Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!-Chapter 137: A Friend’s Man
Ruby Sullivan traded a homemade weekend meal for Naomi Sinclair’s help.
Although they’re both women, Ruby Sullivan felt a bit nervous about sleeping with someone else other than Sasha Shaw.
Naomi Sinclair, however, was curious about the perfume she was wearing, "What perfume are you using? It smells really good."
"Daydream, it’s the second of the Dream series planned for a Christmas launch." Ruby Sullivan deliberately used this perfume today, hoping that if someone asked during their chat, she could use the opportunity for some promotion.
She frequently used this tactic during various big shows, parties, and banquets; those who attended were usually influential people within the same circle, and even being noticed by one person could greatly aid the product launch.
Unexpectedly, there were hardly any female friends at Naomi Sinclair’s birthday dinner, and most of the male guests didn’t bring dates, foiling her plan.
Naomi Sinclair then tugged on her wrist and sniffed hard, "Daydream, what a good name."
Ruby Sullivan laughed, "I like the name too."
"Let’s go to sleep." Naomi Sinclair chuckled and turned off the lights. Neither of them wanted to draw the curtains, so the room wasn’t very dark, although from just turning their head, they couldn’t make out each other’s facial features.
Ariston’s nights are never short of lights, especially in such a city center area.
"Will you divorce Mr. Sterling?" Naomi Sinclair stared at the ceiling with a deep voice that seemed to carry many stories in such a night.
Ruby Sullivan could have chosen not to answer, but strangely, she didn’t want to refuse, "I don’t know." That was what her heart truly felt.
"It’s okay, I’ll have your back, don’t be afraid." Naomi Sinclair held her hand, just like the big sister in school, her words childish yet full of camaraderie.
Ruby Sullivan couldn’t help but laugh, "Thanks."

Ethan Sterling sat on the edge of the bed. After Rhonda Sullivan fell asleep, he gently extracted his hand from hers and left The Sullivan Family home.
He imagined the situation at home in his car, but didn’t expect to find an empty house waiting for him.
At three in the morning, he couldn’t find her.
Although he knew her phone was set to do not disturb at night, he still called, three times in a row, all predictably unanswered.
He thought about her standing with L, and Rhonda Sullivan’s words made his heart restless.
Ruby Sullivan was still groggy when Naomi Sinclair pulled her up, "Let’s go, let’s go, watch the sunrise."
She didn’t wash her face, ready to leave in her pajamas.
Ruby Sullivan sat up shakily, pulled off the bed by her. The chilly air suddenly reminded her that she wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
Last night Naomi Sinclair forcibly made her stay, naturally, there were no change of clothes to wear. Although her underwear was washed and hanging in the bathroom, thinking of having to put on last night’s dress, she got lazy and lay back on the bed, "I don’t want to watch the sunrise, I want to sleep."
Naomi Sinclair was not having it, she jumped onto the bed, waving her fingers in threat, "If you don’t get up now, I won’t be polite!"
"Not getting up, not getting up." Ruby Sullivan lazily turned away from her, continuing to sleep.
Naomi Sinclair didn’t hesitate a bit, started tickling her waist, she was an expert in tickling! Ruby Sullivan quickly surrendered, put on her underwear at lightning speed, at Naomi Sinclair’s wise command, put on the hotel bathrobe, draped a thin blanket, and went out like a ghost with her.
Ruby Sullivan had once watched a sunrise in Bellaza with Honey, it was when Honey first came out of the ICU, before she decided to return home; because sunrise stands for hope, she wanted to soak up some good luck for herself.
At this moment, Naomi Sinclair sat on the wicker chair, squinting at the rising sun between the buildings, suddenly raised her arms happily and shouted, "I survived another year, so happy!"
Then she tilted her head and said to Ruby Sullivan, "Let me tell you a little secret, the doctor said I wouldn’t live past eighteen."
Half of her face was painted gold by the sunlight, half fell into shadow making it hard to see, yet that smile was truly innocent.
Ruby Sullivan recalled something she read in a book, saying innocence should be used to describe women with some experience; they’ve gone through events yet choose to live simply; that’s true innocence.
Ruby Sullivan thought, Naomi Sinclair’s name really suited her.
After a nap, the two had lunch together in the hotel, then Naomi Sinclair drove her convertible sports car to give Ruby Sullivan a ride home.
Ruby Sullivan intended to take a taxi, but she said she wanted to recognize the place so she could come over on the weekend for a meal.
Outside The Sterling Family, Ruby Sullivan got out of the car, "I’ll change my clothes and head to work, so I won’t invite you in."
"No problem, let’s hang out again on the weekend." Naomi Sinclair waved at her, stylishly put on her sunglasses, stepped on the gas and dashed away, her car driving as smoothly as her ways.
Ruby Sullivan watched her car disappear before going inside.
There was no one in the living room; Rachel Lawson and Seth had gone to the hospital. She checked the time and planned to go upstairs for a nap, waking up so early made her a bit unfit, even after the nap she still felt sleepy.
To her surprise, she opened the door to find Ethan Sterling in the room, startling her, "Why are you home?"
"Why are you just coming back?"
Ruby Sullivan struggled to reach the zipper of her dress while explaining, "Last night Naomi Sinclair kept me to write a recipe for braised pork and then begged me to stay at the hotel, we went to watch the sunrise early in the morning."
Ethan Sterling stood up and helped her unzip the dress, suddenly biting down on her shoulder, holding her waist tightly, sighing, "Didn’t you say you were going home?"
Ruby Sullivan grimaced from the pain but blushed instantly, a natural reaction after being with him these days. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
She was fond of his scent, even if she tried to be tough, she couldn’t control her body.
"I was prepared to go home when I called." She felt his tender kisses, her breathing getting heavier.
"Didn’t you see I called?" Even if you didn’t hear it at night, seeing it during the day would mean you should call me back, right? Ethan Sterling frowned at the thought, and bit her again, but this time not as hard.
"My phone was off." Ruby Sullivan’s dress had already fallen to the ground.
She turned to face him, cradled his face, and in the next second jumped onto him, kissing him passionately.
After a bout of entanglement, Ruby Sullivan got up to take a shower.
Ethan Sterling watched her back, suddenly asking, "Don’t you want to know about last night?"
Ruby Sullivan paused for a moment, "If you want to talk about it, wait until tonight, I don’t want it to affect my mood for work this afternoon." She finished, thinking of Naomi Sinclair’s words, "Naomi Sinclair asked me to pass on a message for you, she agreed to your proposal."
Ethan Sterling was surprised, "Didn’t she attach any conditions?"
Ruby Sullivan turned and gave him a faint smile, "A bit of a pity, she said you can’t covet a friend’s man."
