Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!-Chapter 371 - 370: Drama Tragedy Premiere
"Damn, it’s been so long, and we haven’t captured anything yet. If we don’t get anything soon, all this time will be wasted."
He frowned as he spoke, just about to reach into his pocket for a cigarette, when the person next to him nudged his arm urgently, "Quick, quick, they’re out! Two people, definitely celebrities by the look of it."
"Take a look, is that the one we’re following? They’re covered up too tightly, can’t see clearly."
Unaware they were being tailed by paparazzi, Mia Sutton and Jensen Sterling stepped out of the hotel.
"Who cares if it’s them or not, just take the shots first. The way they look, they clearly seem like a couple."
Suddenly, there was a flurry of clicks from various angles, capturing them until they got into the car.
Once the car drove off, the group began going through their cameras, checking the shots they had taken.
Muttering as they looked, "No, this person is pretty tall. That pretty boy isn’t this tall, right?"
Indeed, even in such dim lighting, the person’s long legs were clearly visible in the photos.
The body of that pretty boy... wasn’t this good, was it?
The paparazzi were silent for a moment, and the air grew quiet.
"Never mind, at least we caught them, that’s good enough. Let’s wait until they come back and shoot another set, that would be even more solid proof."
The others nodded in agreement, "Sounds good."
"Who knows, maybe we’ll catch that pretty boy if we stick around."
Having captured their target, the paparazzi were now in high spirits, their mood lifted, brimming with enthusiasm. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
What was a little cold? Compared to the money, this chill was nothing. They could endure it.
And so, the paparazzi continued on their mission to stalk their prey.
Meanwhile, Mia Sutton and Jensen Sterling were completely unaware they had been photographed.
Cinema.
The weather was chilly, so it wasn’t unusual for them to be wearing masks.
Today was the premiere of "Drama Tragedy," and the cinema was buzzing with activity. Groups of people were engaged in conversation, creating a rather noisy atmosphere.
Mia checked her phone briefly—it was the film schedule. It was the first day of screenings, and during the day, all shows had been sold out.
Mia hadn’t expected the evening to be so crowded too. A glance at her phone confirmed all seats were taken.
Tilting her head towards Jensen, she leaned closer and whispered, "Mr. Sterling, wait here for a moment, I’ll go get some snacks."
Jensen watched as the young lady approached a nearby counter and soon returned, arms full with a large tub of popcorn and sodas.
With so much to carry, her face was practically hidden.
Seeing this, Jensen’s eyes twinkled with amusement at her cherished antics, and in two strides, he took the popcorn and sodas from her hands.
"So much?"
Mia replied, "You don’t understand, it’s the basic respect for a movie."
After all, what’s a movie without popcorn and soda? It’s the quintessential film set.
After speaking, Mia, worried about being recognized, led Jensen to a corner seat.
She whispered softly to Jensen while they chatted.
Just then, she overheard the group behind them talking.
"My husband’s movie is finally out. God knows how long I’ve been waiting. I came right after work."
"Same here. And his other fans are so aggressive, they snatched up the tickets so fast. This was the last one I managed to grab."
"It means we can’t even sit together."
The woman, hearing this, patted her companion’s arm, sighed, and said compassionately, "Don’t worry, hon. For our husband’s movie, it’s worth not sitting together."
The two continued their conversation with great bravado.
Unaware, just a few meters away sat the man they called their husband.
Mia propped her chin on her hand, her eyes playfully watching the man opposite and whispered, "Jensen has a lot of wives, huh."
She hadn’t forgotten Jensen’s stories about fans calling him husband.
He had so many wives, she had her own harem—such is only fair.
Jensen: "..."
He glanced at the two women sitting nearby; no one paid them any attention.
He then quietly told Mia, "You’re the legitimate one."
Mia: "....!!!"
Her lips involuntarily curved into a smile.
Yes, she was legitimate; they were just fans. She could touch Mr. Sterling, but his fans couldn’t.
Although it was a casual comment, Jensen’s words left Mia feeling oddly comforted.
Before long, ticket checks began, and people started heading inside.
Once the crowd had thinned out, Mia led Jensen towards the entrance.
With Jensen’s hands full, Mia tugged at his coat, guiding him inside.
The theater was dimly lit; Mia found her seat, crouching as she moved forward.
Everyone was engrossed in their conversations, unaware they were sitting with the film’s lead actors.
Soon, the movie started, and the chatter gradually faded as all eyes turned to the screen.
Jensen sat in his seat, watching the screen in front of him, finding it... quite refreshing.
Even though he had acted for years, starred in many films, he had never watched his films in a theater, only sometimes glancing at his phone for the final cut.
Technically, this was his first time properly watching one of his films in a cinema, and doing so with Mia made it all the more novel.
The film began playing, and everyone, including Mia, focused intently on the screen. Having seen only parts of her work, she was eager to appreciate the final product.
The sequence of the film naturally differed from the shooting schedule. It began with Rosalind’s opera days during the outbreak of war outside.
As the chaos grew, Rosalind finished performing one opera and traveled south, all the way to the final bastion.
Mia watched attentively, impressed with Director Lawson’s artistry. Some scenes turned out more breathtaking than she had anticipated.
