Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 137: Proof
"Who are you? And what does that have to do with me? Get out of my way. Don’t make me say it a third time!"
Tristan Grayson’s words made Rowan Ross’s body tremble violently, and she took a frightened step back.
Tristan Grayson left without so much as a glance, walking straight out the door.
Watching Tristan Grayson’s departing figure, Rowan Ross stomped her foot in frustration. Biting her lip, she mumbled through a sob, "How did it come to this? Tristan was never like this before."
Inside a suite at Siren’s Night.
A full half hour had passed since she called Cassian Jennings, and Gia Miller had spent the entire time sitting on the floor in a daze.
Perhaps it was the cold floor, or perhaps it was the thought of Cassian Jennings’s imminent arrival, but Gia Miller finally snapped out of it. She glanced at her phone before getting to her feet.
She walked into the bathroom and stared at the marks covering her body, her eyes devoid of any emotion...
The last two times Amelia Avery had humiliated her, she had neither fought back nor said a word in her defense, because Cassian Jennings had never been her target.
The only reason she hung out with Cassian Jennings every day was to get closer to the man she loved, to bridge the distance between them...
’Back then, she’d thought Amelia Avery was both ridiculous and pathetic. What did a child, spoiled by her family, know about love? All she did was chase after Cassian Jennings relentlessly.’
’But now, she was the one who felt ridiculous, having been played for a fool by a seventeen-year-old girl.’
’Just like that, Amelia Avery had snuffed out her dream of being with the man she loved. Now, in this lifetime, she could never be with Tristan Grayson...’
She turned on the shower and began to scrub her body, trying desperately to wipe away the marks, but the more she scrubbed, the redder her skin became. They wouldn’t disappear. They would never, ever disappear...
She scrubbed and scrubbed, stopping only when she heard the doorbell ring. She pulled back her reddened hands, turned off the shower, and walked out of the bathroom to open the door.
The moment she opened the door, the already grim expression on Cassian Jennings’s face darkened even further. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
He hastily shrugged off his jacket, wrapped it around Gia Miller, and pushed her to the side. He then quickly entered and shut the door.
"What’s the point? Anyone who was going to see has already seen." Gia Miller looked at Cassian Jennings’s reaction and let out a self-mocking laugh, pushing the jacket he had draped over her to the floor.
Cassian Jennings was taken aback by her bold move. He awkwardly averted his gaze, lowered his head slightly, and said in a hoarse voice, "Gia, I’m sorry. I’m the one who got you into this. Don’t worry, I’ll take responsibility for you."
"Heh... Cassian Jennings... You’re damn right you’re sorry for what you did to me..." ’If it weren’t for Cassian, she never would have been targeted by Amelia.’
"I will take responsibility for this."
Gia Miller suddenly took a step forward and said with a mocking laugh, "Take responsibility? Fine. Then prove it. I want to be your woman."
"Gia..." Cassian Jennings looked up in shock.
"Do you think I’m dirty, too...?" ’Even the city’s most notorious playboy won’t touch her. What hope did that leave for her with the man she actually loved?’
He cut her off in a panic, "No, I don’t think that at all."
Gia Miller took another step toward him, her voice aggressive. "Then take me."
"You’re exhausted. Let’s talk about this another day." Cassian Jennings simply bent down, picked up the jacket from the floor, and draped it over her shoulders again, his voice weary.
Gia Miller knew he was rejecting her, but she couldn’t just let it go. Tears instantly flooded her eyes. She grabbed Cassian Jennings’s arm, her voice trembling as she screamed, "Take me! Prove you mean it! You’re a liar, Cassian Jennings! You’re disgusted by me, aren’t you?"
