Chapter 134: Chapter 134

"I unlocked Luck", Aaron was surprised and shocked to see the attribute that he had unlocked.

"How did I unlock it?"

"I mean, there are other attributes. If it was the last one, then I can understand why it was unlocked, but with a value of 3, Luck shouldn’t be on my side".

Aaron was surprised because the item used to unlock Luck was a Random Attribute Keystone, not a Luck Attribute Keystone. With his luck value just at 3, that shouldn’t have been possible, but it did.

He thought for a while about the reason behind that, and then it hit him.

"The blessing, now, could I forget the blessing that I got? It improves luck a bit, probably what caused to unlock the Luck attribute. Other than that, I couldn’t think of anything else", Aaron muttered to himself.

He got the Silvermoon Blessing in the first trial that he took in the Undead Ruins, a few months back. He totally forgot about that, as luck was not something that he could see the effects in a normal manner. freeweɓnovel.cøm

Now he understood why.

The luck was only at 3.

The blessing would double the value of luck under the moon. The improvement that Aaron got from the Blessing, that would depend on the base value, which is very low and he should be under moon.

It means this blessing doesn’t work in dungeons or during the day, but it was when he needed it most, as that is the time and place where he would be active.

So he didn’t see any tangible results and forgot about that.

"Okay, now that I’ve used two of the three items. First, let’s improve these two before using that third item", Aaron muttered and started to do so.

First, he improved his skill as it was an easy thing to do.

Death Prison, like any skill, was at Rank 0, which he improved to Rank 5, as that is the highest he could with the SPs he got. He had 49 SPs, but now he has only 10, which are not sufficient to increase anymore.

Once he had done that, he turned to Luck.

The reason, he knew hidden attributes need 10 times what normal attributes need to increase them, while special attributes would need more than that. How much more, there was no mention.

Luck is one such special attribute, and it was mentioned that Luck is the most inconvenient one as it is the most difficult one to improve.

From the information that he read, Aaron was sure that improving Luck would not be easy and would cost a lot of FSPs.

"Since Luck is a special attribute, let’s start by using 100 FSPs".

"Hmm, nothing happened. Let’s increase to 1,000".

"Ha, again nothing. Let’s continue to increase".

...

"There it is, finally luck increased by +1, reaching the value of 4. Wait, it took 50,000 FSPs to increase by +1. No wonder it was mentioned that improving Luck would be almost impossible, and there was never a mention of increasing it using FSPs", Aaron couldn’t help but mutter out loudly.

What Aaron thought was right.

Aaron had a 10x perk and now a 100x perk, which gave him a lot of FSPs, but that was not possible for everyone out there.

At Rank-2, one would get only 20 FSPs per level, and as it is a hundred-level rank, the maximum one can earn at Rank-2 is 2,000, but that is what Aaron earns per level.

Everyone uses up their FSPs as soon as they get them, as it normally takes time to get those FSPs. It would not be similar to Aaron, who stuffs them into his attributes daily.

Even with that daily infusion, he still had thousands of FSPs on his status panel, but not anymore.

Luck burned 50,000 FSPs to increase by one point.

For others, earning and having so many FSPs on their panel is almost impossible, as they would need to increase their rank to the upper ranks without using FSPs.

Without using FSPs to improve attributes, how can one challenge higher-level monsters?

The only way was to find resources that can improve the attributes, but they don’t come cheap. They cost a lot and are rare.

So, many believed that FSPs can’t be used to improve Luck, as no one has done that before, though there were doubts about that.

Aaron, unlike others, had no such problem.

Even after using 50,000 FSPs to increase Luck by one point, he has around 40,000 FSPs left. It means another point of luck can be gained if Aaron gets 10,000 more FSPs.

He gains 2,000 FSPs per level up, and that means he has to only level up five times to get another increase in luck.

After getting that improvement, his entire FSPs would be drained out, and it would take a long time before he can improve again, but that doesn’t matter to him.

"Hmm, I should start to level up again from tomorrow. Luck, though, is not like other attributes; having a higher value of Luck makes one’s life easier. They would encounter many treasures and could even survive any dangerous situations".

"I know that to reach Rank-7 is not easy for Death professionals, as it would be dangerous and none have survived or succeeded a Rank-7 promotion mission. So, I need to amass as much Luck as possible before that".

"That may be for the future, but there are dangers around me. To survive them, I may need luck. So, it’s best to increase Luck, at least to the value of 10 as soon as possible", Aaron thought and decided to follow this.

There are still eighteen days before the group had to departure for the tournament. He wanted to increase the luck by +1 before that happens.

In tournaments, it was not strength that was required, luck is required too, as that is what decided who your opponents would be.

So, if he could, Aaron wants to improve Luck as much as possible but beyond increasing it by +1, he can’t do anything else.

To improve luck by +1, he needs 50,000 FSPs, and that means he needs to gain 25 levels, which is not an easy thing. Before that, he needs 10,000 FSPs to be added to the existing 40,000 FSPs. This requires him to improve his level by 5.

So if he wants +2 luck, he needs to improve by 30 levels, which would not be possible before leaving for the tournament.

For now, an extra +1 is more than enough.

---

After improving the skill and Luck, Aaron gave a quick check on his status to see that everything was in order.

--

Luck: 3 >> 4

-

Skills/Spells: Death Prison (Rank 0) >> (Rank 5);

Free Status Points: 90,740 >> 40,740

Skill Points: 49 >> 10

--

Everything was in order.

"Now, let’s use the third item, but before that, I need to find those two items to use in conjuction", Aaron muttered as he started to rummage through his storage.

It took him a while to find the two items he was looking for. There are a lot of resources in his storage, which he stored instead of selling as if they were taken out, it would certainly cause him trouble.

If he was in need, he would use them. Until then, they would stay inside.

"Ah, there they are. Now that all three items are here, let’s hope that this work", Aaron muttered and started his work.
