Chapter 445: Chapter 445: A Day Alone With My Lion

Su Qinglan hopped off the dolphin’s back into the shallow, crystal-clear water. Shi Feng followed close behind her.

Before the dolphin left, it nudged Su Qinglan’s hand with a soft squeal. She smiled, her palms glowing with a soft green energy.

As the dolphin absorbed the power, it gave a happy leap and swam back into the deep blue.

The vines that had acted as their reins withered away into the sand, leaving Shi Feng in utter awe of the scene. He waded out of the water, reaching out to take Su Qinglan’s hand as they stepped onto the dry beach.

"Did we come here to meet someone?" he asked, still looking suspiciously at the small cave, which doesn’t look like a cave at all.

Su Qinglan shook her head, a proud grin spreading across her face. "No. There is no one else here."

"Then... whose cave is that?"

"It’s ours," she said loudly, gesturing toward the small structure.

Shi Feng stared. The house was simple but beautiful, made of sturdy wood and long woods that had been carefully fashioned together. He couldn’t believe his ears. "You made this?"

Su Qinglan nodded. She remembered the days when her other husbands were not here and she would bring the cubs to the shore.

While Lan Yue watched the little ones, she would slip away to the sea to bathe and practice her growing plant abilities. The fish had always loved her energy, circling her like a queen. One day, she had stumbled upon this tiny island and decided to build a dream hut.

It hadn’t been easy. It had taken her a full week of hard work, using her vines to lift heavy wood and weave the walls together.

At the time, she didn’t know why she was building it, but looking at Shi Feng’s shocked face, she knew exactly why now. This was to be their honeymoon paradise. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"I built it all by myself," she whispered, pulling him toward the entrance.

As they stepped inside, Shi Feng’s breath caught. The space wasn’t large...just four walls and a cozy interior, but it was spectacular.

Tropical flowers of every color hung from the ceiling and crept along the walls, their petals glowing in the soft light. The scent was intoxicating, like a garden in full bloom.

Shi Feng looked around at the paradise she had created with her own hands. He felt a lump in his throat.

"Lanlan," he breathed, turning to her with eyes full of wonder. "You are truly incredible."

Shi Feng’s heart was soaring higher than a mountain eagle’s. He looked around the tiny, flower-filled strange cave and then back at Su Qinglan; his tail...if he were in his lion form...would have been wagging like crazy.

"Do you like this place?" Su Qinglan asked, watching his reaction with a soft smile.

Shi Feng nodded his head vigorously, looking like a little chick pecking at grain. "I don’t just like it, Lanlan. I love it! It is so beautiful. I never knew a place like this existed."

"If you like it so much, we can stay here for the entire day," she said playfully. "Just the two of us. What do you think?"

Shi Feng froze, his golden eyes widening. The idea of having her all to himself for a whole day was like a dream come true. But then, a flicker of worry crossed his face as he remembered the rest of their large, chaotic family.

"Won’t the others be worried about us?" he asked. "Xuan Long and the others... they might think something happened to us."

Su Qinglan couldn’t help but shake her head.

This "silly lion" was truly too good. Even when he had the chance to steal her away, he was worrying about his love rivals. She reached out and patted his cheek.

"Don’t worry," she said with a chuckle. "They know I am with you. They won’t be worried. They know you would protect me with your life."

Hearing this, Shi Feng’s worry vanished instantly, replaced by a grin so wide it practically split his face.

He was ecstatic. Who could be happier than him right now? He was officially on a private date with his female!

"Lanlan, you wait here," he said urgently, his protective instincts kicking in.

"You just woke up and haven’t eaten properly. I will go find food and build a fire. You shouldn’t have an empty stomach."

He dashed out of the hut before she could even answer. Su Qinglan didn’t just sit around, though. She used her vines to pluck a large, plump fish from the sea.

By the time Shi Feng returned with an armload of exotic fruits and dry wood, he found her already cleaning the fish and starting a small fire.

"Lanlan! Stay away from the flames!" he cried out, dropping his haul. "I’ll do it! This is heavy work for a male."

Su Qinglan puffed out her cheeks in a cute pout. "Don’t treat me like I can’t even cook my own food, Shi Feng!"

"I don’t doubt you, my Queen," he said quickly, gently nudging her aside. "But as long as I am here, you shouldn’t have to lift a finger. Just sit and eat the fruit."

Su Qinglan decided not to argue. If he wanted to pamper her, she was happy to let him. She picked up a bright, tropical fruit he had brought back and took a sweet bite.

It was so delicious; she let out a small, involuntary moan of delight. Hearing that sound, Shi Feng felt like he could conquer ten oceans just to bring her more fruit.

After they finished their grilled fish, they spent the morning exploring every inch of the tiny paradise.

The island was even more beautiful than the mermaid village...quiet, private, and lush.

Eventually, the sun rose high in the sky, and they grew tired of playing in the waves.

They lay down together on the warm white sand. Su Qinglan tucked herself into the crook of Shi Feng’s arm, hiding her face from the glaring sun against his chest.

Shi Feng held her tightly, feeling more content than he had in his entire life.
