Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!-Chapter 370 - 369: Paparazzi Lurking
Mia Sutton’s arrival didn’t catch anyone’s attention; in other words, no one even noticed her.
Firstly, because Jensen Sterling upgraded his room, differing from where the rest of the film crew stayed, they naturally didn’t encounter him. Secondly, Mia usually didn’t go out, and when she did, she was always fully disguised. With so many celebrities in the hotel, no one would notice her.
The rest of Amanda Summers’ crew had already left, and Mia mentioned she had some matters to attend to, so she stayed behind.
The film crew had a relatively simple shoot today, and the process went smoothly. The leading actors were in great form, so filming wrapped up quickly.
Another reason could be that Zach Sheffield, who was inserted into the crew, unexpectedly showed significant improvement in his acting recently, making it watchable, hence speeding up the progress.
However...everyone watched as Jensen had removed his makeup and was getting ready to leave.
They couldn’t help but feel it was a bit strange how often Jensen had been returning to the hotel these days.
Previously, even when his scenes were done, he’d stay with the crew, but recently, if he wasn’t required, he’d disappear.
Ask him, and he’d just say he went back to the hotel.
What, is there some fairy waiting for him back there? In such a hurry?
Of course, they’re just speculating. Considering Jensen’s reputation in the circle, how could there possibly be a fairy in his room, right? 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Only the director, who accidentally overheard Jensen making a phone call, silently wondered if it could be his girlfriend visiting him?
Sure enough, Jensen left the crew again after filming today.
"Mr. Sterling, we’re wrapping up early today. We’re having a little gathering, want to join?"
Filming is usually busy, so they wanted to relax now that they finally had some free time.
Jensen heard this and declined in a mild tone, "No need, you guys go ahead. I have something to do."
After Jensen left, everyone exchanged glances, with the same thought in mind: Something’s up.
...
Jensen returned to the hotel and went straight back to his room. Mia was sitting on the bed playing games.
Yesterday, when she snuck out, she almost got photographed, so today she obediently stayed inside the hotel and didn’t go anywhere.
Besides, there was something planned for the evening.
Immersed in her game, Mia looked up, slightly surprised to see Jensen back, "Mr. Sterling, you’re back early today?"
Jensen loosened his collar and walked over to ruffle her hair twice, "Yes, we wrapped up early today."
"Weren’t you going out?"
Mia responded with a few nods, "Wait, Mr. Sterling, let me finish this game, it’ll be quick."
Since "Drama Tragedy" was premiering today, Mia planned to catch the first show, but it would be too conspicuous during the day.
So, she decided to wait until the evening. Initially, Mia planned to go alone since Jensen was busy with filming and there might be night scenes.
But after hearing her, Jensen insisted on going with her.
Conveniently, there were no night scenes today. Mia figured she’d be filming until at least past eight, so she was busy gaming, not expecting such an early finish today.
Mia said she’d be quick, and indeed she was, finishing her game in no time and setting her phone aside.
Under Jensen’s gaze, the young girl was running back and forth, rummaging around, and then...
Seeing only Mia’s eyes visible, Jensen thought, "..."
Mia gathered things to wrap herself up thoroughly and then brought out a pile of stuff: masks, hats, sunglasses, and clothes.
Jensen asked, "What is all this?"
Mia blinked twice, "These are the things I bought a few days ago, a full set of gear. Since we’re going out, this way no one can recognize us. Go change quickly."
With that, she pushed Jensen to change.
Jensen felt a bit helpless, but he took the items and went to change.
Mia had indeed prepared comprehensively. After a complete transformation, Jensen successfully adopted a different style.
Mia circled Jensen, nodding with satisfaction. "Yes, not bad at all. This way, no one should recognize us."
Jensen asked, "When did you buy all this?"
He hadn’t been at the hotel and had no clue Mia had prepared such specialized gear.
Mia replied, "Just a couple of days ago. I snuck out to buy them and almost got noticed."
Then, seeing the hat in Jensen’s hand, she reached out, tiptoeing to put it on his head.
Jensen thought, "..."
Mia stepped back a few steps, examined carefully, and then shook her head, "No, this looks too weird. Better not wear the hat."
Jensen had the hat, mask, and sunglasses on, perfectly hiding even the slightest glimpse of his face.
However...it did look a bit odd.
Jensen let Mia put on the hat for him and then take it off, wearing a helpless smile.
After removing the hat, Mia took another couple of glances, "Alright, just like this. It’s dark anyway, no one should recognize us."
As she spoke, she nodded to herself.
Then she clapped her hands, "Okay, let’s go. I booked tickets for the 9:20 PM show."
...
Outside the hotel, a few paparazzi were lurking.
"Damn, why is it so cold tonight? The temperature suddenly dropped. Do you think anyone will still come out?"
The temperature indeed dropped significantly tonight, and the paparazzi were dressed in short sleeves, feeling the chill of the night.
They were following a lead that a young male idol had just arrived at the hotel yesterday, with rumors suggesting he came here to meet his girlfriend.
Such gossip was exactly what the paparazzi loved. If they captured it, it would mean both buzz and money.
"We’ve been waiting this long already. It’d be a shame to leave now. What if someone comes out soon? We’ve already been cold for so long. Let’s hang on a bit longer."
"Besides, this hotel often hosts many celebrities. Even if we don’t capture that gossip, snapping others wouldn’t be a loss. Let’s wait a bit more."
The one who initially complained about the cold muttered some curses under his breath, then held back his temper, "Alright, let’s wait a bit longer."
They’d been waiting so long already. Leaving without any catches would indeed be frustrating.
Damn it, it’s just cold. He would endure, believing they’d eventually capture something.
Then they continued squatting, chatting occasionally to pass the time.
Every time someone came out, they’d take a look. They did manage to snap a few celebrities, but nothing particularly sensational.
