Demon Lord: Erotic Adventure in Another World-Chapter 759: A Difficult Battle!
There once existed a man who dedicated all his life to the sword, with a single and earnest wish. That wish stemmed from his tragic upbringing, a small villager who could never imagine he’d one day reach the pinnacle of strength.
---
Velvet’s pupils shrank the moment she saw Zwei’s blades and instinctively raised both arms to block the blow.
"Hah!" Zwei sneered with a deformed grin.
Clang!
At first, sparks shone from her black and violet dragon scales, holding her hands tight as she poured energy into her muscles. Velvet’s body visibly swelled as she gathered as much strength as possible in her upper thighs, as she clenched her tight buttocks.
"Cocky, bastard!"
’His aura is like a damn saw!"
"Worthless, Lizard."
Velvet’s eyes narrowed, angered by his sneer. Noone could insult, tease or mock her, but her husband. She couldn’t stand such a thing and immediately thrust up against the heavy blades with both arms.
His golden aura sank into her scales with a low crack.
Small slits spread across her claws and arms, and blood poured from the broken shards.
"Tsk!"
But Velvet used this momentary lapse in pressure to counterattack; her muscles tightened before explosively pushing off the ground with her feet and tail. Her body shot towards the airborne Zwei and smashed his jaw with her left fist, performing an uppercut.
Thud!
Zwei’s body flipped backwards, his expression cold as the corner of his lips oozed with a silver-gold blood.
Velvet’s arms hissed with steam as something burned from within.
’Damn it, what the hell are those swords?!’
She gripped her right arm tight enough to crush the broken scales, revealing her pale skin covered in wounds and a faint black ichor that leaked from her pores.
But there wasn’t enough to check or heal her wounds, so she just gathered energy before swinging both arms down, which created a fresh set of scales that covered the bloodied arms.
’The burning hasn’t gone away, it’s like bullet ants constantly biting me.’
"Bitch, how dare you?"
Zwei’s head leaned to the side as he wiped away the sticky blood from his lips. Yet, instead of inflicting damage, it appeared her attack merely pissed him off.
He watched Velvet with an icy gaze before vanishing again.
Velvet saw it this time.
The moment he pushed off the floor, his aura condensed into a tiny force beneath his feet, sending his body flying at her like an arrow.
She lowered her hips, gathering her aura and securing her centre of gravity by using her tail as an anchor in the ground. Without time to breathe twice, his body appeared beside her, slicing at her throat, with a fierce, distorted expression.
Velvet swallowed as she lifted her right knee into the air; the sharp scales of her knee formed a blade-like appendage.
Clang!
Silver light sparked from the blow, her black scales sliced in half, but she was deflecting his blow enough for her to adjust and keep moving.
Swish!
Slash!
Vwoosh!
Zwei’s swordsmanship resembled a dance. He slashed using his left sword and forced her to dodge, then followed up with his right blade, slicing where she moved.
Velvet’s body twisted, and turned her upper body leaning back as she slid across the desert sands, using her tail to pivot and pull herself away from the incoming attacks.
In between his attacks, she lunged forward and dealt several blows with her massive clawed fists. Each time she hit, his light figure would lift off the floor, letting out a grunt of pain, yet when she became too greedy, his swords instantly countered, cutting through the scales on her chest, almost slicing off her breasts.
The pair engaged in dozens, hundreds, almost thousands of movements, as the wounds on Zwei’s face and scars across Velvet’s scales increased one by one.
.
.
.
Boom!
"Haa...Haa...Haa..."
Velvet’s rough voice leaked through her dragon helmet, her bloodshot eyes glaring at the easygoing Zwei who stood four metres away, twirling his swords with a smile.
"Is this all you have?" His voice carried a tone of mockery as his lips curved upward.
’This damned freak!’
’No matter how many times I hit him, his wounds just heal a second later!’
But Velvet...
She couldn’t help but spit on the floor, a mixture of blood and saliva sizzling on the sand as she returned her gaze to the Arbiter.
’Why does it burn?’
Ever since the first blow broke her scales, a burning agony ate away at her body. Each second that passed, the pain sank deeper. At first, it was flesh level; now her bones and organs started to cramp and tighten as the searing heat rapidly grew inside her.
"Fuck!"
Velvet cursed, angry that she couldn’t defeat this man. She’d trained and trained to the limits after losing to him, wanting to prove herself to Asmodeus. Yet, her body betrayed her; this ache not only inflicted pain, but when she tried to circulate her aura, it acted like a barrier, slowing and sometimes blocking the flow completely.
’My right arm is almost useless now.’
’I cannot defeat him with swordsmanship.’
Thanks to her unique blood, she could convert her special weapon from a greatsword to a spear or even a shield. After a short spar using her claws and fists, she knew her speed and accuracy were higher, but she definitely couldn’t match his skill.
’Come!’
With a flick of her right arm, a black spear made of dragon scales formed in mid-air. As she gripped the shaft, she lowered her hips, leaned forward and pushed her left foot back, lifting the heel like a sprinter about to take off.
Her muscles bulged and tightened, rapidly pooling with explosive dragon energy, similar to the abyssal boost Asmodeus could use. A dragon’s powers boosted its physical abilities fivefold.
"Oh?"
She couldn’t help but notice and feel irritated by the glint in Zwei’s eyes as he stopped waiting and took a stance once again.
"Come on!" He goaded her.
Velvet closed her eyes, thinking of Asmodeus, before she sucked in a huge amount of air, using the cooling sensation to spur the last of her aura to constrict in her tightened muscles, before she let out a deafening roar.
A dragon’s roar sounded the moment her figure flung towards the Arbiter.
She flew like a bull, tearing through the sand with tremendous force, the tip of her spear aimed at the man’s heart.
In that instant, gold clashed with violet in an explosion of force.
.
.
.
Vinea’s body shuddered as she glanced towards the main target, followed by a cold tingle shooting up her spine.
"Eh?"
She glanced at the other Valkyries flying at her sides before she instantly boosted her speed, flapping her wings desperately.
"Hurry!"
There was no message or reason, but the moment Vinea felt those sensations, something in her mind became uneasy. She couldn’t help but think of Velvet, who took the central force with only a single regiment.
"Vinea?!"
This voice came from Serena, who hid herself as an ordinary Valkyrie.
"Sister?" Vinea glanced at the woman easily keeping up with her with a sense of shock; the silver light flowing from Serena’s wings almost seemed limitless as she flew around Vinea with ease.
’Is this the difference between an actual goddess and a fake?’
These thoughts lingered for most of the women who fought against Lumina and Serena. When facing Lumina, their bodies ended up full of bruises and wounds, while Serena would exhaust them with her rapid teleporting and immense speed during flight.
"Did you feel it?" Serena asked, without nonsense.
"You mean the tingles and sense of dread?" Vinea’s wings still felt uncomfortable, as someone kept plucking them from her back one by one.
Serena glanced at Vinea for a moment, then nodded.
"It seems that something dangerous is waiting for us up ahead. Let me check first. I will ensure it’s safe for everyone, okay?"
"B-But Sister! If anything happens to you, darling will..."
Vinea’s chest tightened; she knew Asmodeus loved them all, but Serena carried a unique and spiritual meaning to their husband, just like Yumiko, who ranked higher than most of the other wives overall.
"Don’t worry, there are only a handful of people who can wound me right now, Vinea. Protect the little ones, okay?" Serena’s voice brought a sense of peace to those who listened, at least if you were her ally.
"I..."
Before Vinea could reply, Serena’s body shot ahead like a shooting star, leaving behind her lingering words.
"Also, he’d be just as broken and sad if it were you who was hurt."
Vinea watched Serena vanish in the night sky, a feeling of inferiority and happiness at her words. But she soon snapped out of it and glanced back at the curious Valkyries watching.
"Hurry, we need to support the Emperor!"
.
.
.
Serena’s heart pounded like a hammer hitting a wall. The image and waves of energy she felt were much deeper and more detailed than Vinea, who lacked the Divine Aura to sense things as she did.
"Please be on time!"
A voice leaked from her lips as she tore through the air like a supersonic jet. She felt her ears pop and a tingling pain from the icy cold atmosphere as she dove towards the area she could feel the burst of energy a moment before.
She flew and flew, forcing her divine aura into her wings, creating a beautiful image.
But Serena didn’t care about this.
After a desperate charge, she finally reached the area where Velvet would be waiting for them.
At first, she saw nothing but craters and burnt sand bubbling like magma.
’Where are you, Velvet?!’
Serena’s beautiful eyes shone golden as ten tails spread behind her, each of them creating a moon at the tip. These moons illuminated the sky, but also granted Serena the ability to see the surrounding 1000 metres perfectly.
With her domain open, she couldn’t miss a fly, let alone...
"Eh... V-Velvet?!"
Her voice trembled.
Eyes narrowed into thin slits as her pupils shrank.
The sight that entered her eyes.
She couldn’t accept it.
"How can this be?!"
Her calm mind shattered like cheap glass.
Voices whispered about destruction, death, obsession, all the secret emotions she held deep in her heart to remain neutral.
Instantly, her pale hair began to drip with ink-like fluid, which dyed her entire figure black with only two crimson eyes peering from within the darkness.
The moon shuddered as it turned blood-red.
Because of her emotions.
The light died.
And only the madness remained.
