The street was silent without anyone around except for Lin Xuan Qi and Er Gou.

After feeling Er Gou’s pulse for a few moments, Lin Xuan Qi lifted his hand from Er Gou’s wrist.

There was no pulse.

After the Artifact gave out a green glow, it engulfed his body and he turned into leaves.

The leaves flew away swiftly from where they were.

When he finally got back to the new house, Lin Xuan Qi went back to his bedroom immediately.

The doors of his bedroom creaked when he closed them behind him.

He sat down by the tea table in the middle of the room and poured himself a cup of tea.

After exhausting his Five-Element Qi, he needed a breather.

While he rested and sipped the tea from his teacup, he began to think about the trip to Bian Jing.

The trip had worked out so far with some hiccups like Seng and Er Gou.

But overall, he had achieved the objectives that he wanted to accomplish for the trip.

He also got to be introduced to people like Qian Shi and young master Heng, who was involved with the imperial palace.

As for cultivation, he was able to start dabbling with talismans, get the materials required for the Formation Arrays, and also buy Artifacts for storage and offense.

When he got out of his bedroom to have breakfast, he saw that Yue Xin was pouting with Liu Shi Shi shaking her head at her.

Lin Xuan Qi glanced at Liu Shi Shi to see if she had any idea what was going on, and Liu Shi Shi shrugged her shoulders at him.

He shook his head and sat down at the dining table.

"So, what happened to you?"

Yue Xin lowered her head and said nothing.

He frowned and said, "You are missing your sister? We will be going back soon."

She lifted her head and looked at him for a moment but lowered her head again.

"Then, I guess it’s about time I bring you out to have a look at Bian Jing?" He shrugged and said, thinking that it must be due to the lack of time he had spent with Yue Xin and Liu Shi Shi.

He got it half-right.

Yue Xin had been busy with the new house with Liu Shi Shi for the past few days.

They hadn’t spent much time together with him.

But that was not all; she lifted her head and mustered a smile.

Yue Xin twitched her mouth and said, "You’ve been so tired for the past two nights, sister Xue Cong and Yue Jie will not be too happy that I’m not taking good care of you."

His behavior of resting early for the past two nights had made her worried.

Lin Xuan Qi rolled his eyes at her and said, "That is none of your concern.

"I’m just allergic to being busy with all the young masters and getting busy.

"If I had the choice, I would be enjoying life every day instead."

He shook his head and gave out a long sigh, "If only there were someone who could take over all these nuisances so that I can laze around the whole day."

Yue Xin also gave out a long sigh as she knew that she couldn’t help with it.

Liu Shi Shi rolled her eyes at him and said, "So will you bring us around Bian Jing or not?"

"Yeah, I nearly forgot about that." Yue Xin nodded her head and said with anticipation.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head at them and said, "We can go around and have a look at the city after I’m done with the training for the new workers."

Yue Xin got back to her usual self when she heard him and picked up some of the meat from one of the dishes for him.

"That’s enough." Lin Xuan Qi frowned and said when he saw that his rice bowl was covered with meat.

"Eat more, Master Lin." Yue Xin was still worried that she didn’t take good care of him.

"Are you sure?" Lin Xuan Qi said and held onto her hand, "How should I expend all the extra energy if I eat too much?"

"I’m not too sure." Yue Xin blushed and she pulled her hand back away from him.

Liu Shi Shi shook her head at him and said, "I think you should know better than us."

Lin Xuan Qi shrugged his shoulders and replied, "You will find out very soon when we get back to Hong Feng City."

He reminded her of their wedding when they got back and Liu Shi Shi also blushed and lowered her head.
