Demon Lord: Erotic Adventure in Another World-Chapter 760: Dragon Slayer Vs ??????????
The man who lost his family, home, and his dear lover at once began to train like a madman; he swung his sword until his palms bled, then used a potion to heal those wounds, only to swing again.
Hours became days.
Days became Weeks.
Until he collapsed, the man did not sleep.
All for a single purpose, the man trained, fought and endured his bitter and cold heart for ten years before finally he learned of the enemy.
The true foe he must kill.
A dragon.
----
Serena's eyes locked onto the centre of a huge crater.
Inside the crater, a mediocre-looking male stood with his sword lifted vertically in the air, and pierced by the blade was a black, bloody figure.
Her limbs dangled without power, her eyes closed—blood poured from the multiple wounds that poked from between her broken scales.
"Ah..."
The second thing Serena noticed was the man's missing arm, as if something had bitten and torn it off the stump, oozing a silver-gold blood.
"This isn't right."
Serena's voice repeated itself as if in a trance.
She muttered and mumbled while digging her sharp nails into her palms, and despite drawing blood, she continued to scratch and gouge the wounds.
The stars vanished
The moon turned blood-red.
Her body became devoured by the darkness.
Serena's heart no longer ached; it shattered into pieces as she watched the man swing his blade, which tossed the body to the side.
When Velvet bounced before remaining, she lay on her side in the crater, with her knees and arm slightly bent.
All that remained was rage.
'I can't let him see this form.'
'It's okay, he cannot see this form, he's inside.'
The dark, filthy emotions in her heart leaked, whispering and mocking Serena; she didn't want to show this side of her. When she fought Asmodeus, Serena always managed to keep herself half-sane to hide the dirty and monstrous form she had.
Her bones cracked, deformed and slowly her body changed shape in the darkness.
A sticky ooze dripped from her form as she stepped forward.
Red eyes, long black hair down to her ankles and sharp, elongated teeth, her clawed hands blending in with the darkness, as her ten black tails fluttered in the sky, with Abyssal energy leaking from the tips.
This form wasn't pure.
It was evil.
Yes, this was something she didn't tell Asmodeus when she regained her powers. Because of their copulation and deep bond, her divine body and blood became completely mixed with his newly found Death and Abyssal Energies and blood.
And something deeply hidden inside her awoke from its long slumber.
The change was so great that her new title became the Profane Evil Goddess of Lunacy.
Hence, her recent instability and insanity.
.
.
.
The world turned red.
Serena's heart pounded inside her chest, and yet she remained calm. She watched the male across from her with a calm expression, yet inside she screamed and howled about revenge, tearing him apart like the insect he was.
"Who are you?"
"Me?" He replied.
She didn't speak again.
Instead, she lifted her foot to take a step, and her body teleported to where Velvet lay. The movement was so smooth and rapid that barely an instant passed. It was the pinnacle of Divine Aura, with a breath she could move up to ten metres.
With a glance at the wounded body of her sister, she closed her eyes and waved her hand over the dragoness.
Vwoom~
A silver aura encased Velvet.
The soft light resembled the moon as it healed her burning wounds and torn flesh.
Even the heart punctured by sacred fire.
"So, was it fun hunting someone weaker than you, with such cruel means, dragon slayer?"
"Eh?"
This time, she watched with a smirk as Drei's brows furrowed, his eyes wide with pupils darting from side to side. She knew his tale, the story of a man who lost everything and instead swore revenge, spending hundreds of years seeking revenge.
"Y-You! Who are you?!" He growled, lifting both swords and taking a defensive stance.
"I am the mother of all darkness, the personification of the twin moons. Call me Serena, the wife of the Demon God and the woman who shall end your life."
In this form, Serena's heart remained calm despite the intense rage in her mind and the tingling ache of her skin after seeing Velvet in that state.
'Kill them all.'
'Wipe out their filthy race!'
'They dared to raise their blade and challenge our beloved!'
Dozens of voices, all Serena's with different pitches, tones and styles. As if countless versions of her existed in a plethora of timelines, like a multiverse, all shouting and speaking with the current Serena as their conduit.
"Y-You... why are you here?!" Drei's voice sounded strange. When facing powerful enemies, he would be absolutely confident as a dragon slayer and an Arbiter.
Yet, when she revealed herself, he faltered.
However, Ein and Zwei didn't show this response to her.
Suddenly, she vanished again.
Before appearing within arm's reach of Drei and opening her mouth, an eerie and broken voice left her lips as if a curse.
"I watched my beloved die, hundreds, thousands of times, locked in a time loop, expended thousands of years of my life force to keep him alive. To keep trying, becoming insane enough to lose all sense of focus."
"I understand your sorrows and the reason you sought that power. Child."
She lifted each of her tails into the air, the tips glowing white with a luminous glow as immense amounts of energy gathered into them. Her abilities evolved explosively after the fight with Asmodeus.
Her defeat brought countless realisations.
The biggest was how she didn't need to manifest those illusory moons at the tip of her tails, but inside them.
This change boosted the speed at which she could gather, focus, condense and move the Aura within her body, directly from the surroundings and her core simultaneously.
"However, you've done something irredeemable, child."
Drei grabbed his swords and leapt back, his face instantly turning pale white as small golden cracks appeared.
"Oh, your combat form?" Serena twisted her lips into a sneer. "I've seen a much more impressive and deplorable version." Her mind filled with thousands of images of Ein, the way she attacked and humiliated her.
"Will you not kneel and accept your fate quietly, child?"
"Never!"
Drei's shout echoed through the night as he glanced at the healing Velvet. His throat sounded, swallowing at the sight of her heart regenerating.
"How did you nullify my sacred flames?!" He asked while lowering his hips, pointing his leading sword at Serena's chest, the other held backwards, ready to slash her.
Serena just tilted her head; her feet no longer touched the floor as she hovered in the air like a true goddess. Her eyes lacked emotion as the two blood streaks leaked down her cheeks, creating an eerie yet divinely beautiful image.
Much like the pale white armour of the Arbiter, a pale exoskeletal armour grew over her skin, hiding her bleeding eyes with a cute fox mask.
"Do you think I look good? It's something my husband gave me!" Her voice sounded excited, but the mask distorted the tone slightly, before her pitch dropped into a demonic tone as she continued. "After he died ten thousand times, finally, he managed to survive!"
.
.
.
Drei's body trembled, almost freezing on the spot.
He'd only felt this once.
When fighting against a true god, those are only a step below his master, his creator.
'This can't be! All the true gods died! How is this woman still here? When and where did she hide herself!?'
From her speech, he knew this woman's true identity, her role, and previous stance—the goddess of the moon, she who ruled over darkness and night.
A goddess who once opposed his master, a woman who should be dead
"How are you here!" He grumbled, struggling to speak through his teeth.
However, the captivating goddess just laughed, before vanishing and appearing beside his face, her finger pointing at his mouth. "Be silent!"
VWOOM!
A mass of divine Aura exploded inside his mouth.
The force burst out, destroying his tongue and his lower jaw instantly.
His mind blanked out as he tried to breathe but struggled. While glaring at the woman's mask, he swung his sword the moment the magic detonated, yet her figure dissolved into dozens of silver moths.
A soft voice asked as if it was a mother concerned for their son.
"That looks painful, did it hurt?"
"Haagh!"
Drei slashed where the voice came from diagonally above him, with his tongue hanging out yet, only cut the air as another low rumble sounded from behind him.
"This thing is dangerous."
And then she stood in front of him, her fingertips holding his sacred blade with her finger and thumb while tilting her head.
"Is this what hurt my cute little Velvet?"
"Did you know how much that girl suffered to reach her current state? How many times she failed and died without a single soul to lament her failures?"
"!!!"
Drei didn't know how he could know what a god knew?!
But he couldn't speak, let alone shout.
This monster that stood opposite him shouldn't exist, but what could he do, the Arbiter's were pawns created to serve the creator and the true gods.
"I want this." She said, pulling on the sacred sword.
"Argh..." his wounds slowly healed, but the moment the dainty-looking fox woman pulled on his sword, he felt a painful tear as his shoulder dislocated and the flesh of his arm tore. In the next motion, she vanished and reappeared a few metres away, holding his arm.
"I got it!"
"Ahhhh....." Drei's brain screamed, his body trembled as he entered shock.
Arbiters weren't gods; their divine Aura was finite, something they restored by visiting the divine palace and meeting the creator, who changed them. The battle with Velvet drained most of his divine Aura. A monster that could devour his Aura with a touch appeared.
'Wait...'
His jaw rapidly repaired, as did his tongue.
Something flashed in his memory, a distant memory when he heard the creator speak about his nemesis in the past. That's when he suddenly realised something was wrong, because no matter how strong, a god could never absorb another's divine Aura.
"Y-You devoured Aura..... Are you an Ab——?!"
Instantly, the air changed.
Her eyes transformed into something inhuman behind the mask
"Oh no..."
"You know?"
"He knows!"
"It knows!"
Four distorted voices sounded in unison, all the same woman but strikingly different, like an abomination speaking in synchronisation.
Then she vanished again.
"Hrrrrk!?"
A painful fire spread through his chest.
Drei's heart stopped.
No...
He looked down.
Her hand held his sword.
The blade pierced through his chest.
Serena's atmosphere fluctuated as she let go of the blade; her body shuddered as if unable to endure the strain of her current form, and the black ink started to dissipate.
But her lips slowly whispered to the dying Arbiter.
"An Eye for an Eye!"
"A tooth for a tooth!"
"An end to a nosy little know-it-all."
