deep understanding of Mana manipulation.
The goblins watched Liam with curiosity, sensing that he was attempting something, but unsure what it was. They decided to let him continue, amused by his futile efforts. After all, his fate was already sealed – he would die, no matter what he tried.
With a deep breath, Liam attempted to control the Mana flowing through his body, trying to direct it into the dagger. His hands trembled slightly as he concentrated, the goblins' mocking gazes only fueling his determination.
As Liam's Mana flowed into the dagger, the air around him seemed to charged with anticipation. The dagger's metal surface began to glow, radiating a deep blue hue that signaled the presence of Mana. The light enveloped the entire blade, casting an ethereal glow on the surrounding environment.
"Now let's try this again..." Liam muttered, gripping his dagger tightly as he charged towards the goblins. However, his momentum was abruptly halted by a stabbing sensation in his abdomen, followed by an excruciating pain that left him breathless.

"Shit! Why now?!" Liam cursed, his vision blurring as he struggled to maintain his balance. He swayed precariously, desperate not to collapse onto the cold, unforgiving floor.
Gritting his teeth, Liam summoned every last ounce of strength and charged towards the goblins, his eyes blazing with a fierce determination.
Liam sprinted towards the gigantic goblins, leaving a trail of blood in his wake. The goblins retaliated with a powerful swing of their massive mace. Liam dodged by leaping to the side, but the sudden movement exacerbated his wound, sending a jolt of agony through his body. He gritted his teeth, bearing the pain.
Reaching the goblin's legs, Liam swiftly struck the Achilles tendon of its left leg, inflicting a deep and debilitating wound. The goblin let out a pained grunt, "Krrr!" as it instinctively reached for its injured leg.
Seizing the opportunity, Liam aimed a deadly strike at the goblin's head. However, the goblin blocked the attack with its arm, taking a deep slash cut in the process. The wound was severe, but the goblin's thick hide and brute strength allowed it to withstand the blow.
The goblin's face contorted in rage as it removed its hand, revealing eyes blazing with a fierce bloodlust. Liam, undaunted, goaded the creature, "Angry, huh? Come get me, you bastard!"
With a fierce battle cry, Liam unleashed a relentless flurry of slashes, striking the goblin's body with precision and deadliness. The assault lasted for five grueling minutes, the sound of clashing steel and the goblin's pained roars echoing through the chamber.
Finally, Liam stepped back, breathing heavily, and surveyed his handiwork. The goblin's body was a canvas of deep gashes and cuts, its green blood oozing from the wounds like a macabre painting. Liam's Mana-coated dagger had performed admirably, its power and durability exceeding his expectations.
A normal weapon would have shattered or cracked under the strain of injuring a D-rank creature, but Liam's dagger had withstood the punishment. Its unexpected resilience sparked a mixture of curiosity and excitement within Liam.
Behind the battered goblin, its kin stood motionless, its expression twisted into a disturbing grin. It seemed to be savoring the moment, rather than aiding its struggling companion.
The bloodied goblin let out a chilling scream, its body enveloped by a dark red aura. An intense pressure emanated from it, making the air feel heavy and oppressive. Liam's instincts screamed at him to act.
"Shit, I think I have to do it now..." Liam thought, gripping his dagger tightly.
With a burst of speed, Liam sprinted towards the goblin. But instead of attacking, he dodged past it, leaving the creature stunned and confused. The goblin's aura faltered, and it stared at Liam with a dumbfounded expression.
Liam took advantage of the momentary distraction. "Tsk, although I'm not a fan of that saying, but run away and live to fight another day!" he yelled back at the goblins.
With that, Liam turned and sprinted away, the firefly-like light guiding him through the winding tunnel. The goblins gave chase, their thunderous roars echoing off the walls as they pursued Liam into the darkness.
