Chapter 1904: Chapter 1905: Homeward Journey

"It seems only you can handle this thing, but why did it appear here?"

Veronia asked, looking at Feng Yuan in confusion. Although everyone had learned about this thing’s origins, none of them expected it to have such a significant background.

Reconstructing the present world, that’s a unique power belonging solely to the Yin World, and it’s even conducted above the Time River. It’s something none of them, the Divine Beasts, could achieve. However, it was strange because, with such mighty power, why would it end up like this?

"I don’t know, but these are the issues brought by various unforeseen occurrences. No matter how accurate the restoration, there will always be slight differences, which could even lead to unexpected events, like this incident. Perhaps, it’s the price of a miracle..."

Looking at the Crimson Gem, Feng Yuan commented as he began to figure out a way to replenish its energy. Although the Crimson Gem was only fist-sized, the power within it, in Feng Yuan’s eyes, could probably rival Agunas’s total energy.

This is also the reason why the Abnormal Space was suppressed by it. Regardless of energy level or quantity, this thing far exceeds the Abnormal Space itself.

Of course, this is still the Crimson Gem with its energy almost depleted. Feng Yuan estimated that its original power might not be less than Xilnais’s, as it is the remnant manifestation of Yin World’s power, even a trace is far stronger than Xilnais, being a Guardian.

The only trouble now is that Feng Yuan has to find a way to supplement it with corresponding energy. Thinking this, Feng Yuan was not polite. Incidentally, Shi and Xilnaes were outside, so even if this gem was on the brink of collapse, Feng Yuan intended to control it, leaving a space passage in the Abnormal Space to transfer energy.

Outside the Abnormal Space, Shi and Xilnaes were guarding high in the sky. Suddenly, they each began to act, projecting the Yin World upon this world once more. As Gitalien and others wondered what these two Guardians intended to do, the shadow of the Yin World in the sky began to change.

An ancient Stone Monument Forest appeared in the sky, with unique energy surging on it. The powerful force, seemingly belonging to no attribute yet every attribute, startled the onlookers.

Nobody knew what the two terrifying Guardians were up to, and neither Shi nor Xilnaes would offer any explanation. They wandered the skies, channeling the vast energy to penetrate the barriers of two worlds, directing that force through a pipe-like space passage to the core region.

"This is..."

Yang Hongzhi, shocked by the special energy slowly emerging from the narrow space passage, instinctively took a few steps back. This thing felt like facing an entire world to him.

Xiao Hei crouched and whimpered warnings at the energy, but Feng Yuan disregarded everyone’s reactions. That special energy was injected into the Crimson Gem. Despite how powerful and terrifying the energy seemed, the small gem absorbed it furiously, like an endless black hole.

As the energy was injected, the Crimson Gem gradually changed color. The red began to fade, and the chaotic darkness slowly took over, transforming the gem within a few minutes entirely.

Instead of turning black, the Crimson Gem became obsidian due to the mixing of all colors. Staring at the gem, one could see any color they could imagine. But when the colors mixed, it appeared as a silent black.

That black was not an absence but encompassed nearly every existing darkness.

"Phew~ Finally, the most challenging step is done..."

Seeing the unique darkness filling the gem, Feng Yuan exhaled a long breath, genuinely fearing an unexpected mishap with this thing.

Without explanation, Feng Yuan stepped forward, grabbing the gem with his right hand and closing his eyes, holding the pitch-black Ancient Book in his left hand, chanting softly. Waves of special energy rippled across the entire Abnormal Space.

"Such powerful energy..."

Tamur looked around in confusion. He had sheltered numerous schools and academies, yet suddenly sensed an irresistible force attempting to penetrate his era’s protections.

That force carried an undeniable intent, making the Mythical Era Projection surrounding the school disappear upon contact. Swept by that force, the entire school vanished before him.

Intending to intervene, Tamur stopped as he recalled something, halting the era’s descent. That force, unstoppable, swept through the whole Abnormal Space, making everything and everyone accidentally caught there vanish.

The dreamlike world of Tashimar, born of Luo Xiaoxiao, slowly began to collapse, and the entire Abnormal Space started to shrink inwardly.

The lament of the whales echoed continuously, but to everyone, it wasn’t a lament of sadness or fear of vanishing but rather a farewell.

"Who would’ve thought... there existed such an entity with similar intelligence, but alas..."

Veronia listened to the whales’ lament and discerned much, but unfortunately, these whales couldn’t escape their inevitable demise. Yet, she heard not much sadness from their cries.

Rather than lamenting, the whales’ cries sounded more like expressions of reluctance, unable to take one last look at this world.

As the school returned, the gem began to shrink, and eventually, the darkness retreated, turning it back to dark red.

"What’s the matter? Did something happen?"

Veronia asked, puzzled at Feng Yuan. He seemed not to breathe a sigh of relief but instead looked heavily at the gem in his hand. With a sigh, Feng Yuan said helplessly,

"Many still died..."

Even if they died within this unique Abnormal Space, death was still death. Such a significant event, Feng Yuan couldn’t negate the occurrence of death on the temporal layer. As for reviving them?

This gem lacked such power. Although it might reconstruct worlds, it still carried significant limitations; at least, resurrecting the deceased was impossible.

Upon hearing Feng Yuan’s words, everyone lowered their heads, fully aware of what Feng Yuan meant after the long exploration they had undergone. Although Luo Xiaoxiao tearfully apologized repeatedly, and Yang Hongzhi knew Luo Xiaoxiao wasn’t entirely to blame, at that moment, he couldn’t find comforting words to say.

"Let’s go... this Abnormal Space is about to utterly collapse. All things and people unexpectedly pulled in have been returned to their original positions, but..."

With a complicated look at Luo Xiaoxiao, Feng Yuan said quietly, whether intentional or not, the matter had happened, and she would inevitably face punishment.

The pink whales continued to lament, though everyone understood they were merely bidding farewell and comforting the people. Yet their cries resonated deeply with everyone’s Mental State.

They walked in silence without utterance, even Luo Xiaoxiao kept her head down without speaking. She held no notions of evading her culpability, foreseeing someone getting hurt.

If not for this, Luo Xiaoxiao wouldn’t have resisted Ji Wenchang’s presence in her heart, even though she vaguely wished he could witness the Sea of Hope with her...

A sky as fractured as shattered glass revealed a rainbow dome, yet it didn’t entirely dispel the dreamlike fairytale of the Sea of Hope. Luminous stone steps extended from Feng Yuan’s feet towards the outside of the Abnormal Space, with everyone following him, leaving the collapsing space.

The Crimson Gem, shrunken to the size of a grain of rice, reverted to black. Feng Yuan held it, intending to retain evidence that at least proved Luo Xiaoxiao’s actions weren’t largely malicious.

As for how the Alliance would punish her, Feng Yuan couldn’t concern himself with it; after all, Luo Xiaoxiao caused too big of a mess this time.

Silently, everyone followed the stone steps out of the Abnormal Space. Despite the ever-extending spatial cracks, the pink whales showed no fear. As Feng Yuan and his party vanished at the edge of the Abnormal Space, their lament gradually ceased.

The continuously collapsing Abnormal Space inflicted considerable damage on several Domains. However, compared to its impact on the Domains, the fallout from the event posed the more significant issue.

Back at the academy, witnessing Yang Hongzhi and Najia leave in advance, Feng Yuan shook his head helplessly.
