After Ruby Sullivan moved to Meridia, she bought a lot of distressed jeans and simple printed T-shirts and hoodies. Just by casually wearing them and styling her hair into a braid, she achieved a youthful look. In contrast, Ethan Sterling’s clothes were frankly a bit troubling.

He was in formal attire during the snack street outing before, which was forgivable since he didn’t know. But planning to visit the school while dressed so formally seemed unnecessary this time.

She rubbed her chin, standing in front of the wardrobe, feeling dissatisfied with Ethan Sterling’s clothing collection. "Why do I suddenly feel that you lack clothes?"

Ethan Sterling raised his eyebrows slightly, silently pondering that his wardrobe was packed to the brim, and he updated some older styles each year. How could this woman say he had too few clothes?

Ethan Sterling thought for a moment, "Don’t I have a polo shirt?"

Ruby Sullivan rolled her eyes, "Mr. Sterling, you at least started your business in the women’s goods industry, couldn’t you pay more attention to clothing styles?"

Ethan Sterling knew better than to retort at moments like this because Ruby Sullivan had a hundred prepared comebacks ready to fire whenever. So, he silently clarified to himself that it was actually his grandfather who started the business.

He stood up, put his arm around her shoulder, and went to look at the wardrobe together. At the moment, even he felt his clothes were somewhat monotonous. At least, wearing them out wouldn’t resemble a college student’s attire.

"I think this one’s nice." He picked up a set of indigo-colored suits, "This outfit’s not acceptable?" To him, this color was already too vibrant, but it was custom-made to match her same-color dress.

Speaking of it, he accidentally noticed her dress and thought it would look exceptionally good on her, so he went ahead and made this suit, thinking there would be occasions where they’d attend together. Ethan Sterling laughed, picking up his daughter and giving her a kiss, "Soon mom and I are going out on a date. You and your brother should behave at home, and call dad if anything happens."

"Yes." Ruby Sullivan had become wary of Gwen, so she didn’t say much.

Gwen Yates fake-smiled, "You guys really have a great relationship, I’m so envious as a single dog."

Ruby Sullivan suddenly remembered the confessions she missed witnessing on the playground previously. She couldn’t help but ask, "Those two guys who confessed to you looked nice. Did you reject them both?"

Gwen Yates sighed, "Yes, they’re not my type. It’s better not to force it." After speaking, she glanced at Ethan Sterling, "But my ideal type is a man like Mr. Sterling." She had previously declared herself as Ethan Sterling’s fan girl, so saying it at this moment wasn’t strange.

He then pulled Ruby Sullivan’s hand, seemingly treasuring even the short walk to the entrance.

Once in the elevator, Ruby Sullivan sneakily tilted her head to look at Ethan Sterling, "Tell me, is there something up with Gwen?" Her actions were too obvious, hard to believe Ethan Sterling wasn’t privately meeting her, making Ruby even more suspicious.

Ethan Sterling wrapped his arm around her shoulder and playfully pinched her nose, "I can assure you I’ve thoroughly confessed."

"Hmph." Ruby Sullivan pried his hand away, "Don’t think you can fool me into believing I’m dumb, I’m smarter than ever now."

Ethan Sterling chuckled, recalling how she agreed to Gwen living at their home and even asked Mama Bennett and Owen Fulton to prepare a room. He couldn’t help but laugh, "We’re an old married couple, why would we care about such things?"

He looked down at her, his smiling eyes bright and full of charm.

Ruby Sullivan turned her head, puffing her cheeks. She couldn’t win the argument against him and didn’t want to talk.

How can he mock her using the words she flaunts around? Indeed, this man is making fun of her and not flirting!

After departing, the two headed to the nearby mall. There weren’t the usual brands Ethan Sterling wore like Armani or Louis Vuitton here; he could switch a complete outfit in under three thousand.

Standing at the shop entrance, Ethan Sterling hesitated, "Are you sure you want to buy my clothes here?"
