Holding the stinky tofu, Ruby Sullivan seemed to have returned to her college days. She loved this place back then, often coming here with Sasha Shaw and Faye Truman, eating from one end of the street to the other, and finally grabbing a peeled coconut with a straw from the fruit shop to drink on the way back to school.

By the time they got back to school, their bellies were stuffed full.

The only thing missing from her happy youth was him, the man she had always secretly loved.

At that time, Ethan Sterling had already taken over The Sterling Group and was extremely busy. She occasionally went to The Sterling Family home under the pretense of seeing the elder Mrs. Sterling, but she never managed to encounter him.

Ruby Sullivan held the stinky tofu up to Ethan Sterling’s face, teasing with a raised eyebrow, "Mr. Sterling, give this a try. I bet once you take a bite, you’ll fall in love with this irresistible taste."

Ethan Sterling instinctively recoiled a little and calmly asked, "Do you really want me to eat it?"

Ruby Sullivan knew that with Ethan Sterling’s personality, he would never eat such street food. She didn’t expect him to want to share this dating fun with her, she just wanted to make up for a regret from her teen years.

However, Ethan Sterling’s expression right now was just too amusing. The fearless Mr. Sterling was actually afraid of stinky tofu!

So she held back her laughter and nodded, "Of course I want to share something this delicious with you." She was just trying to tease him a bit, not actually forcing him to do something he didn’t like. The next second, she saw Ethan Sterling grimace as he bit into a piece of stinky tofu, chewed hastily, and quickly swallowed it.

"Not bad," Ethan Sterling said with a green face, took her hand, and started walking forward. He was indeed somewhat disdainful of the air near this stall.

Ruby Sullivan remained in shock at the scene, wondering if she was dreaming or if the Ethan Sterling beside her was an imposter.

Ethan Sterling, seeing her looking lost, had to stop and ask, "What’s wrong with you?"

The rest of the date went smoothly, just like Ruby Sullivan had once dreamed.

Anything she wanted to eat, like durian puffs, fried meatballs, teppanyaki, he would follow behind and pay for, one hand holding the things and the other holding her hand.

Ethan Sterling, seeing her eyes gleaming as she stood in front of the stall, felt a bit helpless, "Ms. Sullivan, you’ve eaten too much already, your stomach will hurt."

"But this is a must-eat!" Ruby Sullivan bit her lower lip, looking at Ethan Sterling with a heartache and tilting her head, pleadingly.

Ethan Sterling sighed, "Boss, two potato pancakes."

Ruby Sullivan was so happy to hear this that she almost cried with joy, pulling Ethan Sterling’s arm and leaning against him, "I knew you were the best."

After Ethan Sterling paid by scanning a code, he took the potato pancakes from the vendor, "Eat them after your stomach has digested a bit."

"Okay." Ruby Sullivan agreed cheerfully, so happy that she began to hum a tune.

Ethan Sterling’s lips curved slightly upward, unexpectedly, the power of potato pancakes was so significant, he might consider bringing her here more often.

As soon as the thought crossed his mind, the memory of the stinky tofu’s taste popped back up, and he instantly dismissed the idea, thinking it might be more reliable to have Mama Bennett learn how to make potato pancakes.

After leaving the snack street, Ethan Sterling accompanied Ruby Sullivan to her alma mater.

H University was considered a second-rate school in the country, and the school wasn’t particularly glamorous, with many small shabby buildings with roofs made of corrugated steel, all with signs indicating food and drinks available inside.

Ruby Sullivan eagerly introduced a delicacy called "pancake rolls with everything," to which Ethan Sterling felt he had discovered a whole new world.

"Do you want to try it?" Ruby Sullivan gave him that mischievous look again.

Ethan Sterling, already familiar with her tricks, cooperated with a smile, "I do."

"Trust me, it’s a guarantee!" She laughed as she rushed into a small shop to buy him a pancake roll with everything, but soon returned empty-handed.

It was already past mealtime, so they had sold out, and the next batch wouldn’t be ready until 4 PM.

"Seems like you’re out of luck." It was Ethan Sterling who was out of luck, but Ruby Sullivan wilted as if in sympathy for him.

Ethan Sterling smiled, ruffling her hair, "Don’t worry, we can try again next time."

"Would you still be willing to come with me?" Ruby Sullivan was surprised.

She was happy to come here and relive her youth, but she also knew that for Ethan Sterling, a place like this was likely of little interest, maybe even a bit of aversion. After all, this guy was picky with food even at five-star restaurants.

"I would." Ethan Sterling answered with certainty.

He had never seen her so energetic, and if coming here could help her regain her confidence, he didn’t mind accompanying her as often as she wanted. Besides, this place was filled with her youthful memories, and although he had missed out back then, accompanying her to relive them was rather interesting.

Ethan Sterling chuckled softly, "Going on a date with someone you like, is there really a need for repayment... is there such a good thing?"

Someone you like... Ruby Sullivan froze up again, her silly heart never knowing when it would get used to Mr. Sterling’s spontaneous confessions.

"Ahem..." She blinked and changed the subject, "What did you eat when you were in school? As far as I know, Ariston University’s canteen is quite famous!"

Ariston University is a top-tier college in the country, and while someone of Ethan Sterling’s caliber would typically choose to study abroad at a prestigious university, since he had to take over The Sterling Group while completing his education, he didn’t go abroad.

"Is that so?" Ethan Sterling murmured, a trace of regret flashing in his eyes, "Will you accompany me to eat there sometime?"

"Sure." Ruby Sullivan nodded repeatedly, though she had a feeling that Mr. Sterling’s expression seemed to suggest he had never actually eaten at Ariston University’s canteen.
