Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 74: Move out, woman. - II
"You are really rude, you know that?" Evelyn told him with an unbelievable expression on her face. She could not believe that he practically told her to get out of his house after offering to stay here for as long as she wanted.
Lucas gave her an unapologetic shrug. "To be honest, I was all right until the house was in repairs. Totally forgot who my brother was, so you can go up now."
Never mind or repairs you always knew that Salvatore would get everything repaired within one night. The problem is if Salvatore and Evelyn both stayed here Lucas would be driven to insanity if he was not already.
Evelyn scoffed incredulously. She could not will believe the nerve of the man.
She narrowed her eyes at him. Lucas seemed to be very sincere when he offered her to stay at his house in the morning which only made her wonder to what happened now?
"Why you want me to move out so suddenly?" Evelyn tilted her head up slightly. "What if I don’t move out?"
"Move out, woman." Lucas grated out. "Do you want me to throw you out?" He couldn’t do that but it meant no harm in saying the words.
One thing that Lucas was never capable of was hurting a woman until and unless utterly needed. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"No." Evelyn replied equally stubbornly.
He scoffed at her answer. "This is my house." He pointed his finger towards the floor. "If I ask you to leave, you leave."
Even if she was trying to bury the feeling inside her heart, Evelyn could not ignore how it felt. It was like she was being discarded to decide and no matter how much Evelyn and wanted to stand up for herself she felt bad.
"I’ll go after collecting my stuff from here." Evelyn changed the direction without a word protest. She walked back to the guest room where her stuff was and wordlessly show would everything in the bags that had previously been taken out of them.
Within ten minutes, the room appear to be as it was before Evelyn and Salvatore had inhabited it. It looked like to guest rooms, far away from life inside it.
She gave a long shaky sigh as she looked around the room one last time to make sure that she was not forgetting anything.
Evelyn repeatedly blinked her eyes to get rid of the tears. It slightly hurt her to know and even if she was trying her best to forget about it was difficult.
Holding the back that she had taken with her to the college, Evelyn held the handles of the suitcases that she had brought for the stay of a well.
"Evelyn," Lucas stood up straight just as the door to the guest room opened. "I apologize for that." He had been out of line by asking had to move out like that.
The lack of sleep for the past few weeks had been getting to him making him more irritated and agitated than normal.
She shook her head. She waved it off. "Its okay." She told him softly. Truth be told if it was Evelyn’s house and she did not want anyone here she would have been straightforward as well.
Or maybe not. Evelyn could never be rude to her guest and tell them to leave her house immediately. She could never be like Lucas and how he had been to her because if she had asked someone to stay in her house for a week she was going to let them stay there.
"It’s completely find Lucas. Just as you told me since the wall has been repaired, I have no reason to stay here anymore." Evelyn gave him a gentle smile before waving her hand and moving out.
Just as always Julian took her bags without a word and from learning by the past Evelyn just handed them over.
She stared at the closed doors of the lift as the lift move upward and came to a stop. Julian enter the passcode and moved out of the left taking the bags along.
It was Evelyn that stopped and moved very slowly out of the small metal box and stared at the wall behind the dining table.
It was no longer a giant wall. But it was hardly been made up of bricks and stones too. It was hardly around a feet of solid wall added before it was all glass again but this time instead of the wall being completely glass, there were 3 dividing the glass in equal parts.
Evelyn really wanted was the architect was thinking when he was reconstructing and repairing the wall. Why would he add more glass to it?
"The wall madam," Julian clasped his hands in front of him, "the glass now is bulletproof, in fact it is bomb proof too. A 3 feet of wall had to be added so that it could hold the glass better from shattering."
Julian honestly appeared to be like a unenthusiastic tour guide.
"But why not take the glass wall out for once and all?" Evelyn glanced at the wall of break and glass. It did look good.
When she looked back at Julian for his lack of answer she noticed how uncomfortable the man looked for the first time in her presence.
"That would be something that the Don would be able to answer better." He said firmly. " Excuse me madam, if there is nothing that I can be use of."
Evelyn stepped aside and let him good into the left to leave.
Just as the door closed and she saw the lift moving down, she looked back at the wall before slowly walking to it and taking her place on the 2nd seat which was on the side of the head chair.
"Why?" Evelyn could not help but question. If the wall was responsible for intrusion than it should have been eradicated as the first thing to do.
Slightly concerned for her life, Evelyn knew that she had to question him and fortunately the lift doors opened but they opened to a sigut that she was not ready to see.
