Demon Lord: Erotic Adventure in Another World-Chapter 742: Prepare for the Auction!
Asmodeus narrowed his eyes; the sharp tingling danger that travelled up his spine faded as the wyvern vanished into the distant skies.
’Damn it!’
He clenched his fists in frustration, although he could have fought the fact that he hesitated because of a damn abyssal made him fume. His knuckles cracked, turning white as the bones fractured from the sheer pressure of his anger.
’Why didn’t I just delete him!?’
Logan sat on the stairs, his right cheek bloody from a blade wound. Lun squatted in front of him, treating him, but this scene tore at Asmodeus.
If the blade struck with more force!
If they stabbed instead of sliced!
If he just attacked with full force, unleashing his power.
But then his cold, logical mind started to move.
Thanks to his parallel thinking, it was akin to having three different Asmodeus’s able to talk, judge and make plans while his main self focused on combat and the situation. But during the clash with Grundig, these damn things only spat warnings and danger!
"Ack, my beard, how’s ma beard?" Logan complained, noticing the lack of beard on the left side of his face.
"Stop yer cryin’, man."
Lun shook her head while listening to the dwarfs’ complaints, although his jovial cry helped boost the heavy atmosphere slightly.
"Asmodeus?"
"What’s wrong?"
Nerim came to his side, gently clasping his arm with a worried glance. She hesitated for a moment before continuing with her thoughts. "Will the auction be fine?" Her moist eyes watched his face as she continued. "Maybe we could wait... or find another way?"
To the logical part of his brain, her worries weren’t foolish.
However, Asmodeus refused to shy away; he promised to save them, and that’s what he must do. Even if he had to break the promise to Serena and bring some of his wives to the mainland to ensure he could crush Grundig and the Abyssal.
"It will be fine, don’t worry too much. I will find a way."
[Velvet]
Overwhelmed with irritation and the desire for revenge, he called out to one of his wives, the fiery dragon slayer. He knew for sure after hearing about her transformation ability that she would definitely enjoy this battle.
[Husband?] Her surprised tone rose a pitch.
[You don’t normally contact me like this. Is there something wrong?]
Unlike Serena and Lumina, Velvet’s impression on Asmodeus carried a special meaning, when she taught the ignorant him how to fight, endure and harness his powers—her desperate struggle to use magic, despite her curse.
[Well, I just saw a giant red wyvern and wondered if you’d like a little vacation with a few of your knights, maybe bring Erika and Levia with you.]
Velvet didn’t respond immediately. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Asmodeus closed his eyes and decided that leaving this place would be the best action.
If only the world let them leave.
The sound of countless sirens filled the night as dozens of guards approached the Bronze Blade building. After losing so many lives, the defence and combat force behind Lun probably faced a collapse.
’If the local gangs and thugs have any grudges or want to cause trouble, this won’t be good.’
"Damn, why do they only come now!?" Lun spat on the floor while kicking one of the attacker’s corpses down the stairs. Their bodies now lay in a pile, with no respect or care given.
Asmodeus watched silently, pulling Nerim into his arms. He didn’t want to be caught up in meddlesome things, since the auction was just over a day away.
To his surprise, though, it seemed the Bronzeblade Guild had nothing to do with the auction, which baffled Asmodeus. He’d learned that this guild carried the most clout in Hansberg, but then realised he’d forgotten something.
They were only the strongest in the light.
He’d avoided the dark guilds and hidden groups in Hansberg to avoid troublesome things.
Despite this, when his four minds came together, they didn’t deny that his method was the safest. With Vivi and Nerim, he couldn’t risk their lives and jump into the darkness without care or plans.
[When do you need us, and how many of our knights should we bring, darling?]
Velvet’s deep, husky voice returned with this whisper, the energetic tinge expressing her excitement as if able to see her bouncing on the spot like a child.
[I need you in Hansberg by the evening. Arrange for Serena and Alice to perform the portal ritual for you, if they ask. Just tell them it’s for safety, to avoid any issues.]
He hugged Nerim tightly, while the guards pushed through the door, he wondered how long these idiots would spend interrogating them to find an acceptable answer before letting them all go.
[Understood, may I bring Vinea too?]
Velvet rarely asked him for favours or requests, so Asmodeus couldn’t help but smirk before accepting her request directly.
[Of course, she can, but make sure you say goodbye to the kids first. You might be here for quite some time!]
"Hold up, drop your weapons and raise your hands!" The leading guard shouted as he stepped inside with a curved blade drawn and his badge on display. "Don’t move, or else we will strike you down!"
’Oh?’
Asmodeus couldn’t help but nod to himself, knowing the Empire and mainland had quite a lot of mighty warriors. Although he could create warriors and knights at the border of Rank One Demigods with ease, for these humans and other races to do it without using a god’s blood was quite impressive.
’The leading guard is a Rank One... and that one in the back too.’
Not a threat to Asmodeus, but for Logan, Lun, and the surviving lot, it would probably be certain death to go against this group of guards.
"Madame Bronzeblade, you’re going to have to explain yourself to us." He continued while shifting his glance, scanning the entire room. He showed no reaction to the pile of corpses, but only when his eyes locked with Asmodeus did the leading guard seem stunned. He suddenly shuddered before he stepped back twice. "Eh?"
The demon god just waved, with a faint smile.
’This guard is quite amusing.’
He couldn’t help but tease him a little, knowing that it was the same one who helped him the other night with Mu La’s case; there wasn’t any bad blood. In fact, he wanted to build a link with this guard, if something happened tomorrow night.
These were the men who would deal with it for him after all.
"Y-You all need to come with us and make a statement about what happened here tonight, do you understand?" He spoke with a weaker tone when facing Asmodeus, which caused many of the guards to tilt their heads.
"Is the boss okay?"
"Captain seems to be under pressure. Who is that tall demon?"
"Who knows, but he’s hot..." A female guard coughed before noticing the beauty in his arms. "Damn, he’s got a woman."
In a place like Hansberg, where darkness and light interweave, guards like this were ideal. Those who carried a sense of justice, but weren’t blinded by it. Those who came from the Empire filled with justice would most likely end up dead in the golden desert.
At least that’s what Asmodeus thought, watching the guards.
"Nerim, follow their requests and just speak honestly, alright?"
"Mhm, I’ll listen to you."
The leading captain wiped his brow with a sigh upon hearing Asmodeus speak. Thanks to his danger sense, he could tell when the situation was dire. So while enduring the sharp needles and his scalp tingling. He worried that if that giant demon caused trouble, then they might lose several of their men at least.
Nevertheless, Asmodeus wanted to be open with the guard.
"I hope that the investigation won’t take too long, as there are certain special events I wish to attend..." He addressed the captain, "I will fully co-operate, as long as you can promise me as such, Captain."
His deep, well-spoken words almost entranced the guards.
While the captain listened, he couldn’t help but frown at the first sentence, but after hearing everything and seeing Asmodeus’s warm smile, he somehow felt it wasn’t a huge request.
With a nod, the captain looked at ease. "Since you’re willing to help and give a statement, let’s have it completed in the quickest possible time. How is that?"
"Perfect, let’s go. Lun, Logan. We’ll be heading out first, take care of your wounds, and I’ll meet you at the inn later tonight."
Asmodeus couldn’t linger with Logan, since he’d likely spend a lot longer explaining himself beside Lun, and who could blame him? Those two were likely going to become a couple, especially after seeing them fight.
So he mouthed ’I wish you well on your successful romance’ to Logan, who blushed.

Meanwhile, a red-haired woman sat silently in the darkness—her eyes resembled a snake without warmth of emotion. Instead, she stroked her arms, tracing a faint scar from some kind of burn mark.
"Lady Mei Ling!"
Suddenly, a male with tanned skin, a desert warrior’s outfit and a scar down his face appeared and knelt before the beautiful woman who sat on a throne with sculpted snakes along the arms and backrest.
She glanced at the man, a trace of disdain flashing through her dull eyes, before she tapped the throne’s arm.
"Speak."
There was a simple request she put out for these filthy mercenaries.
The moment she spoke, a heavy pressure enveloped the male; its sharp and deadly force created countless cuts that tore through his flesh, causing the muscular male to grimace.
"W-We’ve found traces of the man you mentioned!"
"Oh?"
A strange light shone in her eyes as she began to pick at the burn marks; her lips pressed together as she blushed and chewed them.
"Where is he?"
The delight in her voice made it sound like a moan.
"...." The simple man gulped, his body tingling with arousal and attraction, but somehow his brain carried only one signal. ’Say everything!’ and so... he began to tell Lady Mei Ling about the events at the Bronzeblade Guild.
To the woman on the throne, she paid attention only to information about the man when hearing his name and his description. After the man stopped, she repeated his name and description over and over. Then, she suddenly arched her back and stroked her curvaceous body with a soft hum.
"Asmodeus~ you’ve come to see me again?"
In a matter of seconds, her blissful exterior transformed into an ice queen as she pointed to the man.
"Prepare for the auction, an important guest is coming to see me!"
She glanced in a small mirror, looking at herself, unable to use her powers to quell these growing emotions inside. Ever since she lost to Asmodeus, when her charm and illusion failed, her obsession towards him only grew and grew.
"Let me see if you can resist a second time~ Filthy, Demon." Despite calling him a filthy demon, she said those words with the most sultry and sensual tone while pinching herself, like a bitch in heat.
Meanwhile, the poor male could only tremble in terror as her figure twisted, transforming into an aberration in his eyes.
