Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 139: A bitter baby - VI
"Kill me then," the words left her mouth and before she knew she opened her eyes, willing herself to do the same as she had spoken.
"It would be easy for all of us, Don." She took the name that had been ordered for her to take. "It would be easy for all of us if I just died. You could blame it on anyone."
"Imagine that I went out of the house to a mall or anywhere and the entire car blew up." She shrugged, "you could kill everyone to be responsible for it but.. it would all be over without damaging your reputation."
She was talking about getting herself killed. In fact, Evelyn was actually plotting how to get herself can do with her husband. Not only that, but she was actually telling him how to do it.
It would be and that was the very truth of it all.
This was the only way that she could protect herself and the baby in one go. Evelyn had not even begin to think about the baby and giving birth to it was the most stupid thought that she could have at the moment.
Salvatore would definitely know about the father of the child and Evelyn even consider the fact that she could handover the child to the father when both of them were dying.
The father would be the first one to go and by the looks of it Salvatore would definitely make sure that no one knew of the child’s existence if he did not vanish it first.
The reality and the situation did not give any way out of itself which is why I will have to take it the way it was. She had to look for the survival options first.
"Even though your plan is very convincing," he said with a nod of his head as if considering her plan, "I don’t want you to let you off the hook so easily." He chuckled.
"You and I both know that that for you would be the easiest way out of it."
Of course, Evelyn gave a bitter chuckle in her mind. He would catch on to the fact that she was trying to find the easy way out of it and would stop him after all. He was going to torture her and was going to make sure that she did not have it in the easiest way possible.
"How is it that you think you can provide me with the solution to it all?" He asked and she gulped looking at his feet. "If you think that there is a remote chance for you to escape it by setting yourself up In flames, go ahead and do it but I will make sure that you come out of it alive, Evelyn."
She bit her lip. He would. Burning herself alive would be considered one of the punishments and she would have to endure because it was obvious he was not going to let her die easily.
"Then what is it that you are going to do to me?" She asked the most awaited question. "You’re not going to kill me yet. So what is it that you are going to do to me?"
As she had the balls to finally ask the question Salvatore stared at her and narrowed his eyes at her very briefly.
It was like he was slightly amused by the fact that she still had the guts to ask him that even though her life was hanging by a thin thread.
"How nice of you to ask me the question that your future depends on, Evelyn." He chuckled, a chuckle out of joy. "What is it that makes you think I’m going to answer it?"
"Why not?" She whispered back. Why not answer back to him as well. She was going to die, so why not?
"Because not knowing is the part of the fun." He answered with a grin. "This is the most fun you’re going to have in this game. Imagine what I am going to bring to you tomorrow? Scratch that, imagine how are you going to spend the entire time till tomorrow?"
Of course. Salvatore had chosen this room for a reason. He had chosen this room for the reason which had no clock or window because he wanted her to go mad while thinking about how the time was passing and what time it was.
A wolfish grin came to his face. He knew that she had picked on the fact from the beginning of the time that she had spent in her room.
"Do you even know how long you have spent in this room?" He asked but once again did not wait for her to answer the question. "I am thinking of sending someone to bring you one meal a day. That would carry on the suspense ride? You would never know if it is dinner, lunch or breakfast."
Maybe if—
"Especially when you would eat the same fucking dish each and every time." He completed before she could complete what she was thinking.
Of course.
If she ate one dish each and every time, it would be difficult for her to tell what was breakfast, what was lunch and what was dinner. There were three meals and in those three meals people chose to eat different things that would indicate what it was.
He had planned everything out for her it seemed. The torture had barely begun and the words roamed in her mind without taxes.
"Please.." She whispered out pathetically begging him for something that she knew she was not going to get. "Please.."
What did she want? Evelyn prayed that he let her go but that was going to be a futile prayer. All she could pray for, was a quick and easy death.
"Oh please Evelyn," He sighed loudly and got up from the bed. He started to button his jacket, going out of the room, "thank you for giving me this opportunity. The opportunity that I thought I would never have with my wife."
