Chapter 132: Her Fairy Image is Gone

Early the next morning, the phone rang. A pale arm lazily stretched out from under the covers and directly turned it off.

Then it quickly retracted, continuing to sleep. On the bed, apart from a puffy blanket, nothing could be seen—a truly round lump.

Mia Sutton didn’t take the alarm clock seriously at all, her mind hazily contemplating the alarm time.

It’s still early, I can sleep for another half an hour.

She had no choice; she had stayed up too late watching TV shows last night and hadn’t planned on watching so late.

The main thing was that the show was just too addictive. She hadn’t noticed the time, and by the time she checked, it was already past two in the morning.

Just a little more sleep, just a little more...

Then the room went quiet again, and the blanket occasionally moved slightly. After a while, the phone rang again.

This time it wasn’t the alarm but a call. The person buried under the blanket frowned, reached out, and turned it off with one press.

But before Mia Sutton could drift back into sleep, the phone rang again!

Mia Sutton: Never mind, let it ring. I’m a corpse; I can’t hear it.

The sound by her ear continued! 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

After more than ten seconds, with a swish, the blanket was thrown open, and Mia Sutton sat motionless on the bed, her originally smooth hair now a mess.

She glared fiercely at the incessantly ringing phone and the name on the caller ID.

She sat for several seconds, as if meditating.

She silently chanted: Don’t get angry, don’t get angry, I just pissed him off yesterday.

After calming herself down, she picked up the phone and answered it as calmly as possible, "Hey, brother, what’s up? Is something wrong?"

On the other end: "Picking you up to go to the program, in your neighborhood, be quick."

Then the other party’s tone changed slightly: "You haven’t gotten up yet, have you?"

Mia Sutton: "..."

Word by word: "Brother, it’s only six in the morning."

Holly Sutton nonchalantly replied, "I know, that’s why you should hurry up; I’ll give you half an hour."

Holly Sutton looked at his watch and said plainly, "It’s now 6:25. I expect to see you at 6:55."

After a pause, he continued, "Oh, by the way, remember to bring my brother-in-law down too."

Mia Sutton looked at the ended call: "...!!"

Her eyes went wide, and a few seconds later, she tossed the phone and pulled the blanket over herself!

Yet two minutes later, the person who was just on the bed appeared life-weary in front of the sink, holding a toothbrush and brushing her teeth feebly, eyes tightly shut.

She was a soulless washing machine.

Jensen Sterling walked in and saw this scene—a girl with messy hair looking dazed, eyes closed as she halfheartedly brushed her teeth.

The corners of his lips curved into a faint smile.

"Finished brushing?"

Mia Sutton: "..." She whipped her head around and saw Jensen Sterling standing by the door, looking at her with a smile in his eyes.

For a moment, Mia Sutton froze in place, a flurry of imagined comments flashing through her mind.

My beautiful image... gone!

Then she pretended to be calm, turned her head back, rinsed her mouth, and obediently said, "I’m done; you can use it."

And then she zipped out of the room like a gust of wind, as though her feet were greased.

Her fairy-like image... gone... so sad.

Actually, Jensen Sterling’s room had a bathroom, but seeing Mia Sutton sleepily walking around with her eyes closed, he just wanted to go over and see. The feeling of seeing people around the house in the morning... was nice, a touch of domesticity.
