Chapter 338: Chapter 338: My Brother and I Will Stand Up for You

Outside the door, Elara Don walked out of the children’s room and slowly headed towards the study.

Andrew King finished his call and gave her a reassuring smile.

"Elly, don’t be sad. Tom’s situation is unclear right now, and the things he says might not be his true intention. Rest assured, we will all stand by your side."

This was the Hawthorne’s recognition of her.

Elara Don was touched, her nose felt a little sore.

She gave Andrew King a grateful smile and heard Vinny Hawke’s voice coming from the study.

"You were particularly naughty as a child but would always listen to me. Seeing me was like a mouse seeing a cat..."

Vinny Hawke was reminiscing with Damon Hawke about his childhood.

Elara Don didn’t want to disturb them, and said to Andrew King, "Mr. King, I’ll go down and help with dinner."

"Okay."

Andrew King nodded, watching Elara Don’s figure going downstairs, he sighed slightly.

He hoped his son would recover soon, so the family could be happy together.

Downstairs, Elara Don immediately saw Victoria Don sitting on the sofa playing with her phone.

She ignored her presence and walked straight past her.

"Stop."

Victoria Don noticed Elara Don too and got up proudly.

Elara Don paused slightly, curious to hear what she had to say.

"Elara Don, now Tom only remembers me. I advise you not to waste your efforts and leave the Hawke Family soon."

Victoria Don walked gracefully in front of Elara Don, her arms crossed, chin raised, looking smug.

Elara Don looked at her, sneering lightly, "Tom only remembers you? Victoria Don, isn’t it pathetic to deceive yourself and pretend? I don’t know what you did to Tom, but I will expose you. Don’t you remember the consequences the last time you deceived Tom? I am waiting to see your downfall this time."

These words reminded Victoria Don of the time when she was suppressed by Damon Hawke and led a desolate and humiliating life.

Her face twisted, glaring at Elara Don with eyes that seemed to burn her.

After speaking, Elara Don ignored her and walked directly towards the kitchen.

Good shall prevail over evil.

She would wait to see Victoria Don face the consequences of her actions.

Upstairs in the study.

The Hawke elders left the study, leaving the space for the mother and son.

Vinny Hawke took out a photo album, reminiscing while showing Damon Hawke photos.

The photos captured every bit of Damon’s life as he grew up.

Damon Hawke slowly looked through them. Although his mind was still blank, he seemed to feel the passage of time.

Filled with warmth and happiness.

"Tom, this is Evelyn Miles, your first love, but it turned out that this woman actually had a mental illness. Luckily, you both didn’t end up together."

Vinny Hawke pointed to a photo of Damon Hawke and Evelyn Miles together.

Was this about to be a recounting of his love history?

Damon Hawke still said nothing, quietly listening.

"Tom, speaking of this, we have to talk about the events from four years ago. I don’t know why you would think Victoria Don is your true love, but four years ago she impersonated Charlie’s biological mother and took Elly’s place. She then used your resources to package herself into an A-list star. She deceived us for four whole years, making us play the fool. Later, it was you who ordered her downfall..."

Vinny Hawke looked at Damon Hawke, bringing up the story of Victoria Don.

Damon Hawke frowned, feeling that Vinny’s story didn’t match his memories.

"Tom, Victoria Don really isn’t a good woman; she shouldn’t be by your side."

Vinny continued talking, but Damon Hawke only felt his head throbbing painfully.

"Tom, are you okay?"

Vinny noticed Damon Hawke’s pale face and hurriedly asked.

"I’m fine, just need a break."

Damon Hawke said, rubbing his temples.

Vinny opened his mouth, wanting to say more but stopped, his face full of concern.

Just then, the door was knocked, and Andrew King peeked in, "Vinny, come down with Damon for dinner."

"Okay."

Vinny nodded, looking at Damon Hawke.

Damon Hawke composed himself and got up to leave the study with Vinny.

Downstairs in the dining room.

The Hawke elders and the two young ones were already seated in their usual spots.

The two kids looked at Victoria Don waiting for Damon Hawke, then at Damon Hawke coming down with Vinny, and exchanged a glance. A crafty look flashed in their dark eyes.

"Daddy, sit here."

Dominic Hawke patted the spot next to him, signaling for Damon Hawke to sit.

Damon Hawke glanced at him and didn’t refuse, sitting down next to him.

"Mommy, you’re sitting in the wrong spot; you should sit next to Daddy."

Bea looked at Elara Don sitting next to him and said in a sweet voice.

Elara Don looked at him, then at Damon Hawke. Before she could react, Victoria Don had already plopped down next to Damon Hawke.

"The spot next to Tom should be mine."

The woman’s face was full of pride, and Dominic and Bea glared at her angrily.

Both snorted and turned their heads away.

However, where no one could see, they were trying hard to suppress their smiles.

Nasty woman, they were waiting to see her embarrassment.

"Alright, let’s eat."

Elder Hawthorne, although displeased with Victoria Don’s presence at the family dinner, suppressed his discontent for Damon’s sake.

The fact that his grandson returned safely was already a tremendous blessing; other issues could be dealt with later.

Everyone at the table began to eat.

"Mommy, you made this dish, didn’t you? It’s my favorite."

Bea immediately noticed the sweet and sour ribs before him, smiling broadly as they were personally made by Elara Don.

"Daddy, you used to love Mommy’s cooking. Try it."

Dominic Hawke looked at Damon Hawke, his voice sugary sweet.

Damon Hawke’s gaze landed on the nicely presented ribs, as if he could smell the aroma of sugar and vinegar.

Did he like this sweet and sour dish?

"Tom prefers milder dishes, not strong flavors."

Victoria Don picked up a piece of fish and placed it in Damon Hawke’s bowl, "Tom, try this; it’s your real favorite dish."

Damon Hawke stared at the fish in his bowl, saying nothing.

"Tom indeed has a preference for mild flavors, but he always loves what I cook. Tom, give it a try."

Elara Don stood up and placed a piece of rib into his bowl.

Damon Hawke frowned, glancing up at Elara Don.

Elara Don happened to be looking at him as well, and their eyes met, stirring some inexplicable feeling in Damon, but it vanished quickly.

He thought he should really dislike Elara Don, so how could he possibly like her cooking?

Thinking this, Damon Hawke removed the rib from his bowl.

"I don’t like sweet and sour things."

His actions were like a harsh slap to Elara Don.

Elara Don tightened her grip on her chopsticks, looked at him for two seconds, then lowered her eyes.

She wasn’t sad because she knew this wasn’t his true intention.

"So falling down really makes people dumber. Daddy, you’re just a big dummy now."

Bea said angrily.

"Bea, eat your meal."

Elara Don smiled, serving him soup.

Bea pouted, secretly whispering in Elara Don’s ear.

"Mommy, don’t be sad. Brother and I will get back at her for you."
